Gavel and Police Badge

Source: Michael Burrell / Getty

Police officers are so committed to violence and impropriety that they will maim and permanently injure their own brothers in blue. Such was the case for a Black recruit to the Denver Police Department named Victor Moses.

Moses was going through the gauntlet of exercises required to become a police officer in Denver. According to USA Today, he was forced to participate in a “brutal hazing” called “Fight Day” by department officials and even some local paramedics. As a result of this abuse, which included hitting his head and passing out twice, Moses would also have to have both of his legs amputated.

On Jan. 6, 2023, Moses was participating in a drill designed to teach officers how to escalate and de-escalate force based on the situation. During one of these stationed drills, Moses hit his head and collapsed, USA Today reports.

He complained that he was having severe cramping in his legs and paramedics found that his blood pressure was extremely low. Despite this, Moses was forced to his feet and pushed to continue competing. In the following station, Moses was “attacked” by a fellow officer and eventually became unresponsive again before being taken to the hospital.

“I felt something I’ve never felt before,” Moses told USA Today, which noted that the cramping was a “sign of distress” in people with sickle cell trait, something Moses said he informed the department of.

“It’s really hard to explain, like, how it feels like to die, and I’ve never had that, but I felt what death feels like.”

Moses would spend the next four months in the hospital recovering from his dual amputation and trying to recover from prescribed drug use.

“When they started weaning down on the drugs, I felt, ‘Why am I still here? Why am I not home, what’s going on?’” Moses said. “You’re just in pain, your parents are there for some reason and it was just living hell. It really became real to me when my classmates were visiting me and started explaining what happened and then you see your rotting body.”

The lawsuit that was filed against the department includes text messages from multiple recruits who witnessed how Moses was treated and more importantly, not treated. It stands to reason that they will all be testifying against the department.

Inexplicably, Moses says he still fully supports police officers and says he would like to return to the career path someday.

“I will always support the police. There’s so many good police officers out there,” Moses said. “Yes, my life was ruined, I was turned permanently disabled. But it doesn’t negate the fact that there are a lot of good cops out there. It’s just unfortunate when the actions of a bad police officer, in this case, a group of bad officers, overshadows their work.”

Maybe they need to run more tests to see if this brotha’s head is ok…

No matter what’s going on in the world, some things never change–like Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s longtime feud, and fans fueling the flames of it.

Cardi x Nicki

Source: John Nacion/ Rodin Eckenroth/WireImage / Getty

After announcing her pregnancy and filing for divorce on the same day, Cardi is being accused of multi-tasking even more by throwing some Nicki shade into her maternity shoot.

On Sunday, September 1, the rapper took to Instagram to share not only photos from a new maternity shoot but a tiny peek at her latest ultrasound.

In the first two slides, Cardi is wearing a bra top and matching boots that go all the way up her thigh, adding a bright blue moto jacket on top. Keeping her growing belly uncovered, she posed on a motorcycle in front of a graffiti wall in her native New York City while showing off her bump.

But, despite the stunning flicks, many fans couldn’t help but focus on what the graffiti behind her actually said, with thin white writing right being Cardi’s head reading, “PEDOPHILE.”

“Soo am i the only one who read what the wall says?” one fan asked.

“Having the word “pedohile” in your maternity shoot is so weird,” another wrote.

In the replies to these questions, some folks started to theorize that the Love & Hip Hop alum posed by that word on purpose, trying to send a message to Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty. The rapper’s husband is a registered sex offender, which came after being convicted of attempted rape in the first degree in 1995 for assaulting a then-16-year-old girl.

Once rumors of these subliminals made it to X, Cardi caught wind of the conversation, replying to one fan who insisted, “It’s a little weird to have a term like [that] in the background for a maternity shoot, don’t you think?”

“First of all we literally picked a random street because paparazzi was hounding us everywhere,” the rapper began in her reply. “This was supposed to be my original first picture and we had to edit the photos in minutes because the shoot got leaked. Didn’t even have time to go over every detail because people were busy trying to expose my pregnancy as ‘aha’ moment.”

Cardi continued, “Second I’m ALWAYS with the s**ts but I’m not using MY MATERNITY shoot to be funny. Are you dumb??”

When another fan insisted Cardi was making excuses, pointing out that big stars have whole teams to avoid stuff like this, the rapper posted screenshots to prove the graffiti was simply an oversight.

“A team?? B*ch my makeup artist touched up the picture because we didn’t have time for all that, it says the date and nobody was paying attention to the graffiti.”

Cardi Recently Reunited With Her Estranged Husband Offset For Their Son’s Birthday

In other Cardi news, the star recently reunited with her estranged husband Offset for their son Wave Set’s third birthday on Saturday, August 31.

Even amid their divorce, things seemed to be all smiles while celebrating their little one. After sharing a couple of snaps of herself, Cardi went on to post a video of Wave dancing with his dad during the party.

In the adorable clip, Offset and his son matched in jeans and Timberlands, dancing as the Migos rapper hyped Wave up. In the end, Offset smiled and swept the 3-year-old up off the ground and into his arms.

Despite Cardi filing for divorce for the second time in their seven-year marriage, the former couple seem more than happy to put on a good front for their kids. Together, the pair also share a daughter Kulture Kiari, 6. Offset is also dad to sons Jordan, 14, and Kody, 9, and daughter Kalea Marie, 9, from previous relationships.

50 cent - Invest Fest 2024

It costs to be the boss, but for 50 Cent it’s no big deal. The G-Unit head recently revealed that he’s spent over $24 million in legal fees during his tenured career.

50 Cent has evolved from an up-and-coming rapper signed by Dr. Dre to a multi-faceted, relentlessly petty mega mogul. Over the years, we’ve come to adore Fif, who doesn’t play about his money especially if he has to get his top-tier legal team involved.

While recently speaking to Wallo and Gillie on Million Dollaz Worth Of Game, 50 spoke candidly about the shocking amount he pays his lawyers.

“I’ll do it for recreational purposes,” he explained at the 27:00 minute mark, “When they agitate me, I’ll send the f**kin’ lawyers.”

On Instagram, 50 is always in a back-and-forth with someone, and Wallo asked him to explain just how much he’s spent on legal fees.

“Twenty-four million in my career so far. I can’t wait till I get rich. Just on lawyers.” He then repeated himself, “I’ve spent $24 million in my career on legal fees.”

Considering 50’s Vitamin Water deal and hit shows, he’s got way more cash to give his lawyers. If you ever needed a sign to stay on 50’s good side, this is it.

MANHATTAN, NY - MAY 23 : Former President Donald Trump greets

Source: The Washington Post / Getty

Donald Trump is at it again. The former president hit the campaign trail hard on Friday, stirring up his usual brand of controversy at a rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Among the regular opening acts that warm up the crowd before Trump’s main event, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) took center stage.

Donalds, who has been making the rounds as one of Trump’s most prominent Black supporters, used his “black job” to introduce the ex-president with all the expected fanfare.

However, it was Trump’s remarks that really got people talking—and not in a good way. According to Mediaite, Trump called out Donalds from the crowd during his speech dubbed him“a smart one” and doubled down with the phrase; “You have smart ones and ones that aren’t quite so good.” The statement left many in the audience scratching their heads.

Trump didn’t clarify who or what he was referring to with his use of “ones,” but it didn’t take long for folks to catch the racial undertones.

We know exactly who he’s talking about, and that is not only absurd—it’s disgusting.

But what would you expect from a #MAGAMaggot?

From “My African American” To “Smart Ones”—Trump’s Track Record With Black Voters

If this feels like déjà vu, you’re not alone. Trump’s recent remarks about Donalds are eerily reminiscent of his infamous “my African American” comment back in 2016. That was the rally where he pointed out Gregory Cheadle from the stage and claimed him as his own.

Fast forward to 2024, and it seems Trump refuses to avoid racial stereotypes.

In fact, Trump’s comments are just the latest in a string of statements that critics say play into anti-Black tropes. Whether he’s talking about criminal convictions or who he thinks is “smart,” Trump has a history of using language that, intentionally or not, often comes off as patronizing or worse.

And while some of his supporters might “think it’s funny” or brush it off as “Trump being Trump,” others see it as yet another sign that the former president is out of touch with and not for the Black community.

Donald Trump’s Trifling Track Record Of Hollow And Stereotypical Appeals To Black Voters

Former President Donald Trump Surrenders To Fulton County Jail In Election Case

Source: Handout / Getty

It’s not the first time Trump has tried to highlight his Black supporters in a way that feels more performative than sincere:

1. “My African American” Comment (2016): Trump referred to a Black supporter as “my African American” at a rally, criticized as tokenizing.

2. Diamond and Silk: Trump frequently praised Black commentators Diamond and Silk as symbols of his diverse support base.

3. Ben Carson’s Appointment: Trump appointed Ben Carson as HUD Secretary, spotlighted as a Black supporter with little experience in housing.

4. Black Voices for Trump: Launched for re-election, criticized as more optics than outreach.

5. Pardon of Jack Johnson: Trump pardoned the first Black heavyweight champion, seen as an appeal to Black voters.

6. Detroit Church Visit (2016): Trump’s visit to a Black church, seen as superficial outreach.

7. Support for HBCUs: Trump’s funding for HBCUs is often framed as personal benevolence rather than genuine engagement.

8. Kanye West’s White House Visit: Trump’s public support for Kanye West, despite controversies, seen as leveraging fame.

9. Frederick Douglass Remarks: Trump’s comments during Black History Month on Frederick Douglass “being recognized more and more” suggested a lack of understanding, seen as a shallow gesture.

10. Byron Donalds at 2024 Rallies: Trump’s “smart one” comment about Rep. Byron Donalds sparked criticism for tokenization.

11. Support for Herschel Walker (2022): Trump’s promotion of Herschel Walker’s Senate run was viewed as leveraging celebrity over qualifications.

12. Kanye West’s 2022 Public Appearances: Trump continued to praise Kanye West despite controversies, seen as using West’s fame for political gain.

13. Black Unemployment Figures (2023-2024): Trump often emphasized Black unemployment rates under his administration as a reason for Black voters to support him.

14. Trump claiming the mugshot from his RICO case for alleged election tampering in 2020 and 34 felony convictions in his hush-money case makes him more relatable to Black voters, invoking racist stereotypes of inherent criminality.

15. Trump releases gaudy golden high-tops during Black History Month because “they love sneakers.”

What a horrible trip down memory lane. These are just a few examples; the list goes on.

Byron Donalds: Trump’s “Superstar of the Future” or Just Another Token?

Former President Donald Trump Holds A Campaign Rally In Doral, Florida

Source: Joe Raedle / Getty

So where does this leave Byron Donalds? The Florida congressman has been riding high on Trump’s endorsement, with the former president even calling him a “superstar of the future” during the rally. Yet, with Trump’s latest remarks, many question whether Donalds received sincere praise or just conveniently became a sunken token to appeal to Black voters.

While Trump did say Donalds is “great” and “knows exactly what I’m talking about,” the praise was quickly overshadowed by the awkwardness of the “smart ones” comment.

For Donalds, who has steadily built his political career, the association with Trump could be a double-edged sword.

On one hand, he’s getting national attention and a platform to speak to a broader audience. On the other, he risks being pigeonholed as just another Black politician in Trump’s orbit, more famous for the color of his skin than his political acumen.

Please Remember This Ignorance At The Polls

Source: Chip Somodevilla / Getty

The 2024 election is closely approaching, and moments like this will only keep coming. No amount of backhanded bigoted compliments, token appointments, or PR stunts make Trump’s policies any better for Black people, especially the ones outside his tax bracket. And no rapper endorsement changes the fact that several top members of the Trump administration are 3reportedly leading Project 2025.

For Byron Donalds and other Black Republicans, the challenge will be navigating the fine line between gaining Trump’s favor and maintaining their own identity. Because in Trump’s world, being the “smart one” might come with more strings attached than they bargained for.

Drea Kelly may have some explaining to do after Creep Squad member Cisco Rosada set the record straight about their rumored relationship.

Cisco Rosado

Source: Michael Tullberg/ Paras Griffin / Getty

TheShadeRoom is reporting that despite Kelly claiming to have been in an 11-year relationship with Cisco, they’ve never dated and

You may recall the intimate video of Kelly and the Love and Hip Hop alum that included the dancer dressed in sheer lingerie as she poured Cisco a drink and rubbed his body. At the end of the video, it appeared that the two were kissing and the caption revealed their 11-year relationship.

“11 years ago… who knew? Here’s to 11 more and then some,” she wrote.

Many social media users reacted to the news in shock.

However, in a separate post a week later, the two seemingly doubled down on the relationship. This time, Cisco posted a video of Kelly revealing that she met him at NeNe’s wedding while he was still dating Jennifer Williams. In the video, the music producer stood beside her but appeared uncomfortable as Kelly spoke about their first interactions. Still, Kelly continued, stating that he was the “man he said he would be.”

“I would’ve never thought, 11 years ago, that that conversation we had — he is the man that he promised he would be.”

Elsewhere in the video, Cisco stated that she “had been there for him in the past” and called her “beautiful” further fueling relationship rumors.  His caption however was centered around his CBM Entertainment business and ended with “If you know you know!”

Cisco Says He Has Never Had Relations With Drea Kelly

Now Cisco’s clarifying that he’s not dating Kelly, and never was. In a video obtained by TheShadeRoom,  Cisco spoke out and said while he and Drea Kelly have a “lot of love and affection for each other,” there’s nothing there romantically.

“I’ve known her for a long time, beautiful woman, but right now, I want to focus on getting the kids’ projects started and just doing the right thing by them musically,” said Cisco.

When asked if the two have ever had a sexual relationship, Cisco said he never had relations with her.

“Nah. Beautiful woman, great body and all that, really sweet, but I try to just do the right thing,” he said.

TSR reports that Cisco’s manager also clarified that the clips were misunderstood and “taken out of context.”

Cisco’s manager says the contexts of the clips were misunderstood and that the duo have solely been longtime friends, having known one another for 11 years. The producer says he is currently focusing on producing music and working with the artists signed to the CBM label.

As you can imagine social media is NOT here for Cisco’s explanation.

One Instagram user commented under the post;”

“So friends wear lingerie and take photoshoots together?”

Another user chimed in and added;

“Those men claim you in the bedroom but not in public.”

“An 11 year situationship is crazy,” another user stated.

Aside from deleting the post of her in lingerie, Drea Kelly has not addressed Cisco’s statements.

Did YOU think that Cisco and Drea Kelly were dating?

Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ legal troubles are far from finished after federal prosecutors issued a subpoena naming the mogul and Daphne Joy in a sex trafficking investigation.

Things may have seemed somewhat quiet for the embattled Bad Boy founder, but the feds were staying low and building a case for the grand jury. TMZ reports prosecutors from the Southern District of New York are looking into Diddy’s past with his alleged former fling Daphne Joy, and a Miami hotel.

Last week, Diddy and his legal team asked the judge to throw out the lawsuit from Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, which alleged drug and sex trafficking. The motion to dismiss called these claims, which also named Daphne, “blatant falsehoods” and “tall tales.” However, the feds are looking way deeper than the months Jones spent working with Diddy on his latest album.

Federal Prosecutors Name Diddy & Daphne Joy In Subpoena For Miami Hotel Records Since 2008

The subpoena requested nearly 30 years of details from the luxury Miami hotel about Diddy, Daphne, and his other associates. The probe covers “check-in and check-out dates, room numbers, guest preferences and requests, and billing information, including room service” since January 1, 2oo8, per TMZ. And that’s just the beginning.

Investigators also demanded copies of IDs, vehicle information, email and mailing addresses, phone numbers, computer IP addresses, payment records, and surveillance footage.

As BOSSIP previously reported, Homeland Security staged bi-coastal raids on Diddy’s Miami and Los Angeles homes in March. Sources claimed that law enforcement interviewed three women and a man with plans to interview three others about allegations of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms.

During the raids, agents searched for similar records to this new subpoena, including “photos, emails, texts, itineraries, hopefully names,” and “specific communications,” according to The New York Post.

Diddy’s attorney, Jonathan Davis, issued a statement to TMZ maintaining his innocence amid the investigation and eight civil lawsuits for alleged sexual assault and sex trafficking.

“No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judiciary process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail against these and other baseless claims in court,” Davis said.

Daphne Joy recently spoke out to deny the claims that she was a “sex worker” for Diddy, which his nemesis and her baby daddy, 50 Cent, relentlessly trolled them about. Her reps declined to comment on the subpoena to TMZ.

New Orleans legend Master P will be the Entertainment Ambassador for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans says Mayor Cantrell.

With the fall weather slowly approaching the United States we might as well start prepping 2025. One of the first big events of the year will be Super Bowl LIX. We have no clue who will headline the show, but it will go down in New Orleans.

The city is top-tier for food, culture, music, and much more and will be the main star of the show.

According to WWLTV, Mayor Cantrell has chosen Master P to promote the Super Bowl for the city as the ‘entertainment ambassador’.

“We are doing this through film, television and entertainment,” Master P said. “But we are also doing this through business because I want people to see what I was able to grow.” he continued. “I grew up in the projects in New Orleans and was able to change my life and educate myself. Get out there to see more. And I want more for the city of New Orleans,” he said.

Martin Lawrence took time during his Y’all Know What It Is! comedy tour to address speculations about his health.

Though he previously tried to lay the rumors to rest during his press run for Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Lawrence decided to work it into his set in the city where his iconic sitcom took place. On Friday, August 30, the comedian addressed the crowd at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit the way only he can.

“Motherfuckers talking about me and s**t,” he said. Talking about I had a stroke and s**t. Does this look like a motherf**ker that had a stroke?”

The 59-year-old performer then demonstrated some moves to prove he is as agile as ever.

“That look like a motherf**ker that had a stroke? I be strokin’,” he said. “Then they talking about I’m talking slow and lethargic and all that..I’m probably high.”

The rumors went into overdrive when Lawrence and Will Smith hit the road to promote the fourth installment of their blockbuster juggernaut as some fans noted the comedian seemed to be a step or two behind. During a stop at Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, Lawrence said,

“I’m fine. I’m in Gods hands. I’m blessed. I’m glad to be waking up everyday and everything. No need for people to be concerned.”

This isn’t the first time Lawrence has spoken to the idea of substances being the cause of odd behavior from the comedian. In his 2002 comedy special, Run Tell Dat, the performer opened up about drug and alcohol use that led to his arrest and hospitalization.

It seems that Lawrence is still always willing to tell it like it is when it comes to his personal life. Fans of the comedian can catch him on tour for the rest of the year into early 2025. We love to see our comedy legends still packing out arenas.

Ruby Freeman x Shaye Moss x Rudy Giuliani

Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss Aren’t Playing — They Want Their Money From Rudy Giuliani NOW

Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, the Georgia election workers who had to deal with all kinds of mess after Rudy Giuliani spread lies about them, are coming for what’s theirs. After winning a $140 million defamation lawsuit against Giuliani, they’re done waiting. The disrespected duo filed a court order to snatch up his assets, including his luxury condos, fancy watches, and even his Mercedes-Benz.

As BOSSIP previously reports, Giuliani admitted to spreading lies about them! So now, the journey for justice ramps up.

They’re Taking Everything — Even the Yankees Rings

Freeman and Moss demand that Giuliani hand over his New York condo, worth around $6 million, and his Palm Beach spot, valued at $3.5 million.

But that’s not all — they’re also coming for his collection of luxury watches, his Mercedes, and even his New York Yankees World Series rings. One of those rings alone potentially has a value of $30,000. According to Politico, these are two separately filed cases! Whew!

Guess how foul this sore loser is trying to play? Giuliani tried to play the bankruptcy card, but the judge wasn’t having it, and tossed his case out in July.

With that protection gone, Freeman and Moss are ready to collect. They refused to play Giuliani’s games and accused him of ducking and dodging throughout this ordeal.

BBC states that their lawyers made it clear in this court order: if Giuliani doesn’t cough up the goods in seven days, they’ll take more drastic measures.

Of course, Giuliani’s not happy. He’s appealing the defamation verdict and is now whining that Freeman and Moss are just trying to “harass and intimidate” him. According to BBC News, his spokesperson, Ted Goodman, fired off an email to Reuters.

It states, “The appeal of the $148 million verdict hasn’t even been heard yet, and they’re already coming for him.”

Coming for who? Let’s not forget that Giuliani’s lies put Freeman and Moss through hell.

Some background info: this all started because Giuliani falsely accused Freeman and Moss of messing with the 2020 election results.

His lies led to THEM being harassed AND threatened by people who bought into the nonsense.

BBC News states in December, a jury saw through his BS and hit him with the massive defamation judgment — $140 million, including over $16 million each for the emotional damage they suffered.

And don’t think this is the end for Giuliani. He’s still facing heavy legal drama, including nine felony charges related to a “fake elector” scheme in Arizona. Politico states that Giuliani and 17 others tried to declare Trump the winner of the 2020 election there, and now he’s paying the price. Cheaters never win!

Freeman and Moss aren’t backing down. This latest move shows they’re determined to get what’s owed to them — no more delays, no more excuses. Black women deserve justice, especially while they’re alive.

Whether Giuliani will hand over the goods or face even more trouble remains to be seen, but one thing’s certain: these ladies aren’t going anywhere.
