Apparently, there are still great people in the world, and they’re all nurses at Touchette Regional Hospital in Illinois. When Illinois dad Darius Hinkle discovered that his one-year old daughter was choking on a penny, he rushed her to the hospital, despite not having a valid drivers license. By the time he actually made it to the ER, more than a handful of police officers were behind him and took him into custody.

Donecia Pittman, the one-year old’s mother, told reporters that when she arrived to the jail to bail her boyfriend out, there was already a woman in front her asking to bail Darius Hinkle. The woman revealed that she was a nurse from the hospital — her and the other nurses chipped in to pay the father’s bond. Hinkle told Fox 2 Now,

“[When I arrived at the hospital] I got out, put my hands up, and I yelled and told the police my baby is choking, I can’t thank [the nurses] enough for both their kindness shown towards me and for saving my little girl.”

Miracles do happen. Shout out to those nurses.
