Mo'Nique

Despite Mo’Nique‘s long career in entertainment, it seems her big name fights have been getting the most attention recently.

Of course, there was the time she challenged people to boycott Netflix for gender bias and racial bias when they offered her a bad deal compared to white and male comedians. Then there was the time she called out Lee Daniels, Oprah and Tyler Perry for either portraying her as difficult or not defending her when faced with opposition from the industry.

With each instance, other celebs have given their opinion on the situation including Whoopi Goldberg, who said she could’ve “schooled” Mo’Nique on the way the business works. Mo’Nique responded in a Vulture interview, saying “what you’re saying to me is, ‘you must work for free. I could’ve schooled you.’” Then, Mo’Nique went even further and said she spoke with Whoopi backstage and said “I gotta think about the little sister who’s not here yet,” to which Whoopi allegedly responded, “You better stop worrying about the little sister who’s not here yet and worry about you.”

Mo’Nique explained how hurt she was about the situation in a new video with Comedy Hype. She tearfully started off by explaining how it was women like Patti LaBelle and former Essence editor-in-chief Susan Taylor who inspired her to advocate for herself and her community. Then she continued:

“So when I get Whoopi Goldberg on the flip saying, ‘fu** them little ones coming behind you, you better give a damn about you,’ that crushed me that day in her dressing room because see Whoopi Golderg told me the salary she makes from The View and that hurt my feelings that you’ve been there for ten years and you accept them paying you that and you telling me ‘don’t worry about the little one coming up?’ Goddamn if I ain’t gotta be worried about you too. Because you accept that salary, it makes it hard for me, and how hard do you think it’s going to make for the one who ain’t here yet because you accept that salary?”

The comedian, per usual, has a point.

Peep the video for yourself below as the Mo’Nique vs. the world saga continues.

R. Kelly Back In Court For Aggravated Sexual Abuse Charges

R. Kelly Accused Of Sexually Abusing School Girls For Years

Lawyers for R. Kelly have objected to sealing evidence in his child pornography case, BOSSIP has learned.

In a motion before Judge Harry Leinenweber, U.S. attorney John Lausch asked for a protective order on all discovery – or evidence – in the case, arguing that it includes “sensitive information” that if made public would potentially compromise law enforcement investigations and victims’ privacy.

However, Lausch said that Kelly’s legal team doesn’t agree with certain aspects of the protective order, however, the prosecutor didn’t detail which portions that they took issue with.

Kelly has been behind bars for the last two weeks after the feds arrested and charged him with making and distributing child pornography. He has pled not guilty. And in a separate case, the feds accused Kelly of being the head of a criminal enterprise that funneled school girls to him from around the country to be sexually abused. He is expected to be arraigned on that case in September.

Donald Glover Vs. Jamie Foxx Is Blowing Up Twitter

There’s some crackish headassery afoot on Twitter that started when uncultured swine compared incredibly talented multi-threat Donald Glover to THEE Jamie Foxx (and even suggested Glover was more talented) in a genuinely P E R P L E X I N G moment in WTFery that stirred up never-ending chaos across the whole entire internet.

Peep the hilarious hysteria over Donald Glover vs. Jamie Foxx on the flip.

The artist-producer has an affinity for Oreos dunked in Capri Suns (??), she has a history with Takis Fuego, and she gives out some hot tips when it comes to eating Pirate’s Booty Snack Puffs (the aged white cheddar variety).

She also reveals what her Death Row meal would consist of lobster rolls and a burger with a specific kind of cheese.

Tyra Banks Talks Investing, “Next Top Model” And Naomi Campbell

Tyra Banks retreads some old territory and new ground in a recent interview that visits both her success as co-creator of “America’s Next Top Model” as well as being tested in her early career by one of her very own inspirations — Naomi Campbell. Watch the interview below. The Naomi part comes in at around the 11 minute mark.

[embedded content]

“It wasn’t a rivalry,” Banks told the Wall Street Journal. “And I’m very sensitive to that word because a rivalry is with two equals to me, where one was very dominant. She was a supermodel and I was just some new girl that got on a plane from Paris and was studying fashion in magazines at a fashion library.”

“I had a very painful early days in Paris. As much as I was booking every single fashion show, people didn’t know I was going home at night crying my eyes out because a woman I was looking up to seemed like she just didn’t want me to be there,” Banks said. “And was doing everything in her power to make me go away.”

She continued, “I didn’t understand that as a young girl, like why is she doing this? This is so evil. This is so awful. The adult me understands that she was reacting to an industry that was all about a token. When I came on the scene, ‘Naomi look out, there’s another Black girl that’s going to take your spot.’”

Banks and Campbell famously made their peace back in 2005 on Tyra’s talk show. Tyra seems like she let Naomi kinda off the hook for her personal behavior with that token excuse. Would you do the same? Do you think she should be done talking about this issue or is it her story to tell as many times as she wants?

Doc Gooden Arrested For DUI In New Jersey

Doc Gooden has a long history of struggles with drugs and alcohol and despite years of battling, he just doesn’t seem to be able to get a hold on his demons.

According to NYPost, Gooden was arrested for DUI on Monday in New Jersey when officers caught him driving the wrong direction down a 1-way street.

“He pissed himself. He was clearly buzzed, really kind of f–ked up,” said an Essex County law enforcement source.

Still, Gooden, who lives in Piscataway, “was cooperative and polite,” the source said.

A few weeks ago Doc was popped for possession of cocaine.

We hope he can get it together before something really bad happens.

The photos are causing backlash from fans because Fuqua’s been legally married to “Waiting To Exhale” actress Lela Rochon for over TWENTY years.

Odell Beckham Jr.

Source: Splash News / Splash News

Odell Beckham Jr. has definitely made his share of headlines over the course of his football career, and now the 26-year-old is addressing the public in one of his most intimate interviews yet.

Beckham spoke with GQ to talk about his recent trade from the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns, and he also responded to a lot of misconceptions about him during his five plus years in the public spotlight. One thing he addressed was the privacy of his dating life:

“You never hear about my personal life. You never hear about the woman I’m dating or anything like that. And you won’t. I don’t need to give you that. You want to talk about my job, football? We can talk about that. But this is my personal life. There’s two separate lines. So I always try to keep that.”

That’s not all Odell addressed. He also talked about the shifty business of football, his feelings on being perceived as gay, and his plans after the NFL. Hit the flip for some of his most revealing quotes.
