TikTok is the latest internet obsession that continues to evolve into an essential outlet for Black creatives across the globe who have nothing but time and opportunity to flip big ideas into wild, crazy, hilarious or visually dazzling videos during this stressfully uncertain time.

At this point, more and more people are joining the ever-growing phenomenon, especially younger millennials and clout-thirsty Gen-Z-ers who flood social media with HBCU-themed content celebrating the beloved bands, dazzling dancers and storied Greek orgs that made historically Black colleges/universities so great.

Yep, it’s one of our favorite trends so you know we had to compile the best HBCU-themed videos from across the whole entire internet for your quarantine enjoyment.

Hit the flip for the best (and funniest) HBCU-themed TikTok videos on the internet.

LisaRaye McCoy has a message for women who marry for potential instead of pure love –don’t.

While appearing on Claudia Jordan’s Fox Soul showOut Loud LisaRaye explained to Vivica A. Fox and Syleena Johnson where she felt she went wrong. Claudia challenged the women to admit a fault or share a shortcoming they feel they have, and LisaRaye poured out her answer like it was a confession:

“For me, hands down, I should have married for love.”

When asked if she was admitting that she didn’t, Lisa agreed.

“Oh I did not. No, I did not. It was the potential of falling in love, but I should have been in that before the marriage.”

“The dream he sold me was, ‘I want to date you in our marriage.’ I had never heard of that before and I was thinking, that’s kind of clever! And we’re going towards that way anyway, so okay. We can accomplish what we’re trying to accomplish sooner in a partnership. In a partnership. A partnership is what I thought I was getting into.”

Their girl’s talk was very spicy. Hit play to hear the conversation.

Shya L’amour, the mother of Offset’s four-year daughter who put the couple on blast last week has some words for Cardi B, fans think. She wants the rappers to know that she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!

L’amour is currently awaiting her day in court with Offset to handle business when it comes to provisions for their daughter. Last we reported, L’amour was upset at both Offset and Cardi B for being allegedly “disrespectful” when she reached out to discuss emergency child support for Offset’s 4-year-old. Shya claimed Cardi B had threatened to slap her. She also alleges Offset reached out to her for sex, unsuccessfully, before cutting off co-parenting communication.

Cardi B nor Offset have yet to respond publicly to Shya, but this TikTok video featuring audio from Cardi B’s nemesis Nicki Minaj seems to throw jabs at Offset’s wife.

“You can’t get rid of me b*tch. I’m not going no where.”

Welp! Offset is due back in court sometime in May over the child support matter.

Sheree Whitfield has revealed that her mother has been located (THANK YOU JESUS!) after announcing that she was missing on social media this week and asking for prayers. She’s thanking everyone for the amazing prayers. Earlier this week, Sheree please with her mom to return home, safely. “Mom, please just come home to us or let us know that you are okay,” Whitfield begged. “Your grandkids and family are worried sick.”

Thelma Ferguson, 77, has been found “safe & healthy,” Sheree says, just two days after asking for prayers from her followers in hopes of locating the missing woman.

“Thank you for all the prayers, they WORKED! My Mom has been found safe & healthy. She is with family now. I couldn’t have gotten through this without your support! GOD IS GOOD!”

The RHOA star had been searching for Ferguson ever since she went missing on March 23. She was last seen leaving her home in Sandy Springs, Georgia, to go to the bank.

Now that’s some good news!

Little Fires Everywhere Episodic Shots

Anika Noni Rose plays the dynamic Pauline Hawthorne in episode six of the Hulu hit series “Little Fires Everywhere”. Hawthorne has a tremendous influence on a young Mia, played by Tiffany Boone, and helps her step fully into her role as an artist. We caught up with the actress to chat just before HULU debuted her big episode (Episode 6) to discuss!

BOSSIP: What brought you to “Little Fires Everywhere”?

Anika Noni Rose: It was an offer. Kerry and I had worked together before so it was really nice to work with her again and see her in this space, which was a new and different space for her, but it’s always lovely when we get to see each other out of the place that people tried to keep us in, once we announced ourselves. That’s exciting. And as somebody who also has properties that they’re producing, it felt really good to see her step into herself in that way.

I was really pleased to be part of the set. Reese and I didn’t really work together, but she was lovely and she made it a point to come and meet me and say hello. And so it was nice to be with those kind of people on a set because so often you can be on a set and not meet anybody. But when people make the effort to be inclusive to people who aren’t necessarily in every episode — when you’re an actor who is not in every episode, when you’re in 6 of 8 or 2 of 8 or 4 of 8 or whatever it may be, you get in the trailer and it always feels like you’re the new kid in school. It’s nice when you get on a set where people are actively welcoming and that was really great. So it came to me as an offer and I thought, oh this is somebody I haven’t played before. This is interesting, and look at all these fantastic women that I get to work with! So it wasn’t a difficult decision for me.

BOSSIP: So tell us about your character, you make your first appearance in episode 6?

Anika Noni Rose: You get to see a peek of me in Episode one, then I swing back through in Episode 6 and I think you can see me in some more flashbacks in other episodes. I haven’t seen them yet either to be honest. Here’s what I will tell you. I think the story is very compelling. I think that Kerry and Reese put together a production which was a really good place to be, very woman friendly and supportive. When you look around on the set. I was directed by Nzingha Stewart who was very phenomenal, and beautiful, I don’t know if you’ve ever seen her.

BOSSIP: We just interviewed her as well. She said to give you her love.

Anika Noni Rose: I adore her! I was like ‘Oooh this is going to be my friend.’ She was really fantastic and it was just a really good set. I play an artist named Pauline Hawthorne who was Mia’s art teacher when she was in school. I’m a photographer and I do other things as well, so I was sort of the inspiration for Mia to really grab ahold of her artist self. So you saw a lot of me with Young Mia, played by Tiffany Boone who is FANTASTIC, she was such a delight to work with, such a professional, so you always know you’re going to be met at net with her, which is a lovely thing when you are working with somebody. You’re going to get to see our relationship evolve as student/teacher and then student/friend when you realize you have something in common with somebody who sees you and believes you which is what Mia got from Paula Hawthorne. She’s a very, like, very artsy woman, things flow on her and there’s jingly jewelry, she’s one of those women you see on the street and you go, ‘OH she is absolutely an artist! Or she’s totally a dancer.’ You see it in her pores, she exudes artistry. I consider myself an artist, I wish I was one of those people who could dress and look like art. I’m not one of those people. I actually loved putting her on. It was a really great time.

BOSSIP: This series is very unique in the diversity of the cast and crew, it’s a very unique, female-led production, and a lot of the focus has been on race on the show, which is not so much of the case with the book.

Anika Noni Rose: I think you’re ultimately telling the same story, but there are layers involved when you have a black woman who is living in her car. What do people automatically think? Are they more likely to be judgmental? Are they going to call the cops or are they going to offer to help? If they call the cops, what does that mean? And when they offer to help, what does that mean? If they offer to help does that mean ‘Oh, I’m going to call a friend of mine who is hiring, OR ‘would you like to come clean my house?’ There’s so many elements, which is very very interesting I think. It makes people either put their nice face on or they take their nice face off and you can see who they really are.

You get to see Kerry’s character Mia and her daughter Pearl who is played by Lexi Underwood and is really lovely, and you also get to see what it means for them to move into this neighborhood where they are essentially the only ones and how careful do they have to be about the way they’re living. And you know a lot of people feel you know, ‘I’m just going to be myself.’ But some people feel they have to show up as the best version of themselves they could possibly be because everyone is watching. I think they are very interesting in the way they step into this neighborhood and people make such an effort showing them that they belong, that the undercurrent is that you know that they don’t really. I think there are lovely layers that are added to that, that don’t really change the story in any ways that make it unrecognizable from the book, they just show that there’s much more for many people to connect to.

Love it. Have you seen the latest episode of “Little Fires Everywhere” this week? What did you think of the Pauline Hawthorne character? We’re looking forward to seeing more flashbacks because we couldn’t believe what happened to Pauline by the end of the episode! Hopefully more is explained. Also if you haven’t caught up yet you NEED to because so much is explained about why Mia and Pearl mover around so much. Oh yea and also Jesse Williams and Nikki Beharie are featured in this episode as well!

US-NORWAY-POLITICS-TRUMP

Source: BRENDAN SMIALOWSKI / Getty

Well, this is a disaster. Donald Trump tried to celebrate the country’s response to the Coronavirus by celebrating the senate vote for a stimulus plan.

“Congratulations America!” As he tweeted out those two words, the body count and infection count went through the roof. We raced past 1,000 deaths and are on pace to have the worst infection rate in the entire world. Of course, this is largely this idiot’s fault as he ignored warnings, refused to plan ahead and called the damn thing a load for weeks.

The internet was quick to respond and let the world know the United States is a damn joke and it’s absolutely his fault.

“Nurses in NYC wearing trash bags for PPE, NYC setting up makeshift morgues. Dallas, 4th largest MSA in the USA, is limited to 250 COVID-19 tests per day at their drive-thru test. GOP Senators arguing 4 months of UI will somehow created a moral hazard. CONGRATULATIONS AMERICA!”

That was just one reaction. Hit the flip to see the rest and how he sentenced people to damn death.

“Congratulations America, our dumpster fire President’s garbage response to Coronavirus has NY Doctors wearing trash bags. A Thematic success!”

“Congratulations AMERICA???
There are now 1050 Americans DEAD, with 69,222 who have tested postive for the coronavirus, and THIS is what you tweet at 1 am?
This is your MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Woman facepalming”

“BREAKING: 3.28 million Americans filed for unemployment last week. For context, highest this number ever got during the Great Recession in a week was 665,000 and highest ever was 695,000 in October 1982. Congrats Trump: You broke another economic record! #CongratulationsAmerica”

“Congratulations America, we’ve been played.

Your one-time $1200 stimulus check may not come for 3-4 months if you don’t have direct deposit with the IRS.

Fatal #COVID infections are on the rise & we still don’t have enough tests.

May I suggest #GeneralStrike or bust?”

Congratulations America

“Within days, you are about to become a country with way more cases of #COVID19 than China, even though you have a quarter of the population. You had at least 6 weeks of advance notice and your President totally wasted it for you.”

“Donald Trump’s day so far:

– 3.3 million people unemployed
– Death toll rising
– Nurses wearing trash bags
– Trump tweeted “Congratulations AMERICA!” at one in the morning and hasn’t said anything since
– We have no President
– Trump is going to hell
– It’s still only 11:30am”

“WOW!! Trump team failed to follow NSC’s pandemic playbook “It is not clear if the administration’s failure to follow the NSC playbook was the result of an oversight or a deliberate decision to follow a different course.” #CongratulationsAmerica”

Congratulations America! 3.28 Million us a new all-time record. That is nearly 3.3 MILLION if you don’t know math. All of my numbers are skyrocketing because I made the brilliant move to “shut it down” and then pretend for 2 months it wasn’t already here!

“It only took a global pandemic and a complete and total societal shutdown to prevent school shootings.

Congratulations America.”

“Did I see you Americans are getting a one-time $1200 check to cover COVID unemployment? Because Canada just announced $2000/month for the next four months.”

If you’re like most of us right now, sitting at home in your house robe, scrolling through a bunch of coronavirus articles, Naomi Campbell is here to share some health knowledge with you. The superstar model is sharing her personal supplement and vitamin routine.

While Naomi maps out what supplements she takes, some on a daily basis, she gives us little tidbit on what their benefits are. Naomi has a reputation for being a stickler for her overall health. Remember pre-coronavirus days when she was cleaning off her plane seat and window with sanitizing wipes.

We will, however, say this is for entertainment purposes, for now. Consult with a doctor before copy-catting Naomi’s routine. But enjoy!

A few weeks ago, rapper DaBaby and his baby mama MeMe got into a public squabble over him fathering a child with a mystery woman and the couple seemed to be working things out behind the scene, but is he back creeping with a singer?

Fans figured there was beef between MeMe and singer DaniLeigh earlier this month when the ladies went at each other’s throats out of nowhere on Twitter. MeMe called Dani a “Squidward a** whore” after fans instigated the singer was tweeting about her in deleted posts.

“Sis got me blocked, but word keeps getting back to me .. so hopefully the energy is the same in real life,” MeMe wrote on Twitter. She followed up by calling DaniLeigh “obsessed.”

Dani confirmed that she had been looking at MeMe’s timeline too, despite being blocked.

This beef is especially awkward since DaniLeigh and DaBaby just released a song and video together, which means they probably have been spending time around each other a lot…but why are these ladies beefing like this??? It seems like we know why now. DaniLeigh and DaBaby have been hanging out lately, even through the coronavirus crisis. Hit the flip to see.

When DaniLeigh and MeMe started beefing online, MeMe posted photos alleges she took from DaBaby’s phone of their conversation. From the texts, it looks like DaniLeigh felt like DaBaby wasn’t being honest about his relationship status with MeMe and she expressed she was sad over it. Swipe to read it.

MeMe may have won that battle, but DaBaby appears to still be seeing Danileigh according to an IG story she posted this week. DaniLeigh posted a photo from a child’s room featuring a scooter that looks exactly like the one that belongs to DaBaby’s daughter. You can click HERE to see the comparison.

Do YOU think DaniLeigh and DaBaby are creeping around?

Kim Kardashian has been put on blast after she failed to credit the proper person who did her braids for her trip to Paris last week. Georgetown professor Stephanie A. Kimou, friend to Ciara Constenoble — the incredible Black stylist who actually hooked Kim’s hair up, exposed the star for being shady to Black women.

According to Kimou, Kim’s caucasian glam squad looked on as Ciara did all od he work. So why was Chris Appleton (white guy) credited for the style?

Let’s talk about anti-blackness this morning. I need to discuss appropriation and theft of our culture, our vernacular, our vibes, our lips, our hair, our essence. My sister @ciaracoiffure is an AMAZING celebrity hair stylist in Paris who styled @janellemonae @therealmaryjblige @saintrecords @kelelam and other sisters ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽well Ciara was called in at the last minute to gift KKW with the style above for her husband’s fashion show last week. In a room full of white folks, she gave KKW this style, with her uninspiring hair stylist @chrisappleton1 looking on in awe I’m sure. And guess what your favorite white girl Kim does this week? Tags said uninspiring white stylist to give him credit for these black ass cornrows! I know every black woman reading this is #disappointedbutnotsurprised at this disgusting behavior. The issue with white women like the KKW is they do not respect black culture, they see it as a style which is taken off and put back on and that’s what makes them so damn dangerous. The ERASURE OF BLACK WOMEN’S work discredits our community, takes money out of our pockets, and continues the white supremacist cycles that social media then spreads to the masses. Elevating problematic, clueless, dangerous white women needs to 🛑, do your part to dismantle this shit.

Yikes!

When you go to Kim Instagram, she really does fail to tag Ciara. What’s up with that??? Just last week, she and Yeezy were accused of not crediting ZaZa after North West performed her song. See a pattern?

Meanwhile, Ciara Constenoble has been crediting herself for the braids on her page.

So far, Kim K has not commented. SMH!
