The Kardashians Are Honoring Their Father In A Big Way

The late patriarch of the Kardashian family, Robert Kardashian, was honored on Tuesday night at UCLA.

“So proud to announce the Robert G. Kardashian center for esophageal health being launched at UCLA,” Kim wrote on Twitter as she shared a photo of the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “My wish is that other families can have more information and we can also focus on health and prevention.” Robert was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July of 2003 and died less than eight weeks later at the age of 59.

Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian were also in attendance at the event, along with several other members from Robert’s side of the family.

Khloé ended up sharing a detailed message about the new center, explaining that it will “provide resources for groundbreaking research, patient care, and education/training, in addition to support of efforts in esophageal health. The naming of the center and its dedicated specialty services will assist in advancing UCLA’s position at the forefront of the world for the study of esophageal and other GI disorders …”

Megan Thee Stallion Celebrates Her Billboard Debut

Megan Thee Stallion reached a huge career milestone this week .

The Houston hottie is celebrating a big win after making it onto the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in her budding career. The 24-year-old just hit the #99 spot with her single “Big Ole Freak,” which comes off of her Tina Snow EP that dropped in June of last year.

Meg posted a screenshot of the news on her Instagram page celebrating the major milestone. “We made it on @billboard hot 100 hotties,” she wrote under her post. “I’m working my mf a** off everyday! I just wanna tell y’all I AINT NEVER F***IN STOPPING.”

Thee Stallion has been absolutely everywhere on social media lately and has been exponentially growing her fan base all 2019–she even just reached 1 million followers on Instagram. She’s signed to 300 entertainment and has been hitting the road, performing and hosting “hottie” parties and for her already solid loyal fan base.

Insecure Won’t Be Back On HBO Until 2020

Issa Rae’s life as a bonafide movie star means that Insecure isn’t coming back to our TV screens for a while.

In an interview with Vulture, HBO’s programming chief Casey Bloys revealed that Insecure is not going to return with new episodes until next year, 2020. Luckily for Issa, the network understands that the show’s creator is doing it big in other areas of her career and they don’t want to impede on her hustle right now.

“Issa became a big movie star,” Bloys explained. “We’re not the first place to deal with this, but when you’re in business with very creative and talented people, there’s a lot more opportunities for people to do things.” The exec assured viewers that Issa’s busy schedule hasn’t caused HBO to shelve Insecure permanently, but they know that their star will need a break before committing herself to the series.

He also thinks that this brief departure from our screens will allow award shows to give Insecure the recognition it deserves.

“It wasn’t exactly random that we ended up [scheduling the show] in the spring, right before Emmys,” said Bloys. “So that the show should get the Emmy love that it has deserved.”

Though this year might be a little slower than usual following the Game of Thrones series finale, 2020 is looking great for the network. Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm is also on a hiatus, set to return to HBO in 2020.

Father’s Loaded Gun Goes Off In Diaper Bag Shooting Baby And Himself

In WTF news…

Police say that the incident happened Saturday afternoon, either at or near a Chuck E. Cheese’s pizza parlor in the Birmingham suburb.

The father was not identified by name in the report. Reportedly he was in the back seat of a vehicle changing the girl’s diaper, and the gun went off as he picked up or reached inside the bag, which was sitting on the floorboard. After the gun went off, the bullet traveled through the adult’s leg and then the child’s leg before lodging in the man’s chest.

The child is going to be OK. Her father is in serious condition, according to a spokesperson at the police department.

What the hell?? Why would this man bring a loaded gun around his child, in a diaper bag and near a Chuck E. Cheese???
