Michael Jordan reveals the last conversation he had with Kobe Bryant and the fun jabs he threw at the Lakers legend.

The Celebration of Life for Kobe & Gianna Bryant

Michael Jordan comes from an era without social media. To this day, you’ll never know what Jordan is up to at any certain time and he always make sure to stay out of the way. There are infamous stories about Michael floating around that makes his mysterious nature even funner—The legendary Chamillionaire story being one of the best of all time.

People try to paint this picture that Jordan is rude and cold hearted just like on the court. Lately, we’ve seen a different side of Jordan. During Kobe Bryants celebration of life, Michael went outside of his comfort zone to open up about his relationship with the baller. He called Kobe a little brother and let the world know how close they were, when almost all of us had no clue at all.

Watching Michael cry talking while about Kobe left no eyes dry in Staples Center or on anyone watching the live broadcast. After everyone heard his speech, we knew there was only one person to induct Kobe Bryant into the Hall Of Fame later this weekend. Ahead of this ceremony, Michael Jordan sat down with Bleacher Report to reveal the last text conversation he had with Kobe

“This tequila is awesome,” Kobe texted, referring to Jordan’s Cincoro Tequila, a bottle of which was sent to Bryant at the launch.

“Thank you, my brother,” Jordan responded.

“Yes, sir. Family good?” Kobe replied.

“All good. Yours?”

“All good.”

Jordan smiled, then decided to have a little fun. “He was really into coaching Gigi,” MJ explains, “so I hit him up about that.”

“Happy holidays,” Jordan texted back, “and hope to catch up soon. Coach Kobe??!”

“I added that little crying/laughing emoji,” Jordan chuckles.

“Ah, back at you, man,” Kobe wrote. “Hey, coach, I’m sitting on the bench right now, and we’re blowing this team out. 45-8.”

These Kobe stories get better every time they get revealed. The saddest part of this weekend is knowing we will never get Kobe Bryant’s Hall Of Fame speech. We all know it would have instantly been in the top 3 of all time without a doubt. Luckily, Michael will be there to hold his little brother down.

Contrary to the popular narrative, sometimes a gun means a good guy.

It’s sick, sad, and supremely scary to think about how many violent crimes take place in America these days. Obviously, mass shootings have become a serious issue over the years and people are fighting tooth-and-nail to get Joe Biden and any other political figure to enact some form of “gun control” on the federal level. However, mass shootings aren’t the only violent crime that this country has a serious problem with, and sometimes a law-abiding citizen with a defensive weapon is the difference between an arrest and an escape for these deranged criminals.

According to KFOR in Savannah, Georgia, a man named Damian Austin is being hailed as a hero after he drew his concealed carry weapon on a scumbag at a local grocery store. Austin is a Black man and a former Marine who said the “hairs on the back of (my) neck stood up” when he heard a woman screaming that a fleeing man, 25-year-old Gregory Hathorne, had just sexually assaulted a woman inside the store’s bathroom.

Austin understood the assignment and immediately went to work. He describes what happened next to the news station as they played security camera footage of his encounter with the deviant attacker.

People use firearms to protect themselves and stop evil people on a daily basis in Amerikkka. Legally armed African-Americans are among that group. If we can’t trust the police to protect us, then all we have is ourselves. Do you want to fight off a rapist, domestic abuser, or armed robber with a broomstick or a boom stick?

The production of “Frozen” by PS 124 helps Asian-American kids break stereotypes and tackle diversity and inclusion – and it’s all captured on film.

Change done came to the WNBA! For the very first time in league history, four Black women will helm the broadcast for the Atlanta Dream as the team has announced LaChina Robinson, Tabitha Turner, Angel Gray, And Autumn Johnson as the first all-Black-woman crew according to TSN.

Some of you are old enough to remember back last year when former Atlanta Dream team owner Kelly Loeffler was run out of town after embarrassing herself by licking Donald Trump’s bu-…boots in hopes of winning the bid for a Senate seat. Well, former Dream baller Renee Montgomery was part of the ownership group who came together to buy the team from Loeffler. With her out of the way, it appears that the franchise is flourishing. We love that for them!

Suffice to say, all of the ladies are excited about this new opportunity as they took to Instagram to celebrate the ground-breaking moment!

This is so beautiful to see!

The aforementioned new team owner released a statement about how proud she is of these women, especially at this moment:

“This broadcast team of all women is another positive step in our goal of providing empowerment to the diverse Atlanta community. It’s exciting knowing that moments such as these will create momentum, and we plan to keep that same level of energy moving forward,” said Montgomery in a statement.

Let’s normalize THIS type of broadcast strategy going forward!

The return of the Firefly Festival comes more than a year after last year’s event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, much like almost every other festival in 2020.

Now that vaccinations are readily available for all adults, music festivals are starting to announce their lineups after more than a year of no live music.
