Kamala Harris Holds Rally In Houston, Texas Highlighting Support For Reproductive Rights

Source: Jordan Vonderhaar / Getty

Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland popped up in their Houston hometown to support Vice President Kamala Harris as the right choice, while Amber Rose continued her conservative crash-out by claiming Cowboy Carter copied her speech.

Our queens of the H-town took to the stage together, after being introduced by none other than Mama Tina Knowles, to make bold statements in support of Harris.

The “Texas Hold Em’” singer clarified that she was urging the American people to cast their vote for the sitting Vice President not as an international superstar but as a concerned citizen with much at stake.

“I’m here as a mother who cares deeply about the world, my children and all of our children,” she said. “A world where we have the freedom to control our bodies.”

Our girl Kelly came to shut things down as well.

Though the internet had jokes about her choice of attire, the other child of destiny delivered a rousing reminder to the American people about the control we have over our futures.

“A moment where we grab the pen back from those trying to write an American story of division and hatred. We are grabbing back the pen from those who are trying to write an American story that would deny the right for women to make our own decisions about our bodies,” she said. “Today that means grabbing that pen and casting my vote for Kamala Harris.”

Mama Tina took to the stage prior to her daughter’s passionate speeches to also lend her support to Harris in front of the more than 30,000 people who gathered for the momentous occasion.

“I’ve been blessed in my life to have many careers, many Black jobs, but I have said before that the best job I’ve ever had is being a mother,” she said. “I’ve had the privilege and honor to raise and help raise four beautiful daughters. And I also take immense pride in being ‘Mama Tina’ to so many young women and men.”

The Harris-Walz campaign is making its final push ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5. Their Houston rally focused on reproductive freedom and featured a lineup of predominately woman speakers. Texas is also a largely red state. We’ll have to wait for the final vote count to see if Bey, Kelly, and Mama Tina were successful in helping to move voters “to the left.”

Not everyone was thrilled with Beyoncé appearance and endorsement, however. Resident crash-out dummy and Trump supporter, Amber Rose, took to the comments of The Shade Room to accuse Queen Bey of stealing her words.

“She wanna be me so bad,” she said. “Literally took my whole speech.”

Blade - 2019 Comic-Con International - Marvel Studios Panel

After experiencing delay after delay, Marvel’s Blade reboot is once again in limbo after being removed from the 2025 release slate.

During 2019’s San Diego Comic-Con, we witnessed Kevin Fiege announce Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali was cast for the MCU Blade reboot. Following that, if we told you then Wesley Snipes would co-star in an MCU film as Blade before Ali’s movie even received a script, you wouldn’t believe us.

It did happen however as Snipes appeared in Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool & Wolverine playing the iconic vampire for what we assumed would be the final time before Mahersahla Ali took up the mantle.

Snipes even said in the movie;

“There’s only ever gonna be one Blade.”

So far, Ali’s version of the character has been hinted at via an MCU post-credit scene for ETERNALS, and now it looks like that’s all we’ll be getting for the foreseeable future.

According to Variety, Marvel has pulled Blade from its 2025 release schedule. The film was slated to release on November 7, 2025, but has been skipped in favor of Predator: Badlands. Earlier this year, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed going forward Marvel would release a “maximum of three movies” a year which sounds like wishful thinking.

In the end, fans are frustrated which is warranted because reviving this film shouldn’t be this hard.

Big Meech

Co-founder of the Black Mafia Family, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, was released from prison to community confinement.

The story of Demetrius and Terry Flenory became the subject of 50 Cent’s hit show BMF centered around Black Mafia Family co-founders Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.

BMF reportedly had hundreds of members nationwide and made over $250 million between 1989 and 2005.

Federal agents came knocking in 2005 and Southwest T and Big Meech were arrested and ultimately sentenced to 30 years for drug trafficking and money laundering. Southwest T was released from prison in early 2020 due to COVID-19 precautions to protect inmates with health issues, and now his brother is out as well.

Fox 5 Atlanta Reports, Big Meech was released from prison to community confinement.

According to the AP, Big Meech has been released from prison system. Demetrius will serve the remainder of his sentence in a Miami residential reentry program.

“He used his time in prison to focus on personal growth and transformation, and now he has the opportunity to begin a new chapter,” said Brittany K. Barnett co-founder of the Buried Alive Project who represented Meech. “He’s out, but millions more remain trapped inside — there’s still so much work to be done. We need to push for real change, for a justice system that recognizes the dignity and potential for redemption in every individual.”

Meech’s official release date is January 2026 but the transfer is enough for the culture to declare he’s home. The transfer became possible earlier this year after a judge shortened Demetrius’ sentence by three years.

Before anyone plans a celebration they keep in mind Meech will likely stay in community confinement until 2026. Hopefully, he can continue working on “BMF” alongside 50 Cent from the halfway house and begin new projects.

Bron, Savannah, Bronny - The 2023 ESPY Awards - Show

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty

Netflix’s reality show Starting 5 features LeBron and Savannah James discussing Bronny’s cardiac arrest for the first time and his road to recovery.

After the success of Quarterback, and Receiver, Netflix has finally tackled the NBA with Starting 5. On the show, we watch emotional moments like Jimmy Butler breaking the third wall mid-season after the passing of his father.

Jimmy goes from being focused on securing an NBA championship to flat-out revealing it just doesn’t matter because the grief overrode everything.

Another surprising moment came in the form of LeBron and Savannah James discussing Bronny’s cardiac arrest for the first time.

Last July, Bronny suffered cardiac arrest during workouts at USC and was rushed to Cedars Sani Hospital. A congenital heart defect likely caused Bronny James’ medical episode and he quickly had surgery to fix the issue before hitting the court for USC.

During the Netflix series, LeBron and Savannah James emotionally revealed that they “almost lost Bronny.”

“I think at the end of the day, it was just about us supporting each other and just being super grateful for the outcome,” a tearful Savannah said.”Shout out to the man above,” LeBron said.”And to the whole coaching staff, training staff, members of that program,” LeBron continued, calling USC staffer Erin a “lifesaver, literally.”

We also learn LeBron cautioned Bronny about returning to basketball play despite Bronny being cleared for his medical return to sports on November 30, only four months later.

“It’s crazy with kids, when they love something and they want something, that’s all that matters to them,” LeBron explained in the show. “As a parent, you’re like, ‘You had a cardiac arrest, like…,’ and in his mind he’s like, ‘Can I or can I not play ball again and if the answer is yes, when can I play ball again? Like, I love that.’” The leading NBA scorer continued. “Bronny’s the first person in the family to go to college. Nobody in my family ever went to college and to see my son playing the game he loves at the collegiate level but to see where he is as a young man is, like, ‘Wow, it could have been so much more worse for our family.’”

We all know how the story ends, Bronny is now a Los Angeles Laker alongside his pops becoming the first father-son duo in the NBA. For this to happen, Bronny had to put in the work off the court and away from cameras. Luckily it paid off.

You can watch Bron and Savannah discussing the traumatic event below.

As the penultimate episode of Power Book II: Ghost airs, Gianni Paolo is reflecting on Brayden Weston’s journey from spoiled rich kid to Tariq’s gun-toting, crime-committing confidant.

Dedicated Power watchers know that Brayden completely left behind his prep school roots to be Tariq St. Patrick’s partner in crime (literally), who helps him navigate the underworld where crooked cops like Carter and drug bosses like Noma reside.

Power Book II: Ghost

Source: Starz / Power Book II: Ghost

According to Gianni Paolo, digging into Brayden’s complexities has made the role especially fulfilling.

“The cool thing about Brayden was he was funny, but he also had to navigate tough situations—his dad, and obviously killing his uncle,” he told BOSSIP’s Managing Editor Dani Canada. “So, as an actor, it was so fun to find those funny moments even in the darkest episodes.”

One of his favorite parts about playing Brayden was getting to dive into intense, dramatic scenes.

“I loved going to the trap house with Cane and throwing my uncle off a roof. That was so wild,” said Gianni. “I always joke that with the way I look, I should’ve been on Riverdale, but instead, I get to sell drugs on 50 Cent’s show. It’s just a blessing. Every episode, every scene, every moment—even when Brayden’s on the back burner, I was always happy and grateful to be a part of this universe.”

As Brayden becomes darker, comparisons to the legendary Tommy Egan from the original Power series have surfaced among fans, most recently when Brayden killed his girlfriend’s dealer for selling her bad drugs.

Power Book II: Ghost EPISODE 403: Birthright

Source: Starz / Power Book II: Ghost

Gianni finds the parallels between Brayden and Tommy flattering but acknowledges that there’s a stark contrast between them.

“It’s definitely a compliment,” he acknowledged. “What Joseph [Sikora] did with Tommy was amazing—he has his own show now. Brayden is like Tariq’s Tommy for sure, his right hand.”

“Brayden grew up with money and a connected family, whereas Tommy grew up in the hood with Ghost. It’s a different upbringing, but I like the comparisons. I think it’s cool, and this season Brayden gets even darker, so those comparisons will keep coming.”

One of Brayden’s defining moments this season was that aforementioned moment when he killed a drug dealer for his girlfriend, Elle, only to get dumped shortly after. “Come on, girl, this is for you!” Gianni laughed about Brayden’s actions before acknowledging that there will be consequences as Brayden continues to become “more reckless.”

“Brayden’s doing crazy stuff, and he kind of needs to tone it down because it’s getting in the way of the business. You’ll see some fallout from that, but the big focus is on how we deal with Carter and how everything wraps up,” he told BOSSIP.

“Power Book II: Ghost” Season 4 New York City Premiere

Source: Jamie McCarthy / Getty

“It shows a different side of Brayden, a more reckless, careless side—kind of like Tommy when Holly died, and he didn’t care if he lived or died. That’s when someone becomes the most dangerous.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Gianni dished to BOSSIP about one of the highlights of the show; the copious nicknames that Cane Tejada (Woody McClain) has given Brayden.

“I forgot he called me Charlie Sheen a couple episodes ago—that was so funny,” Gianni recalled to BOSSIP. “I’m actually friends with Machine Gun Kelly, so when Cane called me that on the show, I sent the clip to him, and he was dying laughing. He also called me Taylor Swift and some other wild names. It’s funny because Tommy called me Bieber in the original Power, but that scene got cut. And I think that was the start of it all.

Power Book II: Ghost Episodic Photos for 303

Source: Courtesy / Starz

He continued,

“Even though it never wound up making it [to TV], the writers knew what they wanted to do. And I feel like in Power, we bring up a lot of current things. And it’s not always written. Obviously, when the YSL trial was going on and still is going on, we had a scene that originally said Gambino Crime Family. So I was like, ‘No, we got to change this to YSL RICO,’ and that went crazy on social media. So I think the writers do a good job, but also us as the actors are like, let’s keep it current because every time we do something like that, it goes crazy on Twitter. And that’s just good for the show.”

Diddy’s legal troubles are continuing to add up, even while he remains behind bars. The disgraced music mogul is facing another lawsuit, this by time by an accuser who says she was “bound and restrained” before being sexually assaulted and filmed by Diddy and his bodyguard.

Diddy and his former bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, are facing new sexual assault allegations as detailed in a lawsuit filed on Tuesday, September 24, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The lawsuit, obtained by PEOPLE, was brought forth by a woman named Thalia Graves, who claims that Combs and Sherman brutally raped her vaginally and anally in the summer of 2001 at the Bad Boy Records studio in New York City before selling the footage as pornography.

According to the complaint, Graves alleges that the assault was recorded on video, and she has since struggled with suicidal thoughts. Graves, who was 25 at the time and dating one of Combs’ employees, says that Combs exploited her relationship to lure her into a private meeting with him and Sherman. Once isolated, the two allegedly gave her a drink that was “likely laced with a drug,” causing her to lose consciousness, reports PEOPLE. When she awoke, she found herself bound and restrained and alleges that she was raped both anally and vaginally by Combs and Sherman.

Graves claims she did not report the incident due to fear of retaliation and says she’s suffered for years from depression and anxiety, and states her trauma intensified in November 2023 when she discovered that the assault had been recorded and allegedly shared by Combs and Sherman over the years, possibly sold as pornography. The lawsuit further alleges that during the assault, when Graves regained consciousness and screamed, Sherman violently slammed her face down onto what appeared to be a pool table, reports PEOPLE.

TMZ reports that Graves is going after Diddy, Sherman and Bad Boy for damages and she’s being repped by Gloria Allred, who held a press conference with Graves. During the press conference, an emotional Graves described the alleged incident as a “pain that enters the very core of who you are.”

“Some of the hardest parts of this pain are the shame and the guilt that I have experienced,” said the accuser.

As previously reported, Diddy is already being held at the federal Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being arrested on September 16, where he was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Despite pleading not guilty, he has been denied bail twice.

Khadijah Haqq and Bobby McCray called it quits after 13 years of marriage, and the divorce drama is already getting messy over money as they each request spousal support. Haqq cited irreconcilable differences and the cause for the marriage’s dissolution. The couple’s differences are becoming apparent as they cannot agree on anything when it comes to ending their relationship.

Source: Gilbert Flores/Damian Strohmeyer / Getty

According to In Touch, Haqq filed for divorce on August 16. As a result, McCray filed a petition for spousal support on August 16. However, the mother of four is unwilling to cough up the cash. In fact, she requested that McCray’s petition be denied and then requested her soon-to-be ex pay her monthly support.

During the marriage, Haqq and McCray welcomed three children: Christian (13), Celine (10), and Kapri (3). Before he met Khloe Kardashian’s bestie, McCray had a son, Bobby III, making Haqq a stepmother. As for their three children together, Haqq is requesting primary physical and legal custody. In court paperwork, McCray asks for joint custody of their kids.

The 41-year-old mother is asking McCray to cover legal fees for the divorce proceedings, while McCray is asking Haqq to do the same. Additionally, Haqq listed their date of separation as July 17, 2023, the couple’s 13th wedding anniversary. McCray disagrees, stating the two separated on July 7, 2023.

As expected, the former couple have accrued property together. Haqq’s lawyer stated they are still determining how to split their assets.

“[Khadijah] is presently unaware of the full nature and extent of the community and quasi-community property assets and obligations. [Khadijah] seeks leave of Court to amend this Response when the same has been ascertained,” they said.

Khadijah Haqq Announced Divorce Via Social Media

Though the couple remained relatively quiet about their relationship, a year ago, Haqq decided it was best to announce her divorce from Bobby McCray, a former NFL player who notably played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints.

“Now more than ever I have been relying on prayer. Family is so important to me. Unfortunately, life has brought me to tremendous transition. After 13 years of marriage, 16 years together and 4 incredible children, I have come to the intensely difficult conclusion that while Bobby & I have a great deal of love for one other, it’s best we move forward separately.” Haqq announced. “I did not come to this decision lightly. For the most part, I have kept my relationship private for the benefit of our family. I share this not because I believe it’s newsworthy – But so that we go about our lives with honesty and to begin the journey of co-parenting. I’m so grateful for my incredible support system,” she wrote.

Khloe Kardashian has not publicly commented about her bestie’s divorce but is seemingly a part of her support group. According to In Touch, the two met just before the millennium in 1999 and have been tight ever since. Another part of their trio and Haqq’s twin sister Malika has also been supportive of her sister.

You may recall that Malika welcomed a baby boy with O.T. Genasis in 2020. The two called it quits before their son arrived but have reported a healthy and happy co-parenting relationship.

Diddy’s attorney is egregiously grasping at straws to defend his client even alleging that the mogul was hit with a cellphone by Cassie during their “mutually toxic” relationship before Diddy violently attacked her as seen in an unearthed 2016 video.

On Tuesday, the disgraced indictee’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, defended him in court amid Diddy facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. While arguing for Diddy’s bail, which was denied, his attorney alleged that the mogul is in “treatment and therapy” for undisclosed issues.

Source: Shareif Ziyadat / Getty

Journalist Matthew Russell Lee of Inner City Press who was in the courtroom shared via X, formerly known as Twitter, that Agnifilo told the judge:

“This case, we think, is eminently manageable. Pre-Trial Services says he has a criminal record. But he was acquitted. He is ready to do that again. What is Mr. Combs doing in NY? He’s here for treatment and therapy.”

According to Russell, Agnifilo went on to speak about the shocking hotel video that was released showing Diddy kicking, hitting, and dragging Cassie down a hotel hallway in 2016.

According to the attorney, that was not the full story and Diddy was struck by a cellphone by Cassie, who was cheating with her now-husband, personal trainer Alex Fine, (honestly, good for her). He added that Diddy was seen in the towel in the video because Casise allegedly “took his clothes,” as though that’s an excuse for what transpired.

“Somehow this hotel footage found its way out. I wonder how that happened,” Journalist Matthew Russell says Agnifilo said.” We didn’t have it. The government had it. It got out, on a day Donald Trump didn’t have any court proceedings. Mr. Combs saw it and issued an apology. He wanted to do it.”

He continued,

“Two people were in a hotel room. An issue that Mr. Combs had more than one girlfriend, okay? Victim-1 was looking through his phone and saw that – then hit him in the head with a cellphone, and took his clothing. So he comes out in a towel.”

“These two people were in love. Victim-1 ended up marrying the trainer that Mr. Combs got for her. They had been cheating on each other for years. But now she had two kids with the trainer. Years later, she realized she had a good thing with Mr. Combs.”

A good thing?! We must have watched a different video than what attorney Agnifilo saw.

Diddy is maintaining his innocence and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Nightcap Summer Sessions With Shannon Sharpe & Chad

After initially alleging that he was hacked, Shannon Sharpe admitted taking his mystery Michelle to Club Shay Shay after dark during an “accidentally” streamed Instagram Live.

Just mere hours after a cyber attack was alleged on his phone, Shannon Sharpe sang a different tune Wednesday during an emergency episode of his Nightcap podcast.

During the YouTube stream, the NFL Hall of Famer admitted to accidentally streaming a sexual encounter and said he was “extremely embarrassed” about what went down.

According to Shannon, he was eager to get down to business during the smithereens session so he threw his phone down and went to work; that is until he received several FaceTime calls telling him what happened.

According to the NY Post, Sharpe’s marketing partner Jamie Fritz was the person to get him on the phone and break the bad news causing his heart to “sink.”

Not only that, but Sharpe’s employee Jordan Barber sprang into action to end the Live and posted the “hacked” statement before Unc instructed him to delete it so he could clear the air.

“Obviously I am embarrassed for a number of reasons, there are a number of people who count on Shannon to be professional at all times and I always try to be professional at all times, even when I’m behind closed doors,” said Shannon on Nightcap. “I’m very disappointed in myself, not for the act. I think there are millions and billions of people of consenting age that engage in activities, but for the audio to be heard, I’m very disappointed in myself. I let a lot of people down.”

The main inquiry on everyone’s mind was how ESPN reacted to the crisis and that’s seemingly up in the air. Shannon divulged however that he contacted the company and kept it all the way real.

“My phone wasn’t hacked. It wasn’t a prank, it was me being a healthy, active male,” he shared. “Ya’ll thought I was bulljiving, Unc get it in.”

Later in the emergency episode, Shannon revealed Katt Williams reached out to him and jokingly said he beat allegations about his sexuality. “You ain’t gay today!” said the comedian.

Ochocinco also unsuccessfully tried to get Unc to reveal the identity of his mystery Michelle, but Shannon refused and urged the media to stop trying to find the woman.

“Man, will y’all stop reaching out,” said Shannon about people trying to put two and two together. “Y’all not gonna figure it out! If you have definitive proof and you wanna reach out and they have a conversation with you, okay, that’s fine. Don’t invovlve people; y’all ain’t call me. Call me!” he added.

“When you involvle people that ain’t have nothing to do with it, that’s what I have a problem with.”

Ochocinco also joked about his co-host’s performance and alleged that his cardio needs work.

“Hit the treadmill first!” said Ocho.

Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders even reached out to Shannon to speak some life into him during this turbulent situation and the podcast host said it brought him to tears.

After the serious talk about Shannon appreciating the words from Prime, the Nightcap episode continued and Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco continued to make light of the situation.

Kanye West recently held a live listening session for fans and according to Tyler The Creator, the rapper should’ve stopped holding back and put on a show.

One of the last times we saw Kanye West put on a true concert performance was for his “Free Larry Hoover” concert with special guest Drake. Since then he has adhered to the live listening session format he debuted for The Life Of Pablo alongside his Yeezy Season fashion show.

One of Kanye’s listening sessions recently went international with Ye and Ty Dolla $ign taking over Seoul, South Korea. Usually, Kanye doesn’t perform but at the two-hour mark, he decided to run through his classics with the fans.

As some would say the “old Kanye” was spotted in glimmers during the medley of hits.

This prompted Tyler The Creator to hop in the Instagram comments to tease Ye over his performance, or lack thereof.

“n*gga U was right there just say the words!!!!!!!!” Tyler jokingly commented.

In Kanye’s defense, he performed more during this latest listening session than we’ve seen in years.

Hopefully, Ye will get back to performing at some point while maintaining his mental health.
