Megan Thee Stallion Named Apple Music “Up Next” Artist

Our unmitigated favorite hot girl Megan Thee Stallion has picked up another accolade. Just days after rocking Atlanta’s Birthday Bash, Megan is Apple Music’s latest Up Next Artist.

In the exclusive Apple Music Up Next short shot entirely on iPhone XS and available on June 25, Megan talks about her early days of touring and how she took to throwing house parties for small groups of fans, allowing her “Hotties” intimate, extended access to her and her inner circle.

“I love going to each city and getting to hug them and talk to them and twerk with them,” she says. “Drive the boat with them.” 

Fans can watch her talk about the transition from local phenom to bona fide rap star in the exclusive Apple Music Up Next short and listen to her conversation with Beats 1’s Nadeska, where they talk about growing up in Houston, what inspired her to rap, and working with Megan’s longtime hero Juicy J.

I have to admit I was skeptical about Zendaya playing a drug-addicted teenager in HBO’s latest series Euphoria, but one episode in and she’s already got me hooked. No pun intended.

We’re used to seeing Zendaya play safer roles (like Michelle in the Spider-Man film series) and even when I think back to the actress’ slight badassery on The OA, it didn’t exactly set the precedent for a role as difficult and complex as Euphoria’s Rue Bennett.

The show is so deep, in fact, Zendaya issued a warning to anyone who might be thinking about tuning in.

“It’s a raw and honest portrayal of addiction, anxiety, and the difficulties of navigating life today. There are scenes that are graphic, hard to watch and can be triggering. Please only watch if you feel you can handle it. Do what’s best for you. I will still love you and feel your support,” Zendaya told her Instagram followers.

I second that motion.

Like Zen said, Euphoria kicks off as a completely unfiltered look at how young people are navigating life while dealing with the stress of mental illness, technology, addiction, and sexuality. If you can’t handle an authentic take on what life is really like for young people today, we suggest you put this one on your ‘To Watch’ list until you feel you can.

From where I’m watching, however, this is definitely the young superstar’s most impactful on-screen moment yet.

Football Player “He Hate Me” Missing

Some of you may remember the electrifying football player known by many as “He Hate Me”. Rod Smart spend years in the both the NFL and XFL running by defenders and juking them out of their cleats.

Sadly, the NYPost is reporting that Smart is currently missing. He was last seen last Wednesday in Indian Land, South Carolina.

“It is unusual for him to be out of touch for this long,” deputies wrote in a missing person advisory. “Mr. Smart’s family is worried about his safety and well-being.”

We’re actually very shocked to hear this and we hope that nothing terrible has happened to Rod.

Doctors Find Foot-Long Worm In Woman’s Intestines

If the terrifying tales of folks getting poisoned in the DR and Mexico don’t frighten you enough to watch what you eat and drink, maybe this 41-year old woman’s 10-year long stomach ache will remind you to be more cautious. Ms. Yang has reportedly been suffering from severe stomach pains since 2009, but doctors could never figure out why. She sought the help of numerous physicians over the years, but to no avail.

Yang told reporters:

“It would hurt on and off at first. It’s not always unbearable, but I would feel obvious discomfort in my stomach.”

After meeting China-based Doctor Li Juan, who advised her to have an endoscopy, they found the shocking culprit to Yang’s excruciating stomach pains.

“Experts at the Second People’s Hospital of Haining in east China discovered the giant roundworm on Friday.The fat white worm, measuring 12 inches in length, was writhing inside the woman’s intestines, which appeared to have the “ideal conditions” to sustain its growth, the medic said. Doctor Li grasped the parasite’s big head with a pair of raptor forceps and yanked the entire length of the roundworm out via the endoscopy incision.”

But how did she wound up with a worm inside of her in the first place? Ms Yang revealed she grew up drinking unboiled water, which is thought to be a contributing factor to her Ascariasis. See the shocking video above.
