Jay Ellis And Nina Senicar To Marry, Have First Child

Jay Ellis and Nina Senicar are ready to walk down the aisle and say “I do!”

According to the Serbian outlet Story, the Insecure star and his longtime blond-ish bae will become husband and wife in Italy later this year.

Additionally, Nina is four months pregnant with their first child.

MadameNoire caught wind of previous statements Nina has made about her future with Jay via HELLO:

In 2018, when asked about such plans, specifically marriage, she responded, “We are not planning it yet, although I’m never aware of it. If I ever get married I would like to be an intimate act in the family and friends circle.”

She also told Hello that when it comes to being a mom, it would be her most significant role to date.

“I’m sure that this role will be more important to me than any role in any film or series.”

Congratulations to Jay and Nina! Wonder who else from the Insecure cast will jump the broom before the new season starts?

Brandon Jennings Blasts Tae Heckard Over ‘Basketball Wives’ Gig

Remember Brandon Jennings?

The former Timberwolves player has a bone to pick with the mother of his son, actress Tae Heckard. The 29-year-old sounded off on Instagram to air out his grievances with Tae’s career and her age. Brandon is upset that the actress, 41, is considering getting a “Basketball Wives” check. He thinks she’s too old and needs to not be using him to get her career popping again.

He wrote:

“Why is my41-year-old baby mama trying [to] get on Basketball Wives. Ur not even a basketball wive. That’s not a real job.”

Jennings continued, seemingly taking a shot at whoever Tae is dating these days:

“Listen I’m old school. But how ya’ll ni**as let women date go on tv and talk about they ex and baby daddies!!! That’s so weird to me.”

You can see the post, HERE.

Brandon and Tae dated circa 2014. In late 2015, they welcomed a baby boy and their relationship dissolved around the baby’s delivery date.

Do YOU have any thoughts on Brandon’s apprehension to support Tae’s career moves?

One Sheet For 'Space Jam'

If you were a fan of the 1996 kids classic Space Jam, you probably already know that the flick is getting a sequel for a new generation.

LeBron James and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler serve as producers for Space Jam 2, which is set to hit theaters on July 16, 2021, according to Deadline. Art house director Terence Nance was initially set to direct the project, but now Deadline reports that he’s been swapped out for Girls Trip director Malcolm D. Lee.

Sources say Nance’s departure was friendly and he left because of creative differences with the studio/producers. However, one must wonder if the studio essentially didn’t trust an indie director with experimental tendencies.

Nance is known for unconventional movies like 2012’s An Oversimplification of Her Beauty, which mixes animation and live action to tell a love story.

Then, in 2018, Nance garnered more critical acclaim with his HBO series Random Acts of Flyness, which also mixed live action, animation and other unconventional forms of filmmaking to cover topics of race, gender and politics in America.

With such an experimental approach to filmmaking, Nance could have provided a fresh take on Space Jam, one that was innovative yet still entertaining for the fans. Now that Terrence is out and Malcolm D. Lee is in, things could change drastically.

Where Lee might lack in experimentation, he makes up for in strong narratives with box office success. This is the same man behind 1999’s The Best Man, which grossed over $34 million on a $9 million budget. Lee also led a little movie called Girls Trip, which went on to gross over $140 million worldwide with a production budget of $28 million.

While Nance might bring fresher ideas to Space Jam, Lee can no doubt create a character-driven movie that could impact a wider audience.

If only we could be in the board room to peep which ideas Nance was pitching vs. Lee. Guess we’ll have to wait and find out if Lee is the perfect man for the job.

What do you think of the switch up? Are you here for Lee or do you think they should’ve given Nance a chance?

Judge hopes R. Kelly to go on trial on first of four sex charges early next year

R. Kelly Accused Of Sexually Abusing Girls For Years

R. Kelly was just denied bond in his Illinois child porn and sex abuse case, and things aren’t looking much better in his simultaneous federal racketeering case.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has asked a judge to deny the disgraced singer bail indefinitely to ensure that he shows up for his trial in Brooklyn, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP.

In a letter to the judge, Richard P. Donoghue, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said that Kelly was a major flight risk who was too dangerous to be in public. Donoghue was especially concerned that if he made bail, he’d try to intimidate witnesses in the case.

He pointed to Kelly’s 2008 state child abuse case and said the “Pied Piper” bribed his alleged victim’s family with $2 million in exchange for her not testifying against him. The prosecutor said Kelly also forced alleged victims to sign documents with false, yet damaging information and threatened to expose the info if they went public.

The feds allege that for more than 20 years, Kelly was the head of a criminal enterprise that funneled young girls from around the country to him to be sexually assaulted.

Besides racketeering, Kelly was indicted on charges of violating the Mann Act, kidnapping and forced labor. Kelly is expected to be arraigned on those charges in September.

President Trump Hosts "Made In America" Product Showcase At The White House

Tensions are high after ICE raids began all over the country this weekend, targeting a total of 2,000 undocumented immigrant families whom the Trump administration is set on deporting. Not only is Trump doing his best to force people out, he has no qualms about saying out loud that people should go back to their countries.

Addressing four congresswomen of color yesterday, he wrote on Twitter.

“So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly…… ….and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how…. ….it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

It didn’t take long for folks to respond to his insulting message, citing the history of racists telling people of color to go back to where they came from.

Trump, however, doubled down on his tweets…

Now, Twitter is sharing their own personal stories detailing all the times they were told to go back to their countries. Read a few of those below.

Disgraceful.

Motown Records and Quality Control Music Celebrate Black Excellence

Layton Greene, Lil Baby, City Girls, and PnB Rock got together for a summer banger that we’ve had on heavy rotation. Now, “Leave Em Alone” boasts a visual to match, as Layton just dropped the official clip on her Youtube Channel moments ago.

If you haven’t heard the song, it’s pretty funny and relatable. PnB Rock is peak PnB (announcing that he’s going to ‘eat that p*ssy like it’s ice cream’), as Layton talks about the dope boy she can’t seem to leave alone. Lil Baby chimes in with lighthearted f*ck boy bars that make us laugh and Caresha comes in doing what she does best. A preview of her verse will help you understand what we mean…

“Jackrabbit when he put the d*ck in it/How you n*t and you barely put the tip in it?

Sixty seconds, got him gone, that’s a quick minute? He ain’t never felt some p*ssy with some grip in it”

We told you.

To match those Hot Girl vibes, the group is seen socializing on campus at Quality Control University on a beautiful day for the visual, which seems to be a lit HBCU. “This was soo lit to shoot! I just wanna thank everybody for the love and support man, this sh*t mean the world to me and it’s only the beginning. Can’t wait to show y’all who Layton Greene really is,” Layton wrote on Instagram just a few moments ago.
