Simone Biles proved she’s still the GOAT in gymnastics, and dragging fans for criticizing her husband about celebrating with her 2024 Olympics gold medal: “Y’all are miserable.”

On Thursday, Biles made history at the 2024 Paris Summer Games by winning the gold medal in the women’s individual all-around final, becoming the third woman ever to claim this title twice. The only other women to achieve this feat were Larisa Latynina in 1956 and 1960 and Věra Čáslavská in 1964 and 1968.

Biles started strong but stumbled slightly on the uneven bars, temporarily placing her in second behind Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade. However, like the true champion she is, Biles didn’t let this minor setback derail her.

She delivered a stunning performance on the balance beam and then wowed the audience with her floor routine, sealing her victory like the boss she is. Biles’ incredible comeback on the beam and floor showcased her unparalleled talent and mental toughness.

Joining Biles on the podium were two of her fellow gymnasts and friends. Rebeca Andrade, who earned the silver medal, dazzled the judges with her entertaining performances on vault and floor. This marks her second consecutive all-around silver, following her success in Tokyo.

Meanwhile, Suni Lee, of Team USA and the 2020 Olympic all-around champion, captured the bronze, earning her second straight Olympic all-around medal.

Biles’ victory in Paris is a huge milestone. Not only did she become the first woman to win non-consecutive Olympic gold medals in the individual all-around, but she also secured her third Olympic gold medal in the women’s artistic gymnastics individual vault final.

Her performances on the vault once again proved why she’s the best to ever do it. She executed the Biles II aka Yurchenko double pike vault—with a difficulty score of 6.400, earning 15.700 points. Her second vault, the Cheng vault, landed her a 14.900 score with a difficulty level of 5.600. Biles’ average score of 15.300 ensured her position at the top of the podium, adding another golden chapter to the Book of Biles.

The “About Damn Time” singer has been keeping it positive and continuing to get to the bag after claiming she was going to quit music and social media after extreme online bullying.

She would later clarify that she was simply quitting “giving any negative energy her attention.

“What I’m not going to quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting to people, cause I know I’m not alone,” she said in a video. “In no way shape or form am I the only person experiencing that negative voice that’s louder than the positive.”

She continued,

“If I can just give one person the inspiration or motivation to stand up for themselves and say they quit letting negative people, negative comments win, then I’ve done even more than I could’ve hoped for. I’m going to keep moving forward and keep being me.”

Young Dolph’s partner, Mia Jaye, recently attended a memorial for what would’ve been the slain rapper‘s 39th birthday. Additionally, she posted a sweet message on Instagram, showing the world that her love for him never dies. Young Dolph’s birthday, July 27th, was another reminder of a life taken too soon. However, like Jaye, many of his fans sought to celebrate.

As BOSSIP sadly reported, Memphis native rapper Young Dolph was gunned down in November 2021. He was patronizing a cookie shop in Memphis that he frequented when he was shot and killed. An autopsy revealed that he was shot 22 times. Many around the world mourned his death, including his two children and partner, Jaye.

Three years later, Jaye continues to remind his fans of the joy he gave her and their children on what would have been his 39th birthday. According to TheShadeRoom, the Atlanta Westside Cultural Arts Center held a “Spirit Of Dolph Heavenly Birthday Celebration” to recognize the fallen rapper’s birthday and life. Jaye and many others attended the event, wearing the color blue.

In addition to attending the Atlanta event, Jaye honored Young Dolph’s birthday with an Instagram post. The post included several pictures of the couple and family, with the last taken shortly before he died. 

In the caption of the post, the mother of two stated, “Today I will live in gratitude, celebrating & cherishing every single memory we created in life together… thank you for every lesson you taught us, sacrifice you made for us and for the beautiful spirit you graced the world with… May we continue to feel your presence through your absence… and may our eternal love reach you where your spirit resides… Happy Heavenly Birthday my love…”

Mia Jaye Continues To Fight For Justice In Young Dolph’s Death

Though the investigation of Young Dolph’s death has led to the arrests of several men believed to be involved with the murder, Mia Jaye is dissatisfied with the Memphis justice system. A trial was set to begin in June 2024 but has been pushed back to September.

Jaye, who does not seemingly use Instagram often, used the platform to call for justice in her partner’s death. Local Memphis stated the trial was delayed due to the defense attorney’s request. They asked for more time to review the case, and the Memphis prosecutors agreed, much to Jaye’s dismay.

Jaye’s Instagram profile has three pinned posts where she is seeking peace and justice in the case. In one post, she shared the contact information of authorities and law enforcement so that fans can call and advocate for Young Dolph and his family. In another post, Jaye shared her extreme frustration with the trial delay.

“For so long after losing Dolph, my focus was re-stabilizing myself, my household and nurturing my children emotionally, spiritually and mentally. As the case was happening, I noticed weird occurrences but tried not to worry because I placed my faith in the belief that JUSTICE would be had. But learning that faith, absent of works is dead, Ive been forced to change my position and fight (put in the work) for JUSTICE because it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna come automatic,” she wrote in the caption.

She also shared why she feels justice is being interrupted in Dolph’s case, including the changing of judges and possible corruption.

After withdrawing shortly before the finals in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles is determined to succeed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, the gymnastics star suffered a leg injury that caused her to leave the floor for a period of time. Biles’ injury is proving to be minor, as she returned and performed some of the highest scores for the day.

According to ESPN, the gymnast performed her beam routine but had to seek out USA team doctor Marcia Faustin afterward. She was absent for a few minutes but returned to watch her teammates for a while. The outlet also stated that her coach, Cecile Landi, reported that Biles’ injury presented itself a few weeks before traveling to Paris, but it should not keep her from competing. Concerned fans can relax knowing that the gold medalist remains scheduled to compete in all events.

Audio picked up Biles saying that her calf was bothering her. Nevertheless, when the time for her floor routine arrived, she returned with a taped leg, ready to perform. She completed her routine, which is considered one of the hardest in the world, with no mistakes. After she left the mat, she met her other coach, Laurent Landi, with a hug.

“We told her to remind herself like she’s capable of doing it,” Cecile Landi said. “She knows she’s got it, and it’s OK, and then she did. So really excited for her,” Cecile stated.

Biles scored 14.600 for her floor routine. She also participated in the rest of the day’s events, including the vault, in which she scored 15.800, the highest score in the world this year. She also scored 14.733 on the beam and 14.433 on uneven bars, making her overall score 59.566.

“It was pretty amazing, 59.5,” her coach said. “Not perfect, so she can improve even … [but] just really good.”

Biles’ injury did not prevent the athlete from completing her skills, except for a skill she recently submitted to the International Gymnastics Federation on Friday, July 26th. She reverted to her original routine so as not to agitate her injury further.

Though her husband, Jonathan Owens, didn’t know who she was before dating her, Biles is so popular that celebrities are rushing to see the star athlete compete. ESPN stated several stars could be seen in the stands, ready to cheer on the decorated gymnast. Tom Cruise, Snoop Dogg, Ariana Grande, and John Legend could be seen in the audience.

Celebrities are not the only ones starstruck. Many of the world’s best athletes have expressed excitement and are getting the chance to see Biles perform on the world’s biggest athletic stage. She has also been included in many promotional materials for this year’s Olympics. BOSSIP recently reported that Biles was the star of the introduction of the USA team, featuring Beyoncé.

You may recall that Biles received heavy support after pulling out of the Tokyo Olympics due to having the “twisties.” Leg injury or not, Biles is ready to prove she still has it and that they say she is one of the best athletes in the world for a reason.

According to TMZ, the super agent popped the question on Thursday and Adele couldn’t wait to say “yes!” Sources say the notoriously private couple only shared the good news with loved ones so far. The the 30 singer reportedly shared the good news with her family and friends immediately.

“Rich planned for the proposal to be in her hometown, and gave her an incredible four carat diamond ring. They celebrated with champagne at Chiltern Firehouse the following evening,” an insider revealed to The Sun.

The longtime lovebirds have been so close that rumors swirled about whether they might have already tied the knot. At the very least, it seemed like they did everything but get hitched. The power couple already blended families with Adele’s son Angelo from her previous marriage. The singer also previously praised Rich’s eldest child as her “stepdaughter,” and plans to have more children together.

The 36-year-old also referred to their coupledom as “husband” and “wife.”  There have been false alarms before, but this time sounds more like wedding bells.

The source added that, “Adele thinks it’s hilarious that fans reckon they’re already married. It’s been an in-joke. Now everyone is joking that she could make the ultimate wedding singer.”
