Black Ink’s Allison’s Son Dies From Brain Cancer

Sky’s bestie Allison from “Black Ink” just suffered a terrible tragedy. She lost her 14-year-old son due to brain cancer. According to her Instagram posts, she first found out the boy had the illness 4 years ago, and they’ve been diligently treating it ever since.

To refresh your memory, Allison was there when Sky first met her son Genesis on TV, and things got violent. She had a recurring role on “Black Ink”, dating Cease, the shop’s owner at one time. She was always seen as a supportive friend to Sky, never disclosing her personal struggles.

About her son’s death, Allison wrote:

My baby boy is gone. As I smell the tee shirt you were wearing yesterday, my eyes swell up with tears. Not just tears of sadness. But tears of joy! Just knowing that yesterday morning you were able to walk and talk again in heaven. I asked you yesterday to come visit me in my sleep. You didn’t come last night. No rush baby boy I know I’ll see you soon. This shit feels fake. I love and miss you so bad Joshua.

So sad.

Rest in peace Joshua and our condolences to Allison during this inconceivable time.

Singer Erykah Badu and her family are spotted at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, Ca

Obviously, children are suppose to resemble their parent, but some kids are literal dopplegangers of their moms and dads.

“I think my momma just like arguing with me cause I look like my dad.”- @00tolerance

“How much do you look like your mom? Well her iPhone face ID opens with my face so”- @leishuga

When it comes to celebrity parents, some, like Erykah Badu, live by the code of hiding their kid from the world and the world from their kid. Then there are others like Erykah Badu who don’t mind sharing the blissfulness of motherhood with her followers.  Earlier this year, the singer took to Instagram to wish her and D.O.C’s daughter Puma a happy birthday — and fans flooded her photo with comments about how much the teen looks like her famous mom.

Come to think of it, all of Badu’s kids are a spitting image of their parents. Just look at her son Seven and his dad, Andre 3000. Twinsies!

“Erykah and Andre’s son is literally the spitting image of his dad… such strong genes”- @blaque_bekoolin

Some say that daughters are born looking like their dad’s, while sons resemble their moms. But is that fact or fiction? According to,Samuel M. Scheiner, Ph.D., program director in the division of environmental biology at the National Science Foundation, it’s totally fiction.

“When sperm met egg, the right mix of genes popped up so it could be expressed. Moreover, most traits are the result of multiple genes working together, so some of the effects of the genes are amplified, reduced, or completely turned off”

Seven and Puma aren’t the only ones that looks like their parents spit ’em out. Hit the flip to see more parent-children doppelgangers.

Angela Delgado Williams Said She Hopes Her Suit Will Spur Change Around Nevada’s Sex Industry

The woman who accused Mally Mall of sex trafficking her as part of a class action suit against the state of Nevada said she hopes to shine a light on the depravity in the state’s legal prostitution industry.

Angela Delgado Williams said Mally Mall trafficked her around the country to engage in the sex trade for four years and called the music producer “probably one of the biggest traffickers of all time.”

“A lot of people are lured in,” Williams said. Nevada “Is a hub for sex trafficking and Jamal (Mally Mall) is one of the front men of one of the sex trade in Las Vegas.”

Williams said Mally Mall – whose real name is Jamal Rashid – used his connections in the industry to entice and manipulate females into working for him. She said Mally financed his career in the music business through the proceeds from prostitution and spent most of his time entertaining celebrities in his Neverland-style luxury mansion.

She said he would tell her and others that he’d eventually take them away from the prostitution and they’d all be on his reality show, “Mally’s World.”

“He glorified our life so much,” Williams exclusively told BOSSIP. “He really had coercion and manipulation on another level. When I was actively being trafficked by him, paying him, working for his escort service, he was working with Young Burg. He always had artists and industry people in his house, and he was paying his way into the music industry.”

Apparently, there are still great people in the world, and they’re all nurses at Touchette Regional Hospital in Illinois. When Illinois dad Darius Hinkle discovered that his one-year old daughter was choking on a penny, he rushed her to the hospital, despite not having a valid drivers license. By the time he actually made it to the ER, more than a handful of police officers were behind him and took him into custody.

Donecia Pittman, the one-year old’s mother, told reporters that when she arrived to the jail to bail her boyfriend out, there was already a woman in front her asking to bail Darius Hinkle. The woman revealed that she was a nurse from the hospital — her and the other nurses chipped in to pay the father’s bond. Hinkle told Fox 2 Now,

“[When I arrived at the hospital] I got out, put my hands up, and I yelled and told the police my baby is choking, I can’t thank [the nurses] enough for both their kindness shown towards me and for saving my little girl.”

Miracles do happen. Shout out to those nurses.

Jordan Peele Sheds Light On His MADtv Contract

To the public eye, it would seem like Jordan Peele career is exactly where he wants it to be–how could it not be with how successful he’s been these last few years?!

But Peele hasn’t always been in charge of his own projects, and he’s had some negative experiences with the companies he’s worked with in the past–and yeah, he’s holding grudges. The Us and Get Out creator talked to The Hollywood Reporter about a life-changing opportunity that was lost over a contract dispute with MADtv back in 2008.

When Peele was nearing the end of his contract when he got an offer to join the Saturday Night Live team. But things didn’t go exactly as planned for the sketch comedian when Fox’s MADtv wouldn’t let him out of his deal early to take his talents to NBC.

“I wanted to be a producer,” Jordan explained. “These producers are making these decisions about art and comedy, and they didn’t know anything about art and comedy. I want to be a producer and bring my artistry to that and they’ll all be sorry.”

He went on to speak about MADtv‘s 20th anniversary special, making a key observation. “You will note that I’m not present,” he told the audience at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, which had gathered for a sold out edition of the improv training center’s interview series.

But, it definitely seems like that hurt from missing such an opportunity is what’s driven him to have creative control over his own projects now–and he’s doing a great job. After Get Out’s immense success, his latest film Us has achieved a similar amount of both critical and commercial acclaim. According to current estimates, the film’s domestic box office haul is at just under $137 million.

Bill Cosby Defamation Lawsuits Settled Without His Consent

Seven women who’ve accused Bill Cosby of sexual misconduct have settled the defamation lawsuits they brought against the comedian. According to the paperwork filed in a Massachusetts Federal Court:

“Plaintiffs’ claims against Defendant William H. Cosby, Jr. have been settled. Each Plaintiff is satisfied with the settlement. Contemporaneously with this Report, Plaintiffs are filing a Motion for Entry of Order Dismissing Claims as Settled.”

But according to a Cosby spokesperson, the infamous comedian had no knowledge about the settlements and is still pursuing his countersuits against his accusers.

“Mr. Cosby did not settle any cases with anyone. He is not paying anything to anyone, and he is still pursuing his counterclaims. AIG decided to settle these cases, without the knowledge, permission and/or consent of Mr. Cosby. Mr. Cosby vehemently denies the allegations brought against him in these defamation suits and he maintains his innocence. #FarFromFinished #FreeBillCosby #BillCosbyDenied Settlement #AIGSettlesWithoutBillCosbyConsent #BillCosbyWillNotPayADime”

Despite the settlements, Mr. Cosby is still currently serving his three to ten year sentence in a Pennsylvania correctional facility, after being found guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault in April 2018.

BOSSIP spoke with Marsai Martin about becoming the youngest executive producer in Hollywood history.

“It feels surreal,” Martin told BOSSIP. “This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time but I never knew I wanted to do this, you know when you get that feeling? It honestly still hasn’t really sinked in yet because I’m still regular 14-year-old me, but no, it’s important for me to see I’m not just doing this for myself, I’m doing this for my fans or people that look like me that don’t think that they belong. So I want to just lead by example.”

Marsai tackles a few scenes in the film that required singing and dancing from her. She told BOSSIp that although there were some challenges, she had fun.

“It was definitely different,” Martin said. “I feel like throughout the script it just grew bigger and bigger than what I expected it to be but it was a good different, it was fun.”

Marsai’s pretty active on Instagram, and she occasionally posts different makeup looks that she creates so we had to ask which beauty vlogger she’d love to collaborate with.

“Jackie Aina,” Marsai answered without hesitation. “I love her so much. When she first followed me I was freaking out. I love her.”

Hit the flip for our exclusive interview with Issa Rae.

BOSSIP also spoke with Issa Rae at the premiere, asking the “Insecure” creator and actress who she’d cast as her younger self if there was a film that called for it.

“I would lowkey cast Marsai,” Issa Rae told BOSSIP, “because she reminds me so much of myself at that age — who I wanted to be — who I thought I was at that age. I love Skai Jackson. Otherwise, I need to familiarize myself with the next generation of Hollywood, but they’re going to make themselves known if they are following what Marsai is doing. “

We also spoke to Issa Rae about the musical number she performed in with Marsai, asking if it was nervewrecking.

“It was,” Issa told BOSSIP. I’m not a singer. I’m not a dancer. I thought me and Marsai were going to be in the same boat, but she can sing and dance so it’s really unfair. We were unfairly matched.”

Tina [director Tina Gordon] made us do it like 22 times. No, it was awhile, we had to shoot the scene twice.

With the element of magic that is included in the film, we had to ask Issa what spell she’d cast if she had a magic wand. Her answer is all bad news for the guys out there.

“I would give men cramps,” Issa Rae told BOSSIP. “I just want them to know what it feels like. I want them to know a quarter of a woman’s struggles. You said a spell so I would be like oooh, you got cramps now!”

We couldn’t help but notice that Issa was wearing the ring that is rumored to mark her engagement to longtime beau Louis Diame, but she remained guarded as ever when we asked whether we should be congratulating her on anything else.

“On everything!” Issa laughed. “I have so much going on so I’ll take all the congratulations I can get.”

Hit the flip for Regina Hall, Will Packer and director Tina Gordon’s takes on Black Girl Magic and ‘Little’

BOSSIP spoke with Regina Hall about Black Girl Magic being on the rise in Hollywood and asked whether the film industry has put more value on women of color.

“They’ve certainly put more value on Black Girl Money,” Hall told BOSSIP. “I think when movies open, I think Hollywood, if there is someone like a Will Packer or whoever, who thinks of a way, to have vision that we haven’t seen then those movies do well and they do more of those movies. I think it takes more people like that behind the scenes making those suggestions.”

Executive producer Will Packer brought his wife, daughter and mother to the premiere and talked about the film’s uplifting message during difficult times.

“The world is heavy right now,” Will Packer told BOSSIP. “It’s been heavy for awhile and I think it’s great to create something that can help people escape for a little while. To go into a movie theater and laugh and hopefully learn something for a couple hours, that’s powerful. I enjoy being able to do that. “

Will Packer also addressed the Black Girl Magic theme sprinkled throughout the film and production.

“It’s undeniable,” Packer said of the Black Girl Magic element. “First of all it’s literal Black Girl Magic, we’ve actually got a movie with a magical device at the center of it, then you’re talking about a black director, black writers, black cast, black executive producers, all female by the way. It’s incredible. I’m just proud that I can be in position to stand behind these women and give them a platform to do what they do.”

We had to ask Will about what he’d choose for his magic spell as well.

“A spell that I’d put on other people?” Packer asked BOSSIP. “I don’t know… Go see Will Packer movies? I don’t know if I’d want that much power. That sounds scary.”

We spoke with writer/director Tina Gordon about her take on the Black Girl Magic of the film.

“I feel like Marsai started it, when she came in at 10-years-old with this idea, and it galvanized us to support her, I brought in people behind the scenes, myself as a writer, Tracy [Oliver] as a writer, wardrobe, production design, it was like a good sisterhood, we all just got together and supported her and had a good time in the meantime.”

When BOSSIP asked her, Gordon had a rather unique spell she said she’d use her magic wand for:

“I should say something selfless, what should that be? Uh, just to be able to eat carbs and not gain weight!”

Great one, riiight?

Everyone screws up in relationships from time to time, but some things are just lawsuit worthy. One Nashville woman took her issues to court, claiming that she became infected with HSV-2 genital herpes after her boyfriend of four years had cheated on her.

The woman, who filed the complaint under the pseudonym “PH”, says she was free of any sexually transmitted diseases before starting what she thought was a monogamous relationship in Nov. 2013. According to legal documents:

“PH and Gregory Cole, of Brentwood, first met in 2010, and then reconnected in 2014, and formed a sexual relationship which lasted until 2018, and she believed Cole to be heterosexual, and monogamous, until April of 2018, when Gregory Cole accidentally called the woman from his cell phone during a sexual encounter with another man, and the phone call lasted one hour and twenty-eight minutes. The woman says she listened to the entire call, which included explicit sexual conversation and narrating various actions in which he and his male partner were engaging.”

Following the shocking call, PH went to get tested for STDs, only to find out that she in fact had been infected with HSV-2, genital herpes, which is incurable. The woman says she hasn’t had any other sexual partners since hooking up with Cole.

She is currently suing Cole for $1 million, siting battery, infliction of emotional distress, both intentional and neglect, negligence, and fraud. However, Cole has refused to speak with her about the incident. Guess she’ll see him in court.

“Bad Girl’s Club’s” Shannade Clermont Sentenced For Stealing From A Dead Man After Paid Date

A Manhattan Federal Court judge blasted “Bad Girl’s Club” starlet Shannade Clermont for her “lack of character” as she sentenced her to a year in prison.

Judge Naomi Buchwald said the social media star had a chance to show her integrity when her alleged victim passed out during what the feds called a “prostitution date” with her. But the judge said that instead of calling 911 or notifying someone, she stole his debit card info and went on a $20,000 shopping spree.

“When faced with a real test of character, she close to leave (the victim’s) apartment with his debit card information without calling 911,” Judge Buchwald told Clermont. “No foundation, established after her arrest, can account for that lack of character.”

The judge told the courtroom – which was packed with Clermont’s relatives on one side and her victim’s family on the other – that Clermont became “enamored with surface values” and questioned whether she didn’t call authorities about her victim’s unconscious state because she didn’t want to have contact with law enforcement while working as a prostitute.

Clermont pled guilty to one count of wire fraud late last year. After she serves her time, she’ll have to complete three years of probation.

Her family members cried after the judge handed down the sentence, and one relative was doubled over.

Clermont, who matched her sister in a blonde wig, blazer and cigarette pants, cried as she asked for mercy from the judge, saying she wasn’t in the right “mental space” when she stole from the man.

“I made a terrible, selfish decision,” Clermont said through tears. “I feel like I’m in a recurring nightmare that’s happening…I can’t pretend to be perfect because I wouldn’t be there. I want to take full responsibility.”

She continued: “Your honor, I ask for you to give me a second chance…this will never happen again.”

“I lost sight of who I was during that time in my life.”

MacKenzie Bezos Reportedly Receiving $36 Billion In Divorce

Someone’s probably just fine with her hubby’s alleged Amazon Prime piping.

MacKenzie and Jeff Bezos announced the terms of their highly publicized divorce today. Jeff will maintain 75% of Amazon’s stock along with voting control of MacKenzie’s shares. MacKenzie also relinquished to him all of her interests in The Washington Post and the Blue Origin aerospace company reports CNBC.

She will still have a 4% stake in Amazon that while doesn’t sound like much, is worth an estimated $35.6 billion. That makes MacKenzie the fourth richest woman in the world.

MacKenzie tweeted that she’s “looking forward to what comes next.”

We’re sure.

In a separate statement, Jeff Bezos said he’s looking forward to co-parenting with his ex-wife.

“I’m grateful for her support and for her kindness in this process and am very much looking forward to our new relationship as friends and co-parents,” Bezos said.

If you can remember Jeff was outed by the National Enquirer for allegedly having an affair with former Extra TV host Lauren Sanchez. Bezos is said to be super smitten with Lauren and was reportedly Amazon Prime piping her during his marriage.

The Enquirer said its reporters followed the couple “across five states and 40,000 miles” and “tailed them in private jets, swanky limos, helicopter rides, romantic hikes, five-star hotel hideaways, intimate dinner dates and ‘quality time’ in hidden love nests”.

Yikes.

At least they’re free to be together now.

What would YOU buy first if you divorced Jeff Bezos???
