Boosie is once again being called to the carpet for his homophobic remarks, only this time it’s by his own daughter, Ivonia Hatch.

During a recent sit down with Yung Miami, the 41-year-old rapper shared some harsh words about his daughter, who identifies as a lesbian, in front of a packed crowd.

“She still can’t bring her situation to our house. My daughter is grown—Because I don’t want it to contaminate her others [siblings]” he said. “It’s a generation we’re raising, and I don’t want her to get too contaminated for her other six or seven sisters who look up to her. I want them to bring me grandchildren the right way.”

The lights are on but no is home, per usual. The clip began to circulate around social media on Sept 27 leading many to point out that his stance further perpetuates harmful stereotypes about the gay community. The loudest voice; however, was that of Hatch, who uploaded a 10-minute response to her father’s ignorance.

In the heartbreaking video, Hatch shared that she’s tried to remain silent and accept her father’s views but now feels it’s time for her to speak out.

“He always speaking on my sexuality, the whole world know that,” she said. “It’s been about two years now that I’ll be quiet. I wouldn’t say nothing, I just go with the flow. I did everything in my power to understand that this is my father, regardless. I’m going to accept him and love him for who he is.”

She continued,

“I just saw that he recently did an interview with Caresha and he used the word ‘contaminate’ and put my siblings in it at that. If you know me, I love and respect my siblings with everything in me. And they respect me and love me with everything in them.

She also took the opportunity to clear up her own coming out experience and how Boosie received the news of her sexuality.

“The incident that happened was in Jamaica…when you called me a gay b-word,” she revealed. “So if the world really knew the hurtful things you told me before and I forgave you, you wouldn’t even understand. At the end of the day, no matter how you feel, I am your blood. I am your daughter.”

The vulnerable cry for acceptance and respect was met with concern and also praise for her ability to stand up for herself.

Social media users also pointed out that Boosie leaned on his Southern religious background to condemn his daughter while but hasn’t used the same ideology to check his own transgressions.

Boosie has been very open about hiring sex workers for his underage sons and nephews in an effort to force them into manhood “the right way” and recently threw his support behind Diddy amid his pending sexual assault trial. The “Wipe Me Down” rapper also has eight children by six different women, went to trial for an alleged murder charge, and is currently facing up to 10 years in prison for unlawful firearm possession as a convicted felon.

A true upstanding citizen.

Victoria Monét is speaking her Jaguar II truth. The songstress recently confirmed that she and her boo John Gaines, have split — but it’s “Alright.” Despite their relationship status, the former pair are actively working together to co-parent their 3-year-old daughter, Hazel.

On Sept. 23, the “On My Mama” hitmaker and the fitness trainer shared a joint statement on X (formerly Twitter), announcing that they made an amicable decision to end their romantic relationship 10 months ago. They noted that they initially chose to avoid a formal statement but felt compelled to clarify their relationship status after receiving “questions” and “extremely false accusations” connected to their romance.

One such rumor alleged that the singer had started dating Gaines while he was dating another woman.

The duo reassured fans that “no infidelity, toxic behavior nor drama” led to the unexpected split. While they “still completely adore and respect each other” Victoria and John, who runs a fitness program called Gains by Gaines, revealed that they both had “some fundamental growing to do that would be best done apart” so that they can be the “best versions” of themselves for their daughter Hazel, who they welcomed in February 2021.

“It simply didn’t work out and that’s OK. We still think the world of each other and operate with love in every interaction for our family,” the pair continued. “We are committed to doing the inner work and trust that God will place us both where we belong in due time.”

Before announcing their decision, the couple reflected on whether they owed an explanation about their situation. They acknowledged how social media can distort reality and chose to be open to clarify their status and help with their healing process.

“To all our supporters, friends and family, thank you for your love, care and concern. Please allow us the peace and space to maintain a safe and happy environment to continue to co-parent the best of our ability for Hazel. We plan to remain a family regardless of our public facing title,” the former lovebirds added in their X statement.

How did Victoria and John meet?

According to Us Magazine, Victoria met John while filming the music video for her hit song “Moment” in 2020. It’s uncertain whether they were romantically involved then, but the video featured plenty of passionate kisses between the two. John made his public debut with Victoria in February, shortly after she became a three-time Grammy winner at the 2024 GRAMMYs, where their adorable then 2-year-old daughter cheered from the audience. The family turned heads on the red carpet in stylish outfits, causing a paparazzi frenzy.

In February 2021, John and Victoria proudly welcomed Hazel, announcing the news on Instagram with a touching photo of her tiny hand nestled between theirs. While they never married, Victoria shared in a September 2021 ESSENCE interview that marrying John was part of her big “plan.”

The Grammy winner added at the time;

“We’re completely in love and enjoying our new chapter … [Hazel has] really got him wrapped around her finger, and I’ve seen him change in ways that I know he didn’t expect. She’s growing us up.”

Chingy was about to give Trump supporters what he got for a pork chop but the internet bullied him into changing his mind.

The St. Louis rapper initially defended his right to perform whurrrever his fans are willing to see him but seems to have had a change of heart after social media turned him every which way but loose. In response to criticism he said,

“I’m a say this one time. MY JOB IS TO PERFORM AND I GET PAID TO PERFORM, NOT CAURR ABOUT POLITICS. NOW YALL FIND SUMIN ELSE TO DO WITH YURR TIME.”

He also took time to address fans who were worried that he’d fallen on hard times and needed to make a quick coin. After all, tickets for the event start at $1,000.

“You can’t be down bad when you just bought a 500k house pimp,” he said. “Those people don’t hate me because they love my music. Music isn’t racist and that’s how I play it.

“All this nonsense y’all creating bothers me none. I’m a performer, whether these people are political, homosexual, or whatever—they all love music… I have classic records they all love, and I will perform them for them. So I hope that helps you understand that my job as an artist is to perform and make timeless music. That I did.”

The age old “music doesn’t see color” adage. How fitting. After going on to respond to several commenters on social media, Chingy ultimately decided to pull out of the performance.

“YOU KNO WHAT JUS CAUSE I DONT WANT TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS MESS. I HAVE DECLINED PERFORMING AND NO IM NOT A TRUMP SUPPORTER NOT SUPPORTER OF ANYONE ELSE BUT CHINGY. THURR YOU HAVE IT,” he said.

Glad he cleared that up. In the meantime, the “Holidae Inn” rapper was honored by his hometown of St. Louis with an official Chingy Day. The new local holiday was celebrated on Sept. 14.

Kim Porter‘s book has officially hit (digital) shelves, and everyone is scrambling to read it. The book Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side was released on Amazon just days before Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ arrest on human trafficking and racketeering. The tell-all book details Porter’s experience while in a relationship with the disgraced music mogul.

As BOSSIP reported, Combs was arrested on September 16, 2024. On September 17, the 14-page indictment detailing all of the Bad Boy founder’s alleged crimes was released. However, on September 6, days before his arrest, Porter’s book became available for sale on Amazon.

Though the book was published under the name Jamal T. Millwood, now that Diddy is behind bars, Chris Todd feels comfortable revealing his identity. Todd is a music producer who reportedly received the information for the book from a friend of Porter’s. According to Daily Mail, Todd claims Porter gave her close friends a flash drive with the manuscript on it before her death.

“This is a dangerous situation, and I didn’t want to claim ownership of Kim’s words. But now I’m willing to come forward because of the recent arrest of Sean Combs. Now [that] the federal government has finally acted, I feel safer to come forward,” Todd told the outlet.

Nearly two weeks after its release, the book shot to No. 1 on Amazon’s Bestsellers list. The memoir gives disturbing recounts of the abuse that Porter received. Nevertheless, Todd, who was named co-author of the book, lacks hard evidence of Porter’s experiences.

“I was lucky enough to meet someone that purported to have Kim Porter’s flash drive,” he told the media outlet. “I know the celebrity source pretty well. I know how close they were to Kim and Diddy, and all the people in the hip-hop community. This was supposedly for Kim Porter, from the grave, to come forward and tell her story,” Todd stated.

Kim died of a reported pneumonia in 2018. She was a mother of four, three of which she shared with Combs.

Diddy Is Put On Suicide Watch After Being Denied Bail

Before and after his arrest, Combs’ attorneys have been fighting for his release. Though he understands he must stand trial, Combs hoped to wait out the trial from home. With hopes of doing so, the father of seven offered $50 million bail. He also promised to refrain from having female visitors outside of his family, give up access to his phone and the internet, and leave witnesses alone. However, Judge Andre Carter, Jr. was not convinced.

“There is no condition or combination of conditions to ensure he will not obstruct justice or tamper with witnesses,” Judge Carter stated.

Combs’ request for bail was denied twice. He remains an inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center until further notice. Combs was placed on a routine suicide watch due to the high-profile nature of the case. His attorney states that while being on suicide watch, Combs is strong and preparing for trial.

“Mr. Combs is strong, healthy and focused on his defense. He is committed to fighting this case and has full confidence in both his legal team and the truth,” Marc Agnifilo said.

Even after facing several allegations and charges, Combs maintains his innocence and that his “lifestyle” is not a crime. A trial date has not been set.
