Jake Paul defeated an aged Mike Tyson in Netflix’s first-ever live sporting event leaving social media in an uproar.

Last night Netflix extended dominance in live streaming with the highly anticipated Jake Vs Mike Tyson global boxing event. Unfortunately, the live stream suffered buffer after buffer leaving many unable to watch on their smart tvs while iPhones and iPad reigned supreme. As the bell sounded it was evident to everyone with eyes Mike’s muscle memory was there but his legs however were not the same.

While Jake pulled punches on the boxing legend Mike was attempting to go for blood but couldn’t quite get himself in position. Towards the end, the usually cocky Paul coasted the icon to the finish line.

“Yeah, definitely. Definitely a bit. I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.” Paul confirmed when asked if he let off the gas after round three.

Paul also saw the backlash on social media and revealed he didn’t feel Tyson’s power, which likely prompted a change in the match’s game plan.

“I tried to give the best fight I possibly could, but when someone’s just surviving in the ring, basically it’s hard to make it exciting.” Paul explained. “So I couldn’t really get him to engage me or slip shots and do something super cool or whatever, but I don’t care about what people have to say. They’re always going to have something to say and that it is what it is.”

According to CNN, Paul’s unanimous win came with judges ruling 80-72-,79-73 and 79-73. While the fight was entertaining Mike had zero business in the ring. Immediately after the event Gervonta Davis wasted no time calling Jake Paul a “bozo” for stepping in the ring with Mike and not getting the knockout.

“To the bozo that shared the ring w Mike..you a whole bozo for this and you didn’t get the job done [sh*t emoji] head..” – Gervonta posted on Instagram. ”One more thing… ima beat the brakes off Jake when I catch em…upper cut jap jap left hook upper cut..hook. Watch.” wrote Davis in a follow up post.

This was a strategic play to make Netflix’s night about himself as he is the face of traditional boxing. Jake Paul surprisingly accepted his challenge responding “I mean I’d be down let’s run it” before taking a jab at Davis’ height. With the insane payday attached it’s only a matter of time before Gervonta or Conor McGregor step up to get in the ring with Paul.

On Nov. 15, Gabrielle Union announced that she was deactivating her X (formerly Twitter) account, making her the latest celeb to exit the social media app after Trump’s presidential victory.

The actress posted a lengthy statement about her decision to formally part ways with the Elon Musk-controlled app, which recently updated its terms of services to protect itself against lawsuits and increasing criticism.

“Platforms like X were founded on authentic connections, true engagement and creative expression, all anchored in respect for user privacy and trust,” Union said in her statement. “Yet, with the recent and upcoming changes to the terms of condition—and the return of volatile figures—I find myself at a crossroads, facing a direction that I can no longer fully support. I am committed to engaging in spaces that truly value inclusivity, respect, and integrity in the digital world. Sometimes, that means recognizing the last straw and knowing when to step away.”

She also let fans know that she’ll be using the BlueSky app, which has grown in popularity in the weeks following the election.

Our girl Gabby isn’t the only public figure to say so long to Elon and his MAGA minions on X as of late. Former CNN correspondent Don Lemon also bid farewell to the social platform this week, citing growing concerns about free speech and the possibility of it being used for Trump propaganda.

“I once believed it was a place for honest debate and discussion, transparency and free speech, but now I feel it does not serve that purpose,” he said in a statement.

Lemon also encouraged fans to follow him on BlueSky. It seems like a mass exodus of X is imminent, and celebrities are helping to lead the charge. BlueSky was formerly started in 2019 by the original Twitter founder, Jack Dorsey, but the platform split from him in 2022, according to USA Today. Today, it is owned and operated by Jay Graber, Jeremie Miller, Mike Masnick, and Kinjal Shah.

The brothers behind a self-financed film and production powerhouse are opening up about beginnings, business acumen, and the generational wealth-growing work they’ve accomplished.

Burke Brothers

Source: Burke Entertainment

Brothers Victor and Vanzil Burke are the moguls behind Burke Entertainment, a self-financed film and production powerhouse that stands firm on their familial foundation. After suffering the tremendous loss of their middle brother, Von, Vanzil told BOSSIP that he and Victor grew closer, and the building blocks for them to become business partners were set in place.

Their company, initially a talent management firm launched in 2007 by CEO Vanzil and joined by Victor, the president, in 2009, eventually shifted into film and television production, and according to Vanzil, the transition just made sense.

“While we were in the management space, we realized that talent representation alone wasn’t the full answer. That’s based on actors going out and booking the role, and that’s when you get 10%. Unless you have a huge roster of A and B list actors, it’s not something that’s very lucrative.

Burke Brothers

Vanzil said that his brother Victor told him there had to be another way, so they took a leap into film and television. Part of that leap included a deeper understanding of industry trends and production possibilities inspired by reading business literature, specifically the book CAA Powerhouse, which details how it became the biggest talent agency in the world.

“I read the book and it changed our perspective in our lives as far as how we did the business because what CAA did under Michael Obis, one of the founding partners, is they started packaging. CAA started the business of packaging, so they’ll have the writer, the director, the lead actor,–the package and they’ll take it to a network and make a hit movie. My brother Victor said, ‘That’s what we need to start doing, representing directors and writers as our producing our own content. That’s the answer.’”

Now for Burke Entertainment, part of that answer includes working with Coke Daniels, who’s collaborated with them on His, Hers & the Truth, 2021’s Karen, which made waves as the #1 independent film in the country for two weeks straight, and 2024’s Waterboyz which saw Daniels garner “Best Director” at ABFF.

“Coke became like our brother,” Victor told BOSSIP. “Our mom used to call him son, and we made him an honorary member of our neighborhood where we grew up. It’s been a very solid business relationship with Coke.”

As they continue expanding in entertainment, they are also collaborating with T.I., who recently directed, produced, and starred in City of Situationships, alongside Terrence J, Jessie Woo, DC Young Fly, Too $hort, DomiNque Perry, and Young Dro.

Despite initial hesitations, Vanzil expressed his confidence in the rapper-turned-director’s performance, especially after the King of the South asked for an opportunity to prove himself.

“Victor, Vanzil, I got this. I know I could do this, man. I just need you guys to believe in me,” Vanzil recalled him saying. “But I know I could do this. When I tell you that T.I. did exactly that—jumping behind the camera, giving directions, and jumping in front of the camera—I was blown away by his talent. He was brilliant, I want to attest that he’s a brilliant brother.”

Victor agreed with his brother’s sentiments.

“The very first thing that you notice from Tip is two things. Number one, you’re going to see how brilliant and smart he is, his vocabulary is off the charts. Secondly, you’re going to see creativity oozing out of his pores because he is just a talent like I have never witnessed while on set. When his mind and his heart are set on something, he’s not going to stop until he gets support.”

Other upcoming projects for the Burke brothers include the horror thriller Werewolves, which will be released in theaters on December 6, and Christmas in the Friendly Skies, a romantic holiday comedy.

As their projects grow in scale, the brothers remain grounded in their shared values and hope to be examples of familial legacy and a successful Black business.

“We’ve seen that it can be challenging to work together in our community,” said Vanzil who’s already scouting out the next generation of their family who can carry on their legacy. “But we also want to show that it’s possible to work through issues. Yes, there will be bumps in the road, but that doesn’t mean we have to part ways. You can sit down, talk it out, and find ways to move forward together.”

“When people ask if we’re really brothers, we tell them, yes, we’re real brothers,” added his brother Victor. “That makes everyone be in awe of us this because we are real brothers, it makes people feel like they want to be part of this. This is a family business and it’s respectable, it’s very respectable.”

Burke Brothers

Ultimately, the two respect each other in their respective positions as President and CEO, and according to Vanzil he’s beyond grateful to make the waves with his big brother by his side.

“I’ve been grateful and I thank God every day when I pray. I thank God for my brother and this relationship.”

Prosecutors are alleging that Sean “Diddy” Combs is trying to use his power to escape consequences.

District attorneys in Diddy’s case have presented evidence to prove that the disgraced music mogul attempted to contact witnesses while in jail awaiting trial. Prosecutors are also alleging that he broke several jail rules to make these contacts.

As BOSSIP reported, Combs and his legal team have submitted a new bail package after being denied three times. He is currently in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial for sex trafficking and racketeering charges. In response to the filing, prosecutors provided evidence suggesting that the Bad Boy founder had broken the Bureau of Prisons rules and that he should not receive bail. According to Legal Affairs and Trials with Meghann Cunniffthe prosecutors alleged they’ve heard dozens of jail phone calls in which Combs attempted three-way calls, which is against the rules.

In the calls, Combs allegedly instructs people to pay other inmates for their personal access codes, which are used for phone calls. Inmates were paid “through payment processing apps and BOP commissary account deposits.”

The prosecution also clarified that the hip-hop producer couldn’t claim that he wasn’t aware of these rules.

“The defendant knows this is against BOP regulations: at the outset of each telephone call, the inmate is prompted to enter his PAC number, after which an automated recording announces: ‘Sharing of PAC numbers is against BOP policy and is subject to disciplinary action,” the filing stated.

Prosecutors are accusing Combs of trying to create a public ruse in which he will influence the potential jurors in Diddy’s case. This includes having his children post on his social media accounts and monitor the response.

“The defendant (from within the [Metropolitan Detention Center]) then monitored the analytics—i.e., audience engagement—and explicitly discussed with his family how to ensure that the video had his desired effect on potential jury members in this case,” the opposing filing stated according to Legal Affairs and Trials with Meghann Cunniff. “Besides flagrantly violating the Court’s October 25, 2024 order prohibiting this kind of interference with a fair trial, the defendant’s own words make clear that his intent is to improperly influence the jury pool in this criminal proceeding.”

The lengthy filing from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York in Manhattan details all this and more.

Prosecution Alleges Diddy Tried To Bribe A Witness

As if Diddy’s case weren’t messy enough, prosecutors accuse him of trying to contact witnesses, reports Legal Affairs and Trials with Meghann Cunniff.

In Combs’ filing for bail, they specify that his connection to Witness-2, who is a former bandmate of Diddy’s, should not be an issue.

However, the opposition stated Combs and the witness ceased contact in March 2024, but Combs reached out in September once his name appeared in a lawsuit. The witness, who has been identified as a woman, then posted a statement to her Instagram on Sept. 13.

During a pre-planned nationwide sweep of BOP facilities, officers found notes detailing Combs’ plans in his cell. Prosecutors believe the note indicates he paid the witness.

“The strong inference to be drawn from the defendant’s communications with Witness-2 and his personal notes is that the defendant paid Witness-2 after she posted her statement,” the filing read.

Combs is expected to be in court for a final decision on his bail package on Nov. 22.

Jhene Aiko and Big Sean are among music’s golden couples, and fans have long been waiting to see them tie the knot. Unfortunately, however, it looks like wedding bells won’t be ringing anytime soon.

On Wednesday, the pair were spotted leaving the 2024 GQ Men of the Year Party in Los Angeles when cameras snapped them heading to a waiting SUV. Jhene was noticeably rocking a huge ring on her left hand, which set the internet ablaze with speculation that the Detroit-born rapper had finally popped the question.

One fan posted the footage on X (formerly Twitter) and added the caption, “Jhene got her ring. Bullying works,” but the singer quickly chimed in to set the record straight.

This ring is from my stylist. It only fit on that finger, the more you know,” said Jhene.

The musical couple has been together for the better part of the last decade and welcomed their son, Noah, in 2022.

Earlier this year, however, Big Sean stunned fans by saying he feels they’re still not quite ready to walk down the aisle.

“It’s a little personal, you know what I mean,” he told Charlamagne Tha God during the press run for his Better You Than Me album. “But just like to be real with you, just like any people who have dealt with love, we’ve had our ups and downs, you know what I’m saying? And I think it’s still finding the right navigation through it all.”

He continued,

“I don’t like putting our personal business out there like that but there’s a lot of work that needs to be done.”

He did say that he plans to marry the “Sativa” singer, but it seems like he hasn’t actually popped the question yet. The couple shared the stage during Jhene‘s Magic Hour tour, and the singer was seen responding to one of Sean‘s verses with “What ring?” This sparked a larger social media discussion about what the rapper was waiting on to make her his wife.

Malcolm X

Source: Mirrorpix / Getty

Malcolm X’s assassination is one of the most devastating losses that the civil rights era took alongside his often-compared colleague Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is one of the most significant deaths in American history and the discourse on how and why it happened persists to the this day. Who set in motion the events that led to X’s public execution at the Audubon Ballroom on Feb. 21, 1965? Brotha Malcolm’s family believes they have a good idea of who should receive the blame.

According to USA Today, ubiquitous civil rights attorney Ben Crump has announced a $100 million lawsuit against several United States government, FBI, CIA, and NYPD that accuses them of conspiring not only on X’s death but also the subsequent decades-long coverup. Crump stood alongside Malcolm’s daughter, Ilyasah Shabazz, at a press conference held at the Malcolm X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center in New York.

“It is not lost on us that justice has been delayed in this matter, and on this momentous occasion, we stand ready to lay out our complaint very soundly,” Crump said. “The government fingerprints are all over the assassination of Malcolm X. And finally, we believe we have the evidence to prove it.”

Two of the men who were ultimately convicted of the murder, Muhammad Aziz and Khalil Islam, were exonerated in 2021. Both men maintained that they were innocent during their over twenty year prison stint.

That same year, former and now-deceased NYPD officer Raymond Wood wrote a letter in which he confessed that he was ordered to coerce members of Malcolm’s security team into crimes so that they would be arrested and thus unable to attend the event at the Audubon.

“It was my assignment to draw the two men into a felonious federal crime so that they could be arrested by the FBI and kept away from managing Malcolm X’s door security on Feb. 21, 1965,” Wood wrote. “At that time, I was not aware that Malcolm X was the target.”

It’s a dirty game and someone needs to uncover the truth. Hopefully, attorney Crump and his associates have all the evidence they need to do so.

You know what it is!

The red carpet at the GQ Men of the Year Party featured what GQ describes as the “culture-pioneering cover stars” of their annual Men of the Year. This year, Entertainer of the Year went to Dwayne Johnson, Comedian of the Year to John Mulaney, and Designer of the Year to Pharrell Williams.

The party was western-themed, a choice that GQ editor-in-chief Will Welch explained to Variety.

“It starts with country dominance,” he told Variety. “I grew up listening to country music — Dwight Yoakam, Garth Brooks, stuff like that – but we’ve also seen country just take over, the charts, all this hip hop fusion of country, people like Post Malone kind of going country, Beyoncé going country with Cowboy Carter and of course another big moment was Pharrell doing a big cowboy collection for Louis Vuitton. It seems like a moment.”

Welch continued: “Then we were talking about that this is the 29th Men of the Year and you have to keep reinventing yourself and reinventing things so we had this idea of the [party’s] livestream and we thought American rodeo and creating a state fair atmosphere,” Welch continued. “Once we had that idea click in, the rest was easy.”

When you hear ‘American rodeo,’ you’re like, ‘I want to go to that,’” he added. “Dressing up in a rodeo western way, everybody could do it. It’s incredible how many people tonight are on theme.”

Dame Dash -

Dame Dash can put all the drama around his 1/3 share of Roc-A-Fella behind him after New York State purchased the property.

The 1/3 of Roc-A-Fella Records owned by Dame Dash has been the center of attention since the announcement the shares would head to public auction. While the sale was intended to pay off a $832,000 judgment against him it seems Uncle Sam wants his money first. New York State bought the 1/3 shares of Jay-Z’s iconic Roc-A-Fella records at a private auction on Thursday.

According to the New York Post, the state won the auction with an anonymous $1 million bid. The state plans to sell the 33.3% stake with enough profit to cover Dame’s $8.7 million tax debt. Also, the state didn’t have to front the cash to cover the purchase because they used a “credits bid” to win the auction.

Jay-Z has already filed the proper paperwork putting whomever ends up with the shares on notice eventually it will revert to him in 2031. The only question is if $8.7 million is worth Hova paying to obtain ownership six years early. After all, purchasing from the government should be easier than a potential clout chaser. Roc-A-Fella only owns one asset, Jay-Z’s first album Reasonable Doubt.

Is the steep price worth paying $8.7 million to own 1/3 of the album for a limited time?

Despite exiting the Real Housewives Of Atlanta, Kenya Moore is making it clear that she’s still employed by Bravo and could potentially return to your television screens.

Kenya Moore

Source: Charles Sykes / Bravo

As previously reported, the #RHOA star appeared on Tamron Hall Thursday and took accountability for the heated confrontation with season 16 newcomer Brit Eady that led to her exit. According to Kenya, she was protecting not only herself but her daughter by exposing “distasteful” photos of Eady at the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa.

Kenya expounded on that further in her sit-down with Tamron, first noting that she was not fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“I was never fired,” said Kenya matter-of-factly. “There were a lot of headlines… ‘Kenya was fired. She was fired,’ and they were not true.”

She also clarified that she remains under contract with Bravo and still receives paychecks from the network.

She went on to tell the host that tensions with Eady escalated during season 16 filming when things “took a dark turn” due to Eady allegedly threatening her.

“There was a young lady who was new, and she just was poking the bear,” Moore said. “Everybody knows the saying: ‘Don’t come for me unless I send for you.’ During taping, the young lady escalated to the point where mics were torn off, there was screaming, obscenities, and threats directed at me,” said Kenya who alleged that Brit said “You don’t know who I am.”

Feeling unprotected by the production team, who she believes ignored her like a “Black Karen,” conducting online research about Eady and presenting explicit material she found during a taping session.

“I found some information with a few clicks and people helping me. I didn’t get things sent to me; I found them,” she explained. “I showed one receipt during taping, knowing the network would likely blur it out. I found a lot but I only showed one.”

“Were you building a moment?” Tamron asked. “Were you trying to have a Kenya moment, and this backfired?”

“I don’t think it’s a Kenya moment, I live my truth. My moment is my life. I don’t need to create a moment,” said Kenya.

While Moore insisted her intent was self-protection, she admitted that it was an incorrect move.

“If I could do it all over again…” started Kenya. “I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation, I’ve elevated situations before—and I’ve taken full accountability for the things that I’ve done. I am sorry for what I’ve done,” she said.

“I didn’t have to take it that far but when I felt threatened, I’ve never had a child and be in this situation before. So that’s why I escalated it to the point where I was protecting not only myself but my child,” she added through tears.

Kenya also denied that her actions were revenge porn and noted that she’s indeed still employed by Bravo.

Hit the flip for her comments.
