Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara Resigns Over Sexual Misconduct

Married-a$$ Kevin Tsujihara is the latest Hollyweird powerbroker to be outed for sexual misconduct with women.

According to DailyMail, Tsjihara is accused of offering actress Charlotte Kirk roles in movies in exchange for sex. Kirk admits that she and Tsujihara had a romantic affair that began in 2014 after a night of drinks.

As of today, Tsjihara is no longer the chairman/CEO of Warner Bros. Studios.

‘It is in the best interest of WarnerMedia, Warner Bros., our employees and our partners for Kevin to step down as Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros.,’ said WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey on Monday.

‘Kevin has contributed greatly to the studio’s success over the past 25 years and for that we thank him. Kevin acknowledges that his mistakes are inconsistent with the company’s leadership expectations and could impact the company’s ability to execute going forward.’

The Hollywood Reporter broke the story early this year that revealed that the two exchanged texts where Tsjihara agreed to help Kirk with her career if she broke him off some sex every now and then. In 2016 she appeared in How To Be Single, and in 2018 Kirk landed a role in Oceans 8.

Kirk maintains that it was not forced into anything and that the relationship was not . “casting couch sex” but simply sex with a powerful man who she liked and hoped would point her in the right directions.

‘Hollywood pivots on helpful friends. You can talk to someone differently after you have been intimate with them. There is a connection,’ said Kirk.

‘You don’t say, “Get me a role,” but you expect openness and honesty when you have been lovers and you expect them to be there for you as a friend. In my case, that meant him potentially directing me towards auditions, helping me get into the room.’

She goes on to say…

‘Whatever work I got from an audition would be on my own professional acting ability and merit,’ declared the actress.

In 1994 Kevin Tsujihara became the first Asian person to head a major studio. In 2019, he walks away disgraced.

DaBaby Drops “Baby On Baby Out Now” Freestyle Video

The St. Patrick’s Day turn up is already real for the Irish — but imagine being Black and Irish.

There is an entire demographic of Black Irish whose story began in Ireland as early as the 18th century. According to Historian Lenwood Sloan, African-American women had an average life expectancy of 36 while Irish women could only be expected to live to 18. So out of necessity, “a system of placage was established in which African-American women were placed in the security of white Irish men, creating three to four generations of intermarriage.” – Irish Central

But as we all know, people of European descent aren’t keen on acknowledging anyone with African blood, whether their Irish or not.

“The relationship between Irish-Americans and African-Americans has been strained and, particularly for Irish people, not always a source of pleasant memories of our or our ancestors’ attitudes and actions. The conflict often included violence shown by Irish people towards African-Americans.” – Irish Central

Throughout the centuries, the divide between Irish people and African-American has grown greater. In 1841, over 60,000 Irishmen issued a dissertation asking their fellow Irishmen in America to join abolitionists in an effort to combat slavery. However, they failed to come through. Abolitionist abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison responded with deep disappointed in his compatriots, saying,

“Even to this hour, not a single Irishman has come forward, either publicly or privately, to express his approval of the address, or to avow his determination to abide by its sentiments.”

Two centuries later and the relations between Black and Irish folk are somewhat better. In fact, “the 2006 Irish census recorded 40,525 people of Black African ethnicity and 3,793 people of any other Black background resident in the Republic of Ireland out of a total population of 4,172,013, meaning that 1.06 percent of the population self-identified as Black.”- Wikipedia

Last night, Meek Mill stood before a crowd in his hometown of Philadelphia on what was recently designated Meek Mill Weekend. While onstage at his sold out show, the rapper debuted a brand-new teaser for the upcoming Amazon Prime Video documentary, Free Meek.

Free Meek is an upcoming documentary series that will follow Meek and his fight for exoneration while exposing flaws in the criminal justice system. The series will give viewers unprecedented access to the star’s life, career, and criminal justice odyssey, while demonstrating the negative effects long tail probation is having on urban communities of color.

You can check out the new teaser for the series below before it premieres later this year, exclusively on Prime Video.
