Once again, the case of Breonna Taylor has proven that the American legal system is set up in a way that protects police officers far more than it holds them accountable.

People Gather For The Second Anniversary Of Breonna Taylors Death In Louisville

Source: The Washington Post / Getty

According to WDRB,  U.S. District Court Judge Charles Simpson ruled Thursday that the second Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired a shot at the cops he thought were intruders trying to break into their apartment, he became responsible for Taylor’s death, not the cops, who fired a garage of bullets in response, killing Taylor and endangering the lives of several other residents in the apartment building.

Even though Walker was cleared of all criminal wrongdoing in firing a single shot at police, and even though the warrant the police officers were executing was obtained through illegal means, Simpson ruled that Walker essentially killed Taylor because the gunshot he fired was the “legal cause of her death.”

From WDRB:

Former Louisville Metro Police Det. Joshua Jaynes and Sgt. Kyle Meany were accused of providing and lying about false information in a search warrant used by police to burst into Taylor’s house, resulting in her death.

But Simpson ruled that the decision by Kenneth Walker, Taylor’s boyfriend, to shoot at police when they burst in the home on March 13, 2020, was the direct cause of her death, not the search warrant.

He dismissed two felony charges against both men that carried a maximum penalty of life in prison. The charges involved using a dangerous weapon to deprive Taylor of her Fourth Amendment right to be free from unreasonable search.

In his ruling, Simpson said the “tragedy of Breonna Taylor’s death and the gravity of her family’s grief are not lost on the court.”

However, in this case, “the alleged facts do not fit the felony offenses as written.”

It would be nice if, at the very least, these judges and other legal officials would stop playing around in Black people’s faces with their standard platitudes about what a “tragedy” Taylor’s killing was, especially if they’re just going to follow up on those fake condolences by saying different variations of: “Oh well, there’s nothing we can do about it.”

Prosecutors had argued that Jaynes and Meany, who were not present during the raid, “drafted and approved what they knew was a false affidavit to support a search warrant for Ms. Taylor’s home,” and that the “false affidavit set in motion events that led to Ms. Taylor’s death when other LMPD officers executed that warrant.”

The two officers are still facing charges. Jaynes is looking at two felony counts alleging a cover-up after Taylor’s death for which he could be sentenced to a total of 40 years. Meany is facing one charge of lying to the FBI, which carries a maximum of five years in prison. But considering the way the legal system in Louisville keeps going out of its way to blame any and everyone for Taylor’s death except the cops who actually caused it, both directly and indirectly, there’s just no reason to hold one’s breath in hopes that any officer will be convicted of anything for which they will serve significant time.

“The family is obviously devastated,” Taylor’s family said in a statement Thursday to WDRB. “Right now, we are just processing as prosecutors flush out next steps. We’ve been told they plan to appeal, and so we will wait for the appeals process to play out.”

Earlier this month, Rob Peace star Jay Will chopped it up with us about the newly released film.

Rob Peace

Source: Courtesy / Republic Pictures

Rob Peace tells the story of an inner-city Newark kid who attends Yale but ultimately returns to his community with the hope of improving life for his friends and family. Directed, adapted by, and starring Academy Award® nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 YEARS A SLAVE), ROB PEACE follows the true story of a brilliant young man torn between his father’s shadowed past and his own promising future. Raised by his devoted mother (Academy Award® nominee Mary J. Blige), Rob risks everything he has worked for to free his imprisoned father (Ejiofor). Also starring Camila Cabello and based on the New York Times bestseller by Jeff Hobbs.

Check out the trailer below:

Jay Will told us that the first thing he did to prepare for his role was to make sure Rob’s family was fully onboard with the project.

“In our community we always got to ask for the respect and ask for the blessing,” Will told BOSSIP. “We knew the situation of Rob’s life. Just like I would ask a young lady’s mom or her father if I could have their blessing, I went to speak with Rob’s mother and I asked if I can have the blessing of playing him because I felt like that was just a part of the sequence of events for me to get to that place within myself to channel this energy.”

“I went to his home and spoke to his uncles, his mom, his cousins, all the folks, and I got their position on the film happening,” Will added. “Just trying to find the same page and once we got there, I finally asked you know? ‘I would love the opportunity… I’m not coming to you on no type of, you know, XYZ…’ Rhis is person to person, ‘Because I know I got what it takes…’ I knew it as soon as I read the script, I knew it. I just had to go do the sequence of events, so once I got the blessing I was off to the races. The preparation, last aspect from there, after it got past the technical — learning all the words and relearning how to swim, all that again, and float in the water, after all the technical stuff, it was seeking into my own personal experience and going from there.”

Will also spoke about working with Chiwetel Ejiofor, both as a director and as an actor and scene partner.

“As an actor, his process is interesting because he would be so seamless,” Will recalled. “He would go right into acting real quick, the voice would change, the demeanor would change and then he’ll be like, ’Alright now we’re going to go…’ And you know he’s going to direct me now. It’s like, ‘Whoa what just happened?’ It was inspiring just to see the expansion and release from him, back and forth, going into the directorial seat. He’s very inspired, very creative.”

“When I saw the work he did with ‘12 years…’ as Solomon Northup… I remember sitting in the theater after it was all black, credits rolling. Sitting there, just tears rolling up,” Will continued. “I wanna do that. I want to do that to somebody — how I feel. It was an honor, to be faced with the dream into reality, just to work.”

Much of the film hinges around Peace’s complex relationship with his father, both while he was free and incarcerated.

“It resonated for me so much because we’re so used to the narrative of the father not being there,” Will told BOSSIP. “In that narrative we’re used to the resentment of the children. Here we see a particular situation where the father wasn’t there because of injustices. He wasn’t there yet Rob still wanted his father to be a part of his life. He not only wanted, but he did things to promote that reality and into existence. Going to Yale and getting money how he did, helping his father with his cancer treatments, helping his father get a lawyer. This is a unique situation because it has a lot to do with sacrifice. The sacrifice of self, selflessness and stepping into just the eternal purpose for the whole existence for the human race.”

We also asked Jay Will about working with Mary J. Blige, who plays his mother.

“I knew from the jump [she was in the film], but it was different when I saw them boots strutting in the office,” Will recalled. “I was like, ‘Wow this is like black royalty here.’ So when I got on set with her to see her just completely switch up and get into the character — we all go through our dilemmas of tapping into it. To see her work through that, the scenes that I had going back and forth, trying to deepen that thing she inspired me. Shout out to Mary. I hope I get to work with her again. I’m thankful for her. She’s a great person.”

Rob Peace is in theaters now.

The Black Detroit judge who must have been working on his advanced law degree in House Slave-ology when he had a 15-year-old black girl handcuffed for essentially falling asleep in class is now facing a lawsuit filed by the teen’s mother.

According to The Detroit News, Latoreya Till, the mother of 15-year-old Eva Goodman,  filed the lawsuit in federal court Wednesday naming Judge Kenneth King, the security guards in the courtroom, and two court officers as defendants. The suit accuses King of malicious prosecution, unlawful arrest and prosecution, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false arrest, and invasion of privacy.

Till’s lawyer, Fieger Law Firm attorney James Harrington, said the suit isn’t asking for a specific amount of damages but is necessary to hold King accountable nonetheless.

“This is a very troubling case. We had a member of our bench berate, humiliate and essentially incarcerate a 15-year-old kid,” Harrington said at a press conference Wednesday announcing the lawsuit. “This was very, very real to her, very, very scary to her and somebody in a position of trust, somebody that was in a position of authority and power is threatening her about jail time, is threatening her by literally placing her in handcuffs.”

Seriously, it’s not like Eva was in the Sunken Place judge’s courtroom because she had committed a criminal offense. She was there on a field trip. As we previously reported, Eva didn’t have a permanent home, which may have had much to do with why she was exhausted while sitting in King’s courtroom. But even if that wasn’t the case, there’s really no justifying putting a Black child who has no experience going through the criminal justice system — because she’s not a criminal — in handcuffs and a jail uniform in front of her peers just to teach her some nonsensical lesson on how things work in the real world as if, in that world, a person could be legally arrested and jailed for failing to stay awake while at school or at a school activity.

“I wanted this to look and feel very real to her, even though there’s probably no real chance of me putting her in jail,” said King, who was temporarily suspended and fired from a teaching job at Wayne State University behind the incident.

Todd Perkins, King’s attorney, echoed his client’s nonsense about teaching kids valuable lessons, saying: “He only wants the best outcome for this young person and all young people. She matters. They matter. They are our future.”

Oh, word? That’s what he wants? The “best outcome?”

Before Eva sat in King’s courtroom during a field trip, she hadn’t experienced the humiliation of being berated by a judge in front of her classmates. She hadn’t experienced being put on trial. she hadn’t experienced being put in a jail jumpsuit or being handcuffed and detained by police officers. Eva hadn’t experienced any of the things teenagers who haven’t committed crimes don’t typically experience—unless they are Black teens who cops and officers of the court see no issue in arbitrarily criminalizing

From the Detroit News:

He berated her, ordered her to be jailed, handcuffed her and demanded she take off her clothes and dress instead in the uniforms prisoners wear in Wayne County, according to the lawsuit. He conducted a “fake trial” with her classmates and possibly his internet followers as her jurors and his audience, according to the lawsuit.

“Then, making a mockery of the justice guaranteed by the due process clauses of the United States Constitution, while panning the camera to focus upon his juvenile audience for the benefit of his internet fans, Defendant JUDGE KING asked (the teen’s) peers to serve as a fake jury of public opinion and decide whether to let her go home to her mother and grandmother, or to serve time in the juvenile jail that he had but moments before denigrated as unfit.”

During the press conference, Till also weighed in on what the “outcome” of King’s actions was for her daughter.

“She’s asking me, why did the judge do me like this, out of all the kids?” Till said. “She’s embarrassed and humiliated. And I can’t blame her. … I just want Judge King to take accountability for the way he humiliated my daughter.”

Till noted that Eva and her other daughter don’t have a permanent home and are going back and forth between her mother’s and her aunt’s homes for reasons she didn’t mention. Till’s lawsuit states that all the judge did with his perverse “Scared Straight” lesson was force her daughter  to “relive a traumatic event, causing her to shut down.”

And there’s your “outcome,” judge.

DNC - Democratic National Convention

Source: The Washington Post / Getty

The Democratic National Convention has come to a close and from the moment that doors opened on Monday, the event embodied the popular dot-com colloquialism “keep that same energy”. For four consecutive nights, euphoric and uproarious Democrats filled the seats of the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, and had the biggest political soiree that we’ve ever seen. The moving speeches, the performances, the special surprise guests, and the outpouring of love from the audience were all building up to the final night when Vice President Kamala Harris would become the first Black-South Asian woman to accept the Democratic nomination for President of the United States of America.

That moment lived up to the lofty expectation set in the previous 72 hours…but no, Beyoncé was not there.

However, before VP Harris cracked the mic and spit her bars, several opening acts still commanded attention, inspired jubilant applause, and had folks standing up screaming, “I KNOW THAT’S RIGHT!” One of those moments was when VP Harris’ younger sister Maya Harris got on stage and gave a deeply personal speech about how their mother raised them.

In a more light-hearted moment, Kerry Washington and her often-shipped on-screen Scandal lover Tony Goldwyn (Olivia Pope and Fitz) appeared together on stage to thunderous reaction from a crowd who had been waiting for their reunion for a very long time.

In a move to reinforce the Democrats’ dedication to social justice and civil rights, in addition to drawing a stark contrast to Donald Trump who wanted them killed, Rev. Al Sharpton welcomed “The Exonerated Five” of Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise to the stage to proudly proclaim “We’re not going back!”

When it was all said and done, it was time for the “MVP”, Madam Vice President, to take the stage and present herself as the next President of the United States. The speech she gave proved that she was prepared to accept the role of a joyful warrior POTUS who will fight to ensure that all Americans can live freely and affordably.

There are only 74 more days until we vote in one of the most consequential elections ever on November 5. Are you ready? Are your friends and family ready? If they aren’t, you need to make them ready.

Following a day of anticipation for a “special guest” at the DNC, fans ended up disappointed in the convention’s actual guest list.

It all started when different “sources” across social media started rumors of a special, surprise guest set to take the stage at the final night of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday, Aug. 23. That rumor quickly developed into rumblings of a live Beyoncé performance, with multiple people posting clips of a soundcheck featuring her music.

Then, TMZ reported that Queen Bey was, in fact, performing, saying that multiple sources confirmed she “will be the big surprise performer as VP Harris officially accepts the Democratic party’s nomination to run for president.”

“As you’d expect, Beyoncé’s appearance is a huge deal, not only for Harris and the Party but in Chicago as well. We’re told Chicago PD is on high alert as it’s involved in security for Beyoncé at the United Center arena,” the report continued.

Not only that, the White House Political Director also tweeted a bee emoji, further driving suspicions of an appearance…even though she did tease, “Sorry guys my 6 year old took my phone” immediately after.

Beyoncé fans immediately started freaking out and turned their TVs to the DNC, waiting for the moment Cowboy Carter took the stage for her first televised performance in years. But, shortly before the convention began, another, conflicting report insisted Bey would not be in the building.

A representative for Beyoncé told the Hollywood Reporter on Thursday night that the singer would not attend the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

“Beyoncé was never scheduled to be there,” Bey’s rep Yvette Noele Schure revealed to the outlet. “The report of a performance is untrue.”

She then followed up on Instagram with a post showing her watching the DNC at home.

“Do not report rumors. FOCUS,” wrote Schure.

Still, fans waited to see which report was true, still remembering all of the DNC attendees in Chicago who posted about soundchecks and other Easter eggs. But, ultimately, there was no Beyoncé.

At 9:30 PM PT, 5 hours after their original report, TMZ admitted that their reports were inaccurate, writing: “To quote the great Beyoncé: We gotta lay our cards down, down, down … we got this one wrong.”

So, was Beyoncé ever supposed to perform at the DNC? And, if not, who was the special guest after all?

Kerry Washington, who hosted the final night of the Democratic National Convention, brought the purely precious girls onstage for a lighthearted moment sprinkled with truth.

“Confusion is understandable,” said Washington before bringing out Amara and Leela Ajagu, the daughters of Kamala’s niece Maya Harris, and the granddaughters of Kamala Harris’ sister, Maya Harris. “Disrespect is not. So tonight, we are going to help everyone get it right.”

Other Members Of Harris’ Family Sang Her Praises At The DNC

Following the brief pronunciation lesson, Amara and Leela’s mom, Meena Harris, hit the stage alongside Kamala’s stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, and Kamala’s goddaughter, Helena Hudlin.

The trio celebrated Kamala as an “extraordinary woman” who is ready to guide the nation.

“I grew up in Oakland California in a house full of extraordinary women,” said Meena. “My mom, my grandma and my auntie who showed me the meaning of service, helping her sister; a 17-year-old single mom, fighting for justice for the American people and still cooking Sunday family dinner.”

She continued,

“She guided me, now she’s guiding my own children and I know she’ll guide our country forward.”

Then it was Ella Emhoff’s turn and she noted that Kamala came into her life when she was 14; “a famously very easy time for a teenager.”

“Like a lot of young people, I didn’t always understand what I was feeling, but no matter what, Kamala was there for me. She was patient, caring and always took me seriously. She’s never stopped listening to me and she’s not going to stop listening to all of us.”

As for Helena, she praised her godmother for always giving her sound advice.

“Kamala Harris is my Godmother,” said Helena. “To me, her advice means everything, whether it’s pursuing my passions, making an impact or finding hope when the world doesn’t feel so hopeful, she taught me that making a difference means giving your whole heart and taking action.”

Kevin Gates - 2024 BET Awards - Arrivals

Kevin Gates – Source: Christopher Polk / Getty

Kevin Gates avoided becoming a victim of a YouTube prank by slapping the prankster and issuing him a stern warning.

One of the fastest-growing spaces in entertainment media and pop culture is live streaming. During the pandemic streamers dominated by allowing people to watch their gaming, while others chose to stream in real time.

One such person is YouTuber Wayon who’s known for his live pranks that usually go off without a hitch.

According to Complex, Wayon recently tried to go viral inside Los Angeles’ Westfield Topanga Mall by livestreaming himself bothering security guards and employees. That apparently didn’t move the needle, so when the YouTuber spotted rapper Kevin Gates he saw a golden opportunity, but things quickly went left.

“You look like Kevin Gates. That is Kevin Gates!” Wayon said to Gates.

“Look, stop playing with me, bro. Get the f**** out the door,” an irraited Gates shot back while Wayon asked him to recite his famous viral quote.

Clearly not interested in the question, Kevin Gates slapped the back of the YouTube troll’s head.

“Ahhh, Kevin Gates! What the f**k, Kevin Gates? Come on, man. Ow, that hurt. What the heck, Kevin? I didn’t appreciate that, Kevin. That hurt a lot.”

The downside of the content era is no matter what happens, creators will proudly flaunt it for likes and shares and Wayon wasted no time uploading the clip to the internet for clout.

Once the video went viral it caught the attention of Gates who issued a stern warning to the young YouTuber on Instagram.

“Don’t you never do no s*** like that boy. I ain’t raised you to be like that,” Gates said to the silly prankster in the video. You just walk over, ‘How you doing I’m Kevin. I didn’t want anything, I just was coming to say hello.’ Simple and gangster, that’s it that’s all.”

Playing prankster games like this in Los Angeles is dangerous and we hope Wayon takes Kevin Gates’ advice.

One thing about Beyoncé, she’s gonna make it known who she does and doesn’t want using her music!

Beyoncé and Donald Trump

Source: Getty Images / Getty Images

A spokesperson for Donald Trump, Steven Cheung, posted a video on social media earlier this week featuring Beyoncé’s song “Freedom.” Not long after, the singer issued a cease-and-desist to Trump’s presidential campaign, according to reports from Rolling Stone.

As fans of the star already know, not long ago, Bey personally approved making “Freedom” the official campaign theme song for Vice President Kamala Harris. It’s not hard to tell that the Trump campaign video was an attempt to troll the Harris campaign, but in the end, it all seemed to blow up in Trump’s face. Within hours of the cease-and-desist being threatened, the video was removed from social media.

Following President Joe Biden announcing his decision not to seek reelection, Kamala wasted no time, walking out to the podium while “Freedom” played during her first public appearance. Shortly thereafter, her campaign dropped an official launch video featuring the song.

According to reports from CNN, Harris’ team got approval from Bey’s representatives to use “Freedom” throughout her campaign just a few hours before she walked out to the song.

While Beyoncé hasn’t personally endorsed Harris for president, giving her permission to use her song might as well be one–especially after denying Trump that same privilege. Plus, Kamala already got the cosign from one of Bey’s closest confidants: her mother, Tina Knowles.

Knowles wasted no time in announcing her endorsement, posting a picture of her and Vice President Harris to Instagram along with some glowing words about the presidential candidate.

“New, Youthful, Sharp , , energy !!!! You asked for it and our President Biden did what was best for the country,” Mama Tina wrote in her caption. “Putting personal Ego , power and fame aside . That is the definition of a great leader. Thank you, President Biden for your service and your leadership . Go Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let’s Go. #kamala2024.”

But, will Bey drop an actual endorsement? Only time will tell.

Gunna is giving back to the community with a huge giveaway.

2024 BET Awards - Arrivals

While his peers’ careers have almost diminished as they debated about his possible “rat” status in the YSL RICO trial, Gunna is steadily ascending.

Since being released from jail on an Alford plea he has topped the charts and completed a health journey. Now amid his many wins, he’s giving back to his home state.

According to WSBTV, Gunna’s Great Giveaway Foundation combined forces with the Black Music Action Coalition for the “303049 Guaranteed Income Program.” The program will spend $500K to bless 30 South Fulton families with $1,000 for an entire year.

“I am deeply committed to fostering economic opportunities and uplifting our community,” said South Fulton mayor Khalid Kamau. “The partnership between Gunna, BMAC, and the City of South Fulton represents a transformative step in addressing the economic disparities that some of our residents face. The Gunna x BMAC 30349 Guaranteed Income Program is not just an investment in our city’s future, but a powerful example of how we can create meaningful change through collaboration and innovation,”

“My goal was to uplift my hometown by providing resources that could make a tangible difference in at least one household,” said Gunna bout the program. “The Guaranteed Income program in South Fulton is a significant step toward enhancing these communities and transforming the economic landscape of the city. “

Gunna isn’t new to giving back to his community he’s blessed McNair Middle School with an in-school grocery store, free clothing, and everyday items to help ease the burden on parents. His latest program hopes to help reduce mental stress and if it succeeds, hopefully more artists and cities will join. The amount may seem small but in this economy, $1,000 can go a long way, especially for children in need.

Look, it’s no secret that ever since President Joe Biden decided to step aside and yield the Democratic nomination for president to Vice President Kamala Harris, a certain terracotta-colored cretin has been having a rough go of it.

Kamala x Trump

Source: Win McNamee/ Joe Raedle / Getty

Trump thought he was going to win the White House back in a landslide victory against Biden, and now he’s watching Harris rise in the polls, he’s kicking and screaming about where his debates against her will be held, and he’s so transparently jealous of the large crowds she has been able to draw that he’s out here lying about those crowds being generated by AI.

So, now that the Democratic National Convention has given consecutive nights of Harris praise and Trump dumping, somebody in Trumpty-Dumpty’s campaign should probably check the candidate’s blood pressure, because if his social media feed is any indication, that man is about to pop a forehead vein causing his sentient toupee to run for all of the hills except Capitol Hill.

Anyway, let’s take a look at some of the best digs against Trump at the DNC so far.

1. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul.

We’re starting with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul mostly because she clearly got under Trump’s rust-orange skin when she noted that the commander-in-34-convictions was “born a New Yorker, but ended up a fraud, a philanderer and a felon.”

“He wasn’t raised with the New York values that I know. He never had to worry about child care costs, or groceries, or rent,” Hochul said on the first night of the DNC. “He never had to worry about anything — or anyone — but himself.”

Trump responded on his comically titled “Truth” Social platform by calling Hochul “nasty,” which is essentially the first word he comes up with whenever a female journalist or official challenges him in a tone he doesn’t like. (See his racist-a** appearance at NABJ.)

“Kathy Hochul, the very unpopular Governor of New York, was the nastiest speaker on Monday evening (at the Democrat National Convention) as it pertains to your favorite President, me,” Trump wrote. “Her total hatred, and statements made about me, had no bounds.”

“Number one, I did a GREAT job in New York, employed thousands of people, built some of the most beautiful and successful buildings, and paid billions of dollars in taxes,” Trump continued. “Number two is that, on the very distinct possibility I will win the Presidency, wouldn’t it be better for the people of New York State to have a Governor who got along with the President? Adversarial relationships are not good in politics!”

You might be asking yourself a few obvious questions:

When the hell has Trump ever spewed anything but “total hatred” at his opposition? When has he ever extended the grace to his opponents that he is now demanding from them? By Trump’s non-logic, it’s also true that there’s a “very distinct possibility” that Kamala Harris will be elected president, in which case he would also regret all of the “total hatred” he has leveled against her, no?

Ok, let’s move on.

2.  Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also spent the first night of the DNC coming straight at Trump’s jugular as she noted the ridiculous of the very idea that a supposed billionaire who came from wealth and largely worked for the wealthy during his presidency is somehow the ultimate man of the people.

“We know Trump would sell this country for a dollar if it meant lining his own pockets and greasing palms of his Wall Street friends,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And I, for one, am tired of hearing about how a two-bit union buster thinks of himself as more of a patriot than the woman who fights every single day to lift working people out from under the boots of greed trampling on our way of life.”

“The truth is, Don, you cannot love this country if you only fight for the wealthy and big business,” she continued.

Daaaaayum! AOC didn’t have to do the silver spoon buffoon painted orangey-maroon like that. She had bars though.

3.  Stephanie Grisham.

Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham used to be a Trump supporter. In fact, it was her job to be a Trump supporter and clean up every mess he made after spewing pure bile out of his butthole-shaped mouth, which had to be a full-time job with more overtime than anyone ever wanted. On the second night of the DNC, Grisham became the living embodiment of “It be your own people” when she was one of three Republicans to take the DNC stage and spill the real tea on the Pumpkin spice MAGA Menace.

“I saw him when the cameras were off. Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his supporters. He calls them ‘basement dwellers,’” Grisham said of Trump. “He has no empathy, no morals and no fidelity to the truth. He used to tell me, ‘It doesn’t matter what you say, Stephanie. Say it enough, and people will believe you.’”

“When I was press secretary, I got skewered for never holding a White House briefing. It’s because, unlike my boss, I never wanted to stand at that podium and lie,” she went on to say.

Well.

4. Barack and Michelle Obama.

OK, so we already covered former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama laying the tag-team smackdown on Trump during the second night of the convention, but we just can’t gloss over the way Barack was killing Trump, who he said “hasn’t stopped whining since he rode down that golden elevator.

If you look closer during the part where the former commander-in-chief was taking a dig at Trump’s aforementioned “weird obsession with crowd sizes,” Obama appeared to be mocking the weird thing Trump is always doing with his hands where it looks like he’s trying to explain the before and after effects of penile enhancement.

But it was Michelle who really brought the hammer down on Trump.

“For years, Donald Trump did everything in his power to try to make people fear us,” said Michelle according to NewsOne. “See, his limited, narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly educated, successful people who happen to be Black. I want to know — I want to know — who’s going to tell him, who’s going to tell him, that the job he is currently seeking might just be one of those ‘Black jobs’?”

5. Hillary Clinton.

Former presidential candidate and First Lady, Hillary Clinton, was basically like: “Nah, y’all ain’t finna throw this Trump-jumping party and not invite me to come shake a leg.”

After Trump led his MAGA minions in chanting “Lock her up” when they were running against each other in 2015’s general election, you just know Clinton was waiting to take revenge on the guy who stored multiple truckloads of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida after he and his low-information constituents had so much to say about her emails.

From Politico:

The former secretary of state used her primetime speech at the Democratic National Convention to rip into her former presidential rival as a selfish criminal who Democrats now have “on the run” against Vice President Kamala Harris.

As a prosecutor, Harris “locked up murderers and drug traffickers. She will never rest in defense of our freedom and safety,” Clinton said.

“Donald Trump fell asleep at his own trial. And when he woke up, he made his own kind of history — the first person to run for president with 34 felony convictions,” Clinton said.

Then she grinned as the crowd erupted into chants of “lock him up.”

Yeah, that must have been fun for her.

Anyway, the final night of the DNC will air live on Thursday evening. Let’s see if we can add a few more great Trump digs to the list.
