Dave Chappelle Helps A Couple Get Tickets To His Show

Though he might not seem like the most warm soul during some of his stand-up routines, Dave Chappelle is here to prove that he’s a genuinely good guy.

When the comedian’s team got word of a couple who were scammed out of tickets to his show in Charlotte, North Carolina, he acted quickly to make everything right.

Deidra Dickens and her husband, Eddie, were excited to buy some tickets to Chappelle’s stand-up show at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center on Valentine’s Day, according to reports from WBTV. Deidra  bought the tickets for her husband–because he’s such a big fan–through a seller on Craigslist. She also ended up purchasing two additional tickets for another couple so they could all go together.

After she transferred $500 to the seller–surprise, surprise–she never actually received the tickets. She filed a police report with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department regarding the incident, but of course, that still wouldn’t get her and her husband to Dave Chappelle’s show.

Representatives for the comedian got word of the incident and ended up reaching out to WBTV following their report on the couple and offered to help them out with some tickets. What’s even better: Dave Chappelle himself even ended up being the one to hand-deliver the tickets to the couple and chatted with them before the show.

The comedian offered them some sound advice regarding future purchases: “Always get your tickets from reliable sources.”

Cardi B And Post Malone Announces As Acts For DJ Khaled’s Festival

DJ Khaled launched his own at-sea music festival just a couple of years ago. Days of Summer is set to take place once again this year, and this time around, he’ll be bringing Cardi B and Post Malone along for the ride.

Full details have not been revealed yet, but Khaled himself is expected to play a number of DJ sets during the cruise, which will set sail from Miami to the Bahamas on June 28, returning to Florida on July 1.

Further acts are set to be announced shortly and they’re sure to be impressive; When Khaled hosted his first at-sea festival back in 2017, he brought along some huge names including Future and Lil Wayne. “The cruise will offer fans to get up-close-and-personal with their favorite artists, and will offer a variety of parties and activities, including meet-n-greets, comedy shows, panels, and nightlife,” the organizers said about the upcoming event.

Cardi B is going to play a string of European days right after her Days of Summer 2019 performance, kicking off her tour with a show in Belgium on June 30.

Speaking of Cardi and DJ Khaled, Asahd’s father recently teased that he has an “anthem” with the Bronx rapper on the way, building excitement for the track with a clip of them together on what looks to be the the set for the song’s music video.

Dapper Dan wasted no time meeting with folks at Gucci to get some answers and hold them accountable for the ridiculous racist sweater they designed mocking Black people’s features.The Harlem Designer, who has collaborated with the brand many times over the years, took to Instagram to discuss what went down when he met with them.

“It’s time now for Gucci to announce how they plan to make amends for what they did. We had some of the best minds from the corporate world participating. 90% of them people of color. “They made great demands”It’s time for Gucci to answer.That is supposed to happen today. I will be announcing a town hall meeting in Harlem for us to talk about how we feel about what they proposed.”

Will these meetings stop folk in the fashion industry from using racist imagery in their designs, though?

Contrary to Lindsay’s angst, Dina says that CBB was actually an amazing experience for her. She also insists that her  boyfriend of five years, whom she’s never met in person, is real and plans on moving to New York to be closer to Dina.

This ain’t ya Mama’s Motown! L.A. based sibling act JAMESDAVIS released their music video for latest single “Evergreen” today. The song remains a standout from the group’s 2018 EP, Lamplighter Vol. 1 [Motown], available now. Get it HERE.

The video follows the trio as they perform their set on a downtown Los Angeles rooftop for an intimate night-time gig.

JAMESDAVIS is a Los Angeles-based band comprised of fraternal twins Jess & Rey, and their younger brother, Auston. In addition to singing and songwriting the siblings also play instruments—piano, guitar and Maschine to name a few. They’ve performed and captivated audiences of all sizes—from small clubs and lounges to the large stages across the U.S.

Florida Rapper YNW Melly Arrested For Murdering His Friends, Staged The Scene To Resemble A Drive-By

Up and coming Florida rapper YNW Melly has been arrested for shooting two of his friends and  assisting band mate YNW Bortlen to make the scene look like a drive-by shooting.

According to Miramar police, Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, shot 19-year old Christopher Thomas J and 21-year old Anthony Williams — who went by the stage names YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser — on October 26, 2018 and Bortlen, real name Cortlen Henry, helped Demons stage the crime to look like a drive-by shooting.

Demons and Henry have both been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Henry was also charged with two counts of accessory.

Bill Cosby’s Spokesman Says The 81-Year Old Feels No Remorse Because He ‘Did Nothing Wrong’ [Video]

Apparently, facing 10 years in prison doesn’t scare Bill Cosby at all, because the 81-year old revealed that he doesn’t feel sorry at all about being imprisoned for sexual assault. In an an interview with NBC 10, Cosby’s press spokesman, Andrew Wyatt, revealed that the comedian said:

“My political beliefs, my actions of trying to humanize all races, genders and religions landed me in this place surrounded by barb wire fencing, a room made of steel and iron.”

Wyatt added:

“When I visit him it’s nothing sad about it. He’s not sad, he’s not remorseful because he did nothing wrong.”

Prime Time Sports Shuts Down After Removing Nike Merch To Protest Kaepernick

Whew, chile, the karma. This story is some of the sweetest revenge a white man has ever fallen victim to.

According to KOAA, the owner of Prime Time Sports in Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Stephen Martin, has been forced to close the doors for good after 20 years in business. Apparently, Martin was so outraged by Nike’s decision to align themselves with a kneeling Colin Kaepernick that he decided to pull all the Nike product from his shelves.No hats, no socks, no t-shirts, but most importantly, no jerseys.

Martin used to carry the official team merchandise for all 32 NFL teams and was the only place in a significantly large area with such a product.

“Being a sports store without Nike is kind of like being a milk store without milk or a gas station without gas. How do you do it? They have a monopoly on jerseys,” said Martin.

You taste that? The sweet flavor of comeuppance…mmmm, just like grandmama use to make. But if you think that quote is delicious, lay your eyes on this soup cookie cobbler:

“As much as I hate to admit this, perhaps there are more Brandon Marshall and Colin Kaepernick supporters out there than I realized,” said Martin.

ICE Drops Aggravated Felony Charge Against 21 Savage

Good news keeps coming a certain Slaughter Gang rapper’s way. 21 Savage walked out of an ICE detention center today with better news than just his freedom.

Buzzfeed News reports that US government attorneys dropped an “aggravated felony” charge as grounds to deport him.

The news org adds that ICE attorneys bring civil, rather than criminal, violations of immigration law in immigration court as means to deport immigrants, based on each individual’s background and cite speaking with his attorney Charles Kuck, managing partner of Kuck Baxter Immigration Partners LLC.

“I think this case is emblematic of a lot of cases where people are detained for not correct reasons, but they don’t always have resources to fight the system,” Kuck told BuzzFeed. “This case is very emblematic of what happens in immigration court and detention.”

21 is still facing deportation but on the basis that he emigrated from the United Kingdom at the age of 7 and overstayed his visa. Once again, a LOT of good things have happened for 21 ever since Jay Z hired legal representation to assist in 21’s release. 

Happy for you 21, we hope you beat this case and can stay in the U.S. where you belong.
