Spotify and Travis Scott take us behind the scenes of Atlanta’s exclusive “Days Before The Rodeo” 10th anniversary concert.

Travis Scott fans can jubilate after 10 long years because Days Before The Rodeo has hit streaming services. In an era where people normally won’t manually add music to their phones, this is a huge feat. For some listeners, they will hear some of Travis’ earliest music for the first time. To celebrate the moment Spotify teamed up with Travis to throw a concert in Atlanta.

Atlanta is essential to the project not only because of features like Young Thug & Rich Homie Quan but also because it’s where the project was recorded. “Days Before The Rodeo” is an essential piece of the early 2010’s turning of hip-hop.

According to a press release, Spotify released “Spotify Presents: Days Before Rodeo Concert Film” featuring an intimate look at making the album and the 10th anniversary show.

“I remember I worked on this album out here, I drove like a sprinter van,” he said. “Me and Bizzy, we came down to the A. I was working on this album and I told myself I’m gonna do this album fast and I want to put it out quick. And I wasn’t able to put it out officially, but I was like, ‘Yo, I gotta just get this out to the world.’ So shoutout to all the day ones that’s in this motherf–ker right now, ya dig!”

Spotify’s film features discussions with various Scott team members detailing his rise to the top of the hip-hop mountain. Aside from the archival footage and team interviews Scott also performs “Mamacita”, “Drugs, Don’t Play”, “Skyfall”, “Basement Freestyle,” and “Quintana Part,” at the concert.

Kim Porter‘s book has officially hit (digital) shelves, and everyone is scrambling to read it. The book Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side was released on Amazon just days before Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ arrest on human trafficking and racketeering. The tell-all book details Porter’s experience while in a relationship with the disgraced music mogul.

As BOSSIP reported, Combs was arrested on September 16, 2024. On September 17, the 14-page indictment detailing all of the Bad Boy founder’s alleged crimes was released. However, on September 6, days before his arrest, Porter’s book became available for sale on Amazon.

Though the book was published under the name Jamal T. Millwood, now that Diddy is behind bars, Chris Todd feels comfortable revealing his identity. Todd is a music producer who reportedly received the information for the book from a friend of Porter’s. According to Daily Mail, Todd claims Porter gave her close friends a flash drive with the manuscript on it before her death.

“This is a dangerous situation, and I didn’t want to claim ownership of Kim’s words. But now I’m willing to come forward because of the recent arrest of Sean Combs. Now [that] the federal government has finally acted, I feel safer to come forward,” Todd told the outlet.

Nearly two weeks after its release, the book shot to No. 1 on Amazon’s Bestsellers list. The memoir gives disturbing recounts of the abuse that Porter received. Nevertheless, Todd, who was named co-author of the book, lacks hard evidence of Porter’s experiences.

“I was lucky enough to meet someone that purported to have Kim Porter’s flash drive,” he told the media outlet. “I know the celebrity source pretty well. I know how close they were to Kim and Diddy, and all the people in the hip-hop community. This was supposedly for Kim Porter, from the grave, to come forward and tell her story,” Todd stated.

Kim died of a reported pneumonia in 2018. She was a mother of four, three of which she shared with Combs.

Diddy Is Put On Suicide Watch After Being Denied Bail

Before and after his arrest, Combs’ attorneys have been fighting for his release. Though he understands he must stand trial, Combs hoped to wait out the trial from home. With hopes of doing so, the father of seven offered $50 million bail. He also promised to refrain from having female visitors outside of his family, give up access to his phone and the internet, and leave witnesses alone. However, Judge Andre Carter, Jr. was not convinced.

“There is no condition or combination of conditions to ensure he will not obstruct justice or tamper with witnesses,” Judge Carter stated.

Combs’ request for bail was denied twice. He remains an inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center until further notice. Combs was placed on a routine suicide watch due to the high-profile nature of the case. His attorney states that while being on suicide watch, Combs is strong and preparing for trial.

“Mr. Combs is strong, healthy and focused on his defense. He is committed to fighting this case and has full confidence in both his legal team and the truth,” Marc Agnifilo said.

Even after facing several allegations and charges, Combs maintains his innocence and that his “lifestyle” is not a crime. A trial date has not been set.

Natasha Rothwell x Reesa Teesa

Insecure alum and How To Die Alone creator Natasha Rothwell felt a sisterly connection when she met TikTok sensation Reesa Teesa of the viral “Who TF Did I Marry?” series.

According to PEOPLE, the pair are set to adapt the 52-part social media hit into a TV series and Rothwell says she felt an instant camaraderie to both her story as well as who she was as a person.

“It was not her trauma that interested me and [made me] want to throw my hat in the ring, it was her — who she is as a person, how she survived all of it — and viral fame, how she’s surviving that,” she said. I was like, ‘Oh, now this is when I lean in.’”

After winning an intense bidding war for production rights, Rothwell was able to seal the deal on bringing Reesa Teesa‘s story to Hollywood and met up with her in person for the first time last month. She said the two felt “like twins” right from the start.

“We were just in such a mutual love bubble of just enjoying each other and understanding each other and learning about each other,” she said.

Though social media came to know Reesa Teesa through a riveting and insane story about her ex-husband, Rothwell promises to bring more to the table than what we’ve already heard.

“I’m definitely excited to approach her story in a 360 [degree] way and not just…retell the story we’ve all consumed,” she said. “I think she’s far more interesting than what has happened to her.”

In the meantime, Rothwell has her hands full after the premiere of How To Die Alone. The critically acclaimed Hulu series has everyone celebrating on her behalf. After making us fall in love with her as Kelly on Issa Rae’s Insecure and causing us all to root for her on HBO’s White Lotus, Rothwell is finally taking the lead role in a show that chronicles the loneliness and monotony of adulthood.

Harold Perrineau Hints At Tensions Ahead Between Boyd And Other ‘FROM’ Characters In Season 3

We spoke with Harold Perrineau about his character Boyd coming under even more intense pressure in the new season. With the town and its terrors showing an increasing amount of hatred for him, we asked how Boyd’s relationships with the other townspeople have been affected.

“The town is is really picking on him,” Perrineau told BOSSIP. “It’s like a bully, they’re just picking on him, like this whole thing and I think playing the character, it felt like at any time he could just explode in the middle of the street, just like a pile of blood. ‘Like wow, that’s it, it’s over.’”

‘It’s made his connection with one character in particular really explosive, but with some of the other characters it’s edgy. He’s like, ‘You don’t get in my way and I’m trying to get you home! Don’t make me beat you up to make you safe.”

“It’s a really weird place for him to be, but I think he’s got no no choice,” Perrineau continued. “The town is literally like singling him out and picking on him and and it’s a lot to deal with when you’re trying to get everybody home to safety, right? It’s made his relationship with some of the other characters really, really interesting and he has some compassion for other characters, but for some he has zero time. Zero.”

Anybody want to guess which characters Boyd gets most fed up with?

New video footage reveals the moment of Sean “Diddy” Combs arrest for federal sex trafficking charges in a Manhattan hotel lobby.

US-ENTERTAINMNET-MUSIC-AWARD-MTV-PRESS ROOM

Source: ANGELA WEISS / Getty

Diddy’s downfall played out in lawsuits, courtrooms, headlines, and even federal raids. Yet it was hard to imagine what could be the larger-than-life figure’s last moments of freedom until now. TMZ secured surveillance footage of federal agents swarming Diddy and his entourage to take him into custody.

On Monday evening, the disgraced mogul and members of his crew were walking into the lobby of the Park Hyatt New York hotel. Several men surrounded Diddy, who wore a black trench coat. As soon as he stepped foot inside, two agents flagged him down. His associates all looked confused as law enforcement escorted him away from the group.

Diddy came to New York City expecting an indictment from the federal grand jury. However, he reportedly planned to surrender himself on Tuesday. The feds pouncing on Monday night clearly caught him and his team completely off-guard.

When the clip continues, Diddy is already in handcuffs as the men lead him away to an elevator. The perp walk continued through the front doors of the hotel where Diddy was just hanging out moments before the arrest. Those agents cut short what looked like a final victory lap.

As BOSSIP previously reported, Diddy faces charges of “racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.” Despite repeated pleas to release the music mogul while he awaits trial, the judge denied Diddy bail again on Thursday.

Prosecutors strongly argued against his release, alleging that Diddy tampered with witnesses. Judge Tarnofsky’s ruling deemed that the Bad Boy founder was a threat to public safety and people testifying the case against him. The court documents also allege “forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.”

For now, he remains behind bars on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City. Some reactions suspected these reports were to drum up sympathy for the alleged repeat “Freakoff” offender. However, his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, set the record straight that Diddy is “not at all suicidal.”

The lawyer clarified to TMZ that this suicide watch is a routine measure for high-profile prisoners like Diddy. Instead, he claims that his client is still “strong, healthy, confident and focused on his defense.”

And BOSSIP is focused on covering updates as this story develops…

Nelly

Nelly’s St. Lunatics group mates are suing him alleging he stole the royalties and songwriting credits for ‘Country Grammar’.

One of the most commercially successful albums of all time is Nelly’s Country Grammar. When you talk about hits every song on the album is a banger. If there was ever an album to articulate the golden era of physical sales properly look no further. With a band-aid under his eye and his St. Lunatic brothers by his side, Nelly brought St. Louis to the world.

According to Billboard, the St. Lunatics are suing Nelly alleging he pilfered their royalties from the classic album. Furthermore, they claim he also finessed them out of songwriting credits on the album.

“Every time plaintiffs confronted defendant Haynes [he] would assure them as ‘friends’ he would never prevent them from receiving the financial success they were entitled to,” the lawsuit reads. “Unfortunately, plaintiffs, reasonably believing that their friend and former band member would never steal credit for writing the original compositions, did not initially pursue any legal remedies.”

Among the tracks in question are “Steal the Show,” “Thicky Thick Girl,” “Batter Up,” “Wrap Sumden,” and the blockbuster title track “Country Grammar.” Allegedly they’ve tried to acquire what they believe they are owed but in 2021 they were denied appropriate compensation after reaching out to Universal Music Group. This made the group hire the proper legal representation; suing was their only option. St. Lunatics members Ali, Murphy Lee, KyJuan, and City Spud are all listed on the filing.

Country Grammar was initially released in the summer of 2000 realizing a group of childhood friends’ dreams coming true. Now those dreams are turning into a nightmare playing out in front of the world they captivated in the early 00s.

Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump Speaks In Asheville, NC

Source: Grant Baldwin / Getty

Unless you’re deep in the muck of political news, likely, you’ve never heard of Mark Robinson but we’re going to change that today. By the end of this article, you’ll probably know more than you ever wanted to know about the self-hating, bigoted, homophobic, xenophobic, Republican gubernatorial nominee for the state of North Carolina.

Former President Trump Holds Rally In North Carolina

Source: Allison Joyce / Getty

Robinson’s notoriety came largely due to his inflammatory comments about all the culture war talking points that weirdo conservatives are obsessed with. The News & Observer detailed some of Robinson’s most infamous lowlights. Here is what he said about abortion in a Facebook video he published in February 2019:

“It’s about killing the child because you weren’t responsible enough to keep your skirt down or your pants up — and not get pregnant by your own choice, because you felt like getting your groove thing on. And now instead of taking care of that child, you want to kill that child so your life can go on, being on easy street and you can keep running to the club every Friday night.”

Here’s what Robinson told a North Carolina church during a video-recorded June 2024 speech about how America should deal with “wicked people”:

“When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, what did we do? We flew to Japan and we killed the Japanese army and navy. We didn’t even quibble about it. I didn’t start this fight, you did! You want to be left alone, you should have left me alone. We didn’t argue and capitulate and talk about, ‘Well, maybe we shouldn’t fight the Nazis that hard.’ No, they’re bad. Kill them. Some liberal somewhere is gonna say that sounds awful. Too bad,”

Lastly, and most damningly, here is what Robinson said during a speech at Asbury Baptist Church in 2021:

“There’s no reason anybody, anywhere in America should be telling any child about transgenderism, homosexuality, any of that filth. And yes, I called it filth. And if you don’t like that I called it filth, come see me and I’ll explain it to you.”

Now that you understand who Mark Robinson is and what he believes, you should also know something else. CNN has uncovered some of Robinson’s previously held beliefs before he became so…conservative. Between 2008 and 2012, Robinson frequently visited, commented, and watched explicit adult sex content on a website called “Nude Africa” under the username “minisoldr”.

Back then, Robinson described himself as “perv” and a “black Nazi” and told stories about peeping into women’s showers as a teenager. Despite his hateful rhetoric toward the trans community, Robinson emphatically proclaimed his love for watching trans sex content on the site.

“I like watching tranny on girl porn! That’s f*cking hot! It takes the man out while leaving the man in!” Robinson wrote. “And yeah I’m a ‘perv’ too!”

Thursday, during an interview with CNN, Robinson did the worst job ever of trying to convince the public that none of those comments were made by him.

“This is not us. These are not our words. And this is not anything that is characteristic of me,” Robinson said. Presented with the litany of evidence connecting him with the minisoldr user name on Nude Africa, Robinson said, “I’m not going to get into the minutia of how somebody manufactured this, these salacious tabloid lies.”

Yes, Mark, we know that “us” didn’t make those comments, YOU did. What the hell is talking about “us”? We bet you don’t want “to get into the minutia”, you’d much rather be waist-deep in something else.

Get this guy and all the Republicans like him TF out of here and vote them all out of office on November 5.

Breonna Taylor is dead because of police department’s ineptitude when attempting to serve a no-knock warrant. In the wake of her unjust death, a national conversation began about whether or not no-knock warrants should be legal due to their inherently dangerous nature. Recently, another fatal event has claimed the life of an unarmed Black person.

According to reporting by The Independent, 37-year-old Cameron Ford was shot dead by Omaha police officer Adam Vail as Ford was being served a no-knock warrant for the sale of fentanyl. Vail said that after entering his home, Ford charged at him and his hands were not visible.

via APNews:

“The use of no-knock warrants has too often led to avoidable violence and heart-wrenching loss,” Wayne Brown, president and CEO of the Urban League of Nebraska, said on Saturday. “It is time to reevaluate these tactics and replace them with strategies that prioritize the well-being of both the officer and the residents.”

Earlier this month, KETV reported that Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine declined to charge Vail saying that the use of force was legal.

Kleine said after watching the video, that Vail “thought he had to fire, and he didn’t want to have to fire.” The Douglas County attorney said that Vail had not fired his weapon in any of the previous 122 search warrants that he had served.

“He thought he had to fire during under that situation,” Kleine said.

Rest in peace to Cameron Ford. Hopefully, all police departments nationwide will end the use of no-knock warrants.

YFN Lucci - Joy To The Polls Georgia Pop Up Concerts

Despite social media conspiracy theories, YFN Lucci’s lawyer says he is alive and counting down the days until he’s home.

As previously reported the Atlanta rapper Lucci was arrested in 2021 and faced a minimum of life in prison for charges stemming from a fatal shooting. The rapper’s fate seemed all but sealed but he pleaded guilty to pleaded guilty to one count of violation of Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. and thanks to a support letter from DA Fani Willis he was only required to serve three years. Now his expected release date is in January 2025.

According to TMZ while the rapper’s counting down the days to his release, social media is writing fiction and alleging that he died behind bars.

“YFN Lucci allegedly has passed at age 33. Prayers to his family,” read a widespread Facebook post.

Another unfounded post alleged that the rapper was somehow shot in the torse while in jail.

Luckily YFN Lucci hired high-powered lawyer Drew Findling who quickly confirmed the rapper is alive and well. TMZ reports that the fabrication was part of someone trying to use engagement farming in the wake of Rich Homie Quan’s death. These days nothing is surprising on the Internet but wishing death on someone should be off the table.

Republicans are a shameless bunch when it comes to blatantly disrespecting people on the basis of political affiliation, gender, sexual identity and race. In their world, the more disrespectful that you are, the more favorably you will be perceived by their base of deplorables. One might even call that base a “basket”.

Senator John Neely Kennedy proved himself to be a very unlikeable conservative earlier this week when he hatefully addressed the executive director of the Arab American Institute Maya Berry. According to NewRepublic reporting, Berry testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee during a hearing about terrorism and hate crimes that both Arab and Jewish Americans have experienced since the October 7 attack that ignited the war between Israel and Palestine.

Senate Judiciary Committee Holds Hearing On Rising Hate Crimes

Source: Kevin Dietsch / Getty

Senator John Neely Kennedy had no intention of listening and learning from Ms. Berry, he was solely focused on disparaging her and labeling her a terrorist member of Hamas by asking, “You support Hamas, do you not?” To which Berry replied, “Hamas is a foreign terrorist organization that I do not support, but you asking the executive director of the Arab American Institute that question very much puts the focus on the issue of hate in our country.”

Kennedy is literally the reason that the hearing is taking place because people like him continue to stoke the fires of hatred and division.

Kennedy continued, “You support Hezbollah too, don’t you?” Over interjections from the senator, Berry said, “Again, I find this line of questioning extraordinarily disappointing, Senator. You have Arab American constituents that you represent.… The answer is I don’t support violence, whether it’s Hezbollah, Hamas, or any other entity that invokes it.”

“You can’t bring yourself to say no, can you?” Kennedy persisted. “Do you support or oppose Iran, and their hatred of Jews?”
