Angel Reese x Shaquille O'Neal

Source: Gilbert Flores/Dimitrios Kambouris / Getty

Angel Reese invited her mentor and Reebok boss Shaquille O’Neal to a sit-down on her Unapologetically Angel podcast and things got creepy.

Though the episode covered a litany of topics, the conversation took a turn when the NBA champion started sharing his thoughts on how the WNBA can be more entertaining. Though the league just finished one of its most popular and profitable seasons, it seems that many still think the game has some missing pieces. In O’Neal‘s eyes, the ladies’ inability to dunk is holding them back…as well as their sex appeal.

“Imagine you in them same little shorts you had at the Wild N’ Out show dunking,” he said. “You know how many t-shirts you would sell, you trippin’. If you just lower it like that to where it gives you the ability to dunk. A lot of people are going to comment, they going to hate this, but I know exactly what I’m talking about, that’s the only thing missing!”

The comments seemed to come out of nowhere and were extra weird considering the 52-year-old has largely taken on a role of mentorship in the young athlete’s life. They share a similar background as they both led LSU to national championships and O’Neal signed Reese to a NIL deal with Reebok even before she went pro. Reese also had the NBA legend walk her out at her senior night for her final season.

Social media, rightfully, called Shaq to the carpet for the disturbing behavior as well as the troubling professional dynamics that could arise between the two of them.

Of course, the misogynists and “pick-me”-s were out in droves to defend Shaq’s comments as just playful banter between two people who share a close relationship but mostly social media has dragged him for them.

Shaq has yet to respond to the backlash but here’s to hoping that he’s reevaluating how he handled himself on the podcast. Reese is set to release her first signature shoe with Reebok in 2026 where O’Neal currently serves as President of Basketball alongside fellow NBA icon, Allen Iverson.

Lizzo‘s Halloween costume has caused quite a stir as the fictional alternative to Ozempic! The rapper decided to embrace a joke South Park made about her earlier in the year, and fans love it! Though many jokes have been made about her weight over the years, Lizzo seemingly takes it all in stride.

You may recall in May 2024, South Park aired an episode, that cracked a joke about Lizzo’s weight. In the episode “The End of Obesity,” the characters discussed not caring about their weight — like Lizzo. A box resembling weight loss drugs like Ozempic was pictured. However, the box read “Lizzo.” The episode went on to make more references to the singer/songwriter with a doctor prescribing patients the “Lizzo” product.

“I’m going to write you a prescription for Lizzo. She’s a really good singer who talks about body positivity, and just being happy with the way you look. I want you to listen to Lizzo five times a day, and watch her videos just before bedtime. I’m afraid you’ll have to be on Lizzo for the rest of your life,” a character says in the show.

The hit Comedy Central cartoon went a step further to make the anti-weightless product seem real, including a FDA side effects message as well.

“Lizzo helps you eat everything you want, and keep physical activity to a minimum….stop listening to Lizzo if you experience suicidal thoughts. Serious side effects may include pancreatitis, hypothermia, and literally s****ing out of your ears,” the show joked.

According to TMZ, the “Truth Hurts” singer took the joke well with more of her on-brand optimism. She took to social media to laugh along with viewers.

Tthat’s crazy. I just feel like damn, I’m really that b***h,” she stated. “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f**k to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f**k I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.”

Lizzo Dresses Up As Lizzo For Halloween

Lizzo is bringing the South Park joke back to light for the Halloween season! The singer recently posted her costume to Instagram, and it may be funnier than the South Park episode. The “About Damn Time” singer was pictured dressed in a box that resembled the box from the cartoon. However, she opted to add a measuring tape for a belt.

Pulling the focus away from weight loss, Lizzo’s Halloween costume focused on self-love in her mock ad. She included slogans like “lose guilt, gain confidence.” The caption was rather simple as she marked the beginning of Halloween.

“Ok Halloween… you can start now,” she wrote.

The use of the South Park joke for her Halloween costume comes after the 36-year-old showed off her weight loss. After taking a little time off of social media, the singer returned and revealed the work she has been putting in at the gym. Still, Lizzo is the body positivity queen! Though she lost weight, she stated she looks good with or without the extra weight.

“Fine both ways,” she wrote in the caption of her post.

Who is the “Black Insurrectionist?”

The social media account known as “Black Insurrectionist,” which stirred up 2024 election conspiracy theories that Donald Trump “loves” has finally been unmasked as a white man named Jason G. Palmer. “Everybody wants to be a…” Well, you know how the saying goes.

According to The Associated Press, Palmer operated the account on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. His profile included a picture of a Black soldier and the tagline “I FOLLOW BACK TRUE PATRIOTS.”

This deceptive persona amassed over 300,000 followers and pushed controversial claims about high-profile political figures, such as Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. The AP reports that some of the account’s most salacious claims were even amplified by former President Donald Trump, JD Vance, and their Republican allies in Congress.

This feels so similar to the reveal that the Spokane NAACP President was a blonde white woman named Rachel Dolezal.

False Allegations & Russian Disinformation

In the final weeks leading up to the election, Black Insurrectionist ramped up its false claims, some of which quickly went viral. Last month, the account posted what it claimed was an affidavit from an ABC News employee alleging that Harris was provided debate questions in advance.

ABC News strongly denied that statement.

The AP states that Trump, however, seized on this baseless claim, stating,

“I love the person.”

The account also posted a fabricated story accusing Walz of inappropriate behavior with a student decades ago. U.S. intelligence identified this as a lie as stemming from a Russian disinformation campaign.

It’s such a mess.

A Dubious Digital Trail

The AP tracked the account back to Palmer by cross-referencing personal details posted by Black Insurrectionist with public records and interviews with individuals who knew Palmer.

A pivotal clue came from a video posted in March, where Palmer’s email address and the initials “JP” were visible on his web browser, linking him to the account. Palmer denied creating the account but admitted to having owned it before allegedly selling it earlier this year.

However, he recently admitted to posting content, including accusations against Walz, claiming he worked as a “researcher” with a broader network of people.

“We did that with big people. National people,” said Palmer.

So many lies piling up.

Palmer’s Troubled Past

Palmer’s backstory is equally controversial. The AP states that Palmer has a lengthy history of legal and financial issues, including allegations of fraud, more than $6.7 million in unpaid taxes. This is allegedly due to a past struggle with drug addiction.

His former associates painted a picture of a man who lured others into failing business ventures, leaving a trail of unpaid debts and broken promises. Kathleen Albano, the widow of a former business partner, described her husband’s experience with Palmer.

“He owes me a ton of money… My husband got caught up in a lot of those dealings,” said Albano.

She also claims Palmer even purchased a home from her and her husband, only to stop making payments.

Courtroom Drama & A Web Of Lies

Adding to his checkered history, Palmer has been linked to multiple lawsuits involving fraudulent business practices. The AP states that court records share a forensic specialist determined that Palmer allegedly used digital manipulation to forge signatures and notarizations on legal documents.

Despite his attempts to distance himself from the “Black Insurrectionist” account, his digital and personal history is now exposing a pattern of deceit that only adds more fuel to this heated election season.

Diddy and Jamie Foxx attend Ladylike Foundation's 9th Annual Women Of Excellence Awards Gala - Inside

Source: Earl Gibson III / Getty

Jamie Foxx is heading to Netflix for his first comedy special in 22 years and rumors are flying that the Academy Award winner named Diddy as the person responsible for his health scare in 2023.

However, it seems like it was all in good fun. Foxx has always addressed his fellow celebrities in his standup specials and infamously made some enemies doing so, this time seems no different. According to TMZ, eyewitnesses who were at the tapings of the special, aptly titled What Had Happened Was, earlier this month, reported that the 56-year-old named the disgraced music mogul as a funny punchline, nothing more.

It was previously reported by Page Six, that some audience members didn’t take it as a joke. One up-and-coming comedian, who goes by Choke No Joke, gave his two cents on the matter after seeing two tapings of the special.

“Jamie has a special coming out on Netflix called ‘What Had Happened Was,’ and I went to the taping of it. It was three days taping. I went to the first show; I went to the last show, ” he said.” [Jamie said] Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs].”

He continued,

“Y’all can determine was he joking or not when you see the show, ’cause to me — I’m a new comedian, right? … I know when somebody’s setting up a punchline, and I know when you’re serious.”

Source: Vince Bucci / Getty

Well, ok. Choke went on to say that Foxx‘s behavior and seemingly greatly improved health since Diddy‘s legal matters began also point to some truth behind the jest.

“We haven’t seen him. As soon as Puff went to jail, [Foxx] was at the god**n Dallas football game, right?” he said. “And now he just went and shot his special. And who’s the special strongly based around? Diddy.”

Maybe Choke should think about picking up a career in the FBI instead of comedy.

Either way, everyone is excited to see Jamie come back to standup. Though watching him soar to incredible heights in Hollywood has been a sight to behold, few people can deliver funny the way he can. Maybe he’ll stop by the studio and give us another album next.

His family confirmed the heartbreaking news, revealing that Clark Kent, born Rodolfo A. Franklin, died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones — wife Kesha, daughter Kabriah, and son Antonio, known as Mage.

A statement from the family expressed their gratitude for the support they’ve received, while also asking for prayers and privacy during this difficult time of grief. Even in his final years, he continued to tour the world, spreading his gift and passion for hip-hop, never letting the illness define him.

Clark Kent’s legacy began in Brooklyn, where he first fell in love with the art of DJing and hip-hop culture. In the 1980s, he gained recognition as the touring DJ for rapper Dana Dane, a role that served as the launching pad for a legendary career in music production. It wasn’t long before his talent as a producer caught fire in the industry, leading him to work with some of the biggest names in hip-hop history.

One of his most notable contributions came in the mid-1990s when he helped shape Jay-Z’s critically acclaimed debut album, Reasonable Doubt. Clark Kent’s production credits on tracks like “Brooklyn’s Finest” left an indelible mark on the project and on the sound of New York rap. In addition to Jay-Z, he also worked with hip-hop icons such as The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim, and Foxy Brown.

Last thing you told me was cuzzo the new album must be named “inga” promise on Baby C I will I will honor your last words to me and leave the last song open for you. Through these tears tho I love you cousin. DJ Clark Kent.”

Even as he quietly fought cancer, Clark Kent continued to bring his energy to stages around the globe, maintaining his love for music and his commitment to his fans.

Beyond his work as a producer and DJ, Clark Kent was also known as a passionate sneakerhead, curating one of the most coveted sneaker collections in the world.

His work was not just about creating beats and producing tracks — it was about pushing the boundaries of what hip-hop could be, both musically and culturally. Whether it was working with up-and-coming artists or sharing his immense sneaker knowledge with fellow enthusiasts, Clark Kent embodied the essence of the hip-hop culture he loved.

Kamala Harris Holds Rally In Houston, Texas Highlighting Support For Reproductive Rights

Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland popped up in their Houston hometown to support Vice President Kamala Harris as the right choice, while Amber Rose continued her conservative crash-out by claiming Cowboy Carter copied her speech.

Our queens of the H-town took to the stage together, after being introduced by none other than Mama Tina Knowles, to make bold statements in support of Harris.

The “Texas Hold Em’” singer clarified that she was urging the American people to cast their vote for the sitting Vice President not as an international superstar but as a concerned citizen with much at stake.

“I’m here as a mother who cares deeply about the world, my children and all of our children,” she said. “A world where we have the freedom to control our bodies.”

Our girl Kelly came to shut things down as well.

Though the internet had jokes about her choice of attire, the other child of destiny delivered a rousing reminder to the American people about the control we have over our futures.

“A moment where we grab the pen back from those trying to write an American story of division and hatred. We are grabbing back the pen from those who are trying to write an American story that would deny the right for women to make our own decisions about our bodies,” she said. “Today that means grabbing that pen and casting my vote for Kamala Harris.”

Mama Tina took to the stage prior to her daughter’s passionate speeches to also lend her support to Harris in front of the more than 30,000 people who gathered for the momentous occasion.

“I’ve been blessed in my life to have many careers, many Black jobs, but I have said before that the best job I’ve ever had is being a mother,” she said. “I’ve had the privilege and honor to raise and help raise four beautiful daughters. And I also take immense pride in being ‘Mama Tina’ to so many young women and men.”

The Harris-Walz campaign is making its final push ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5. Their Houston rally focused on reproductive freedom and featured a lineup of predominately woman speakers. Texas is also a largely red state. We’ll have to wait for the final vote count to see if Bey, Kelly, and Mama Tina were successful in helping to move voters “to the left.”

Not everyone was thrilled with Beyoncé appearance and endorsement, however. Resident crash-out dummy and Trump supporter, Amber Rose, took to the comments of The Shade Room to accuse Queen Bey of stealing her words.

“She wanna be me so bad,” she said. “Literally took my whole speech.”

Lil Durk reportedly booked several international flights to confuse authorities before his arrest while planning a private jet escape.

On Thursday Chicago Rapper Lil Durk was arrested by US Marshalls on “murder for hire” charges stemming from a Los Angeles shooting targeting Quando Rondo. Reportedly the shooting happened in retaliation for King Von’s murder at the hands of Quando associate Lul Timm. Very few details were available upon his arrest, but now we have a better picture of the allegations against Durk. The morning of his arrest several associates from his OTF family were arrested in connection to the 2022 shooting in Los Angeles.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Lil Durk allegedly planned to flee the country to avoid arrest. In a wild case of “life comes at you fast”, Durk went from receiving keys to the City of Chicago to planning to flee the country.

Allegedly Durk booked two commercial flights with one landing in Dubai and another in Switzerland. He never made it either flight and Seemingly thought this would confuse the police. Meanwhile, he had a private jet booked to leave for Italy at 9 p.m. Thursday but he was arrested just an hour before takeoff.

We may never know Durk’s thought process but clearing international customs wouldn’t have happened for a wanted man. Allegedly the credit cards used to purchase items in the 2022 shooting that killed one of Quando’s associates were linked to OTF. With that, the pattern of unwise decisions that created the situation continued until the last suspect was arrested.

The university announced the shocking news of his death on Thursday, Oct. 24. He passed away at a hospital in the Tampa area due to complications from a medical procedure. He leaves behind his wife, Arianne Buchanan, and their three children, Laila, Lana, and Aydin.

The USF Vice President for Athletics, Michael Kelly, remembered Abdur-Rahim and his impact on the campus community.

“All of us with South Florida Athletics are grieving with the loved ones of Coach Abdur-Rahim. He was authentic, driven, and his infectious personality captivated all of Bulls Nation. Coach Abdur-Rahim leaves a lasting impact on our student-athletes, the University, and the community. We are supporting those closest to him, including his family, team, and athletics staff, to ensure they have the resources they need to deal with this tremendous loss,” he said.

USF President Rhea Law added:

“In a very short time, Coach Abdur-Rahim made an indelible impact on the University of South Florida. In his first season as our head coach, he brought an unmatched enthusiasm, achieved unprecedented success and helped generate unforgettable memories for Bulls Nation.”

She continued, “Throughout my time working with Coach Abdur-Rahim, I was continually inspired by his leadership, and truly admired his sincere approach to connecting with our entire student body. His influence on our student-athletes, coaching staff and the university community will live on forever.”

“We are heartbroken over the passing of Coach Abdur-Rahim.

A tremendous man & leader with an infectious personality that was a shining light to all he encountered.

Our thoughts & prayers are with his family, friends and everyone that he left a lasting impact on,” the post said.

Abdur-Rahim’s dynamic coaching took the Bulls team to new heights as he did for other teams with dysfunctional programs. Abdur-Rahim’s leadership took the team its first conference championship with a 25-8 record. In addition to unprecedented success for the team, ranked in the top 25 of the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll, he was named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year this year.

As a Southern Louisiana University player, Abdur-Rahim led his school to its only NCAA appearance and first SLC title. Earlier this year, his alma mater inducted him into the Southern Louisiana Hall of Fame.

Before USF, the 18-year coaching veteran doubled the season wins for Kennesaw State, according to CBS Sports. Abdur-Rahim made history with a trajectory from one-win seasons to the NCAA tournament in only four years. At the University of Georgia, Abdur-Rahim helped secure Anthony Edwards before we went on to become the No. 1 NBA draft pick.

Former 13-year NBA star Shareef Abdur-Rahim remembered his brother in a social media post on Friday.

“From God, we come, and to God, we must all return. On behalf of my family, I want to express our gratitude to all who have reached out regarding Amir’s passing. Please remember our family in your prayers. As @sunsetAMIR would say, to God be the Glory,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Our condolences go out to Amir Abdur-Rahim’s family and loved ones.

Hot Girl Summer may be over but Megan Thee Stallion is taking over all of 2024 as “the year of Thee Stallion.” Not letting her foot off the gas or her haters’ necks, Megan is back with a homegrown homage and a dozen other songs on her new album. On Friday, Megan Thee Stallion locked in and clocked in as her beloved alter ego for the “Bigger In Texas” video.

https://twitter.com/TheStevenDwayne/status/1849676202149077156

Following Megan’s hit self-titled album, she’s waving the Texas flag for her victory lap in Act II. Like the cover art featuring her diamond grill and matching blinged-out font, the slow-simmering single is a love letter to classic Texas rap.

With her Pimp C-inspired persona, Tina Snow, Megan stands on the shoulders of UGK. Local legends like Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and Sauce Walka stood by Megan’s side as she put on for Houston.

https://twitter.com/FemaleRapRoom/status/1849669334768980151

“So much winnin’, they thinkin’ it’s rigged, never thought I would do it this big/

I’m the youngest b***h ownin’ her masters, b***hes old as f**k, stuck in a deal,” she rapped, coming for her haters.

In the outro, Megan also seemingly addressed her recent beefs with rap rivals like Nicki Minaj.

“I don’t wanna be your bestie, these h**s messy, always worried ’bout the next b***h/

Always itchin’ for a motherf**kin’ problem, b***h h**, please, go get tested/

Always beggin’ me to crash out with these losers, shut up, enjoy this music/

Y’all gon’ learn how I move on my time, and not for none of y’all amusement, hm,”  she continued.

Megan Thee Stallion Bends Bars & Genres With Flo Milli, TWICE, And RM Of BTS On Megan: Act II

The double-disc deluxe edition Megan: Act II adds 10 new songs, including “Bigger In Texas.” She slides on fan favorites from Megan Mondays like “He Think I Love Him” and “Like A Freak.” The infectious hit “Neva Play (feat. RM of BTS) fills out the 13-track release, ranging from rock to K-Pop.

“I feel like I have to keep the Hotties fed and keep them stimulated. You have to understand this is the year of Megan Thee Stallion,” she told Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.

Following their “Sunday Service” success on Latto’s remix, Megan reunited with Flo Milli. The “Never Lose Me” lyricist slid on a sample of Ciara’s “Goodies” with Megan for “Rock Steady.”

Spiritbox brought the edgy energy on “TYG.” Megan’s bars went as “hard in the paint” as the electric guitar. The Canadian metal band previously pushed “Cobra” and its rock roots to another level with a remix in 2023.

Megan continues the crossover success of “Mamushi” with a remix featuring TWICE. The original with Japanese star Yuki Chiba became an instant viral hit across the globe. Now, the K-pop girl group TWICE is taking that momentum even further.

Earlier this week, the Grammy winner teamed up with the New York Liberty for a viral “Mamushi” moment.

Megan Thee Stallion was definitely cooking on the new album and the Hotties are eating it up.
