Karlie Redd’s Fiancé Reportedly Calls Off Engagement

Karlie Redd’s a single woman—at least according to her (now ex) fiancé.

The #LHHATL star who’s been engaged to Arkansas businessman Mo Fayne since July 2018 is in the middle of a scandal after fans sent Mo an Instagram Live between Karlie and rapper MoneyBagg Yo.

In it, Karlie, 45, seemingly flirts with the rapper who encourages her to come to visit him at his Washington D.C. concert.

That caused Mo to go OFF and announce their split on Instagram.

“When someone accuses you of doing something you’re not doing, it’s usually because they’re the ones doing it,” wrote a since-deleted post on Mo Fayne’s page.

“Big facts!!! he added in the caption. “Thanks for sending me that live feed…I’m officially SINGLE‼️. … Please don’t ask me about my ex, slander her name, or mention her to me…even though we are no longer together…I will always have love and respect for her….it’s very simple, we tried and we tried hard it didn’t work! Wish her the best!!! #single #nodisrespect #wishyouthebest.”

Ooop!

As for Karlie, she’s been remaining mum on their alleged split. Instead, she shared a video of herself beginning IVF treatments and hinted to fans that she might be having a baby with someone else.

“#BabyBoy 🙏🏽❤️ Keep Watching 👀 To See What’s About To Happen!” she wrote. “When Everything Comes Out Ladies U will Be Proud Of Me #BabiesAreBlessings #SilenceIsGolden 🙏🏽.”

“Doesn’t have to be with him ❤️,” she also told a fan in her comments section.

This whole breakup seems messy—-do you REALLY think it’s a wrap between Karlie Redd and her fiance???

Cardi B Files To Own The Name “Bocktails With Cardi B”

Cardi B wants in on those television checks again, it seems like. According to a TMZ report, she’s just filed legal docs staking her claim. She’s recently filed documents to own the name “Bocktails With Cardi B.” In the trademark documents, she’s laying claim to “entertainment services in the nature of providing ongoing episodes for distribution via television and the Internet featuring celebrities and artists.”

Hmm, sounds a lot like FYI’s “Kocktails With Khloe“. Remember that short-lived show?

Cardi B, however, wants more than a show with the name, “Bocktails with Cardi B.” She’s asking for exclusivity on clothing, including shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, hats, caps, footwear, skirts, dresses, blouses, sweaters, pants, and shorts.

Sounds like it’s gonna be LIT. Will you be watching???

Angela Bassett Receives And Honorary Degree During The Morehouse College 135th Commencement

Jadelle Beverly Hills To Gift Morehouse Graduates Custom Cufflinks

After Robert F. Smith made it rain student loan money on Morehouse’s class of 2019, Jadelle Beverly Hills reportedly has plans to ice the young graduates out to commemorate the occasion.

“Sources connected to the billionaire couple tell TMZ … Hope Dworaczyk Smith was contacted by Jadelle Beverly Hills about creating a custom pair of cufflinks for the 396 graduates. We’re told the jewelers plan to make something that includes gold, silver, diamonds, the school name and, perhaps most importantly … the Smith family name,” TMZ states.

“The jewelers at Jadelle are producing the cufflinks for Morehouse’s class of 2019 on their own, and the Smiths will not be involved. We’re told Hope was contacted, but only to request a family logo Jadelle wanted to include in the design,” the site reported in an update.

It seems unreal that the late, great Notorious B.I.G. has been out of our lives for over 20 years now. Today would’ve been Big’s 47th birthday, and needless to say, he’s still one of the most revered artists in hip hop and music history, period. It’s almost magical how much he accomplished in such a short amount of time in the industry.

@FemaleHipHop: He released 2 classic albums & he made “Junior Mafia” successful. Lil Kim was one of the artist that biggie took under his wing & she is now one of the greatest female rappers of all time

But what people remember most about the Brooklyn legend is that he was one hell of an emcee.

@MissyElliott: Biggie Smalls was way ahead of his time! He made us visualize what he rhymed about! He is a rare breed emcee! Only 1 Biggie!

@mackwilds: Yo, R.I.P. to one of the best who’s ever done it, Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace. Bumpin’ Biggie all day!!!!!

Biggie’s lyrics and flow were such a cultural force that fans young and old still bump his music like it just dropped this week. The Brooklyn legend did so much during his short time in the rap game that he’s probably your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper and definitely an all-time great in any debate. In a 2015 Pusha T wrote an Op-Ed for Rolling Stone expressing his love and respect for the Notorious one:

“I believe the Notorious B.I.G. was the greatest rapper who’s ever lived. I remember in ’94, when Ready to Die came out, I was in 11th grade, living in my mother’s house in Virginia. There was a frenzy at my high school, arguing and talking about that album. We used to spend hours in the car, reciting his raps, trying to figure out what in the hell made him veer off in this way or that way. Some rappers just say a punchline, and it’s like, “OK, we get it.” But Big delved deep. He was a master painter with words. And his flow was just so effortless. I mean, I think I’m an awesome writer, but my bars still sound like bars. Big had all these intricacies, all these colors, all these witty things – and it didn’t sound like a rap. It was a conversation.”

To honor Biggie on what would be his 47th trip around the sun, join us in acknowledging some of the greatest bars Christopher Wallace ever spit.

Transgender Woman Michelle Washington Killed

This has to stop.

Michelle Washington, a black trans woman from Philadelphia, was shot and killed May 19 in Philadelphia. The news comes from The Human Rights Campaign and local news stations who say that Washington, also known as Michelle Simone, was the victim of a shooting in Philadelphia’s Franklinville neighborhood.

ABC 6 reports that just after 5 a.m. on Sunday, she was shot in the head, body, and buttocks and was transported to Temple University Hospital where she died.

Deja Lynn Alvarez, Philadelphia City Council at-large candidate, knew Michelle for over 20 years and spoke out about her death on Facebook.

“It’s very important that we stress that because we’re not seeing LGB people murdered every other day,” Alvarez later told The Philadelphia Gay News. “It’s time that we say this is happening to trans women, it’s happening to black trans women, it’s happening to trans women of color. …It’s time that we shift the focus to that.”

Simone’s shocking death comes just a day after Muhlaysia Booker was fatally shot in Dallas. Before that, another transwoman, Claire Legato, was murdered in Cleveland. Legato was shot in the head by a man during an argument over tax return checks.

This is all incredibly sad, we pray all of these womens’ families get justice.

Florida Great-Grandmother Files Lawsuit Over CBD Arrest

A Florida great-grandmother wants an apology and compensation after she says she was unfairly arrested.
69-year-old Hester Jordan Burkhalter was charged with felony possession of hashish after a Disney World security guard found a bottle labeled “select CBD” in her purse on April 15, according to an arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Mind you Hester takes CBD oil as directed by her doctor for arthritis.

After the Disney incident, the charges were dropped against her but Hester says that’s not enough. She’s now being represented by Trayvon Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump who recently filed a lawsuit on her behalf.

The Associated Press reports that Crump said that Disney World and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office “need to take responsibility for their actions.” He’s since filed a suit claiming that Hester’s civil rights were violated.

Oop!

Did they REALLY have to arrest that lady for CBD oil???

Earvin "Magic" Johnson Steps Down As Lakers President Of Basketball Operations

Magic Johnson Exposes Betrayal That Made Him Quit Lakers Job

If you’re reading this story on BOSSIP we’re going to assume you’ve seen New Jack City where Nino Brown takes the stand and lie-snitches on “the lightskinned brotha from Uptown” as the “real” head of his CMB criminal cabal.

Today, Magic Johnson performed his own version of that classic scene.

As you know, the Lakers legend made an abrupt exit from his gig last month and this morning he sat down with Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman, and Molly Qerim on ESPN’s First Take to air out ALL the dirtiest laundry.

[embedded content]

Oh, but there was MUCH more. Magic also addressed LeBron James’ reaction to his sudden departure.

[embedded content]

Magic ultimately still loves the Lakers and wants to own the team one day.

[embedded content]

We never expected Magic to put people on blast like this, but we get it. Sounds like the Lakers have a LOT of cleaning up to do before they get back to their Championship legacy.

The reactions to Magic’s explosive interview are hilarious. Flip the page for a great laugh.

Bank Sued Queen Of Hip Hop Soul Over Mortgage Debts

Mary J. Blige has scored a victory in a case accusing her of not paying the mortgage on her $2 million mortgage on her New Jersey mansion, BOSSIP has learned.

Apex Bank has abruptly abandoned a foreclosure suit against the “No More Drama” singer after accusing her of not paying the house’s bills in months.

Last year, we exclusively revealed that the bank sued Blige and her now ex-husband, Kendu Isaacs, alleging that they defaulted on a $2 million mortgage. Blige bought that home back in 2001, and the 6,100 square foot home has six bedrooms, a master suite on its own private floor and sits on an acre lot.

On May 17, the court clerk threw the case out because Apex Bank refused to move forward with litigating it, court records obtained by BOSSIP show. The case was dismissed without prejudice, meaning that the bank can refile the suit against Blige in the future.

The move likely means that MJB and the bank came to an out of court settlement over the debt.

It’s the second time in less than a year that Blige has been let off the hook in a foreclosure case against her, according to court records. Last year, the bank sued her and Isaacs for not paying the mortgage on her $12 million estate a few towns over, but dropped that case as well.

Although Blige can put those cases behind her, she is still having to deal with legal woes stemming from her alleged housing choices. We exclusively revealed that a judge has allowed a Beverly Hills landlord’s case against her and Isaacs to continue in order to recover nearly $60,000 in back rent and fees.
