When you talk bad about Beyoncé, you should already know the hive is gonna come for you.

Months after it was rumored that Beyoncé would make an appearance at the Democratic National Convention, she popped out at a rally in her hometown of Houston, TX to endorse Kamala Harris for president.

During her speech, the “II HANDS II HEAVEN singer” emphasized that she wasn’t on the campaign trail as a celebrity, but rather, as a mother concerned for the well-being of her children.

“I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” Beyoncé said. “A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we’re not divided. Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations. We must vote, and we need you.”

While watching her impassioned speech, it’s safe to say nobody was thinking about Amber Rose–except for Amber Rose, who took the opportunity to accuse Beyoncé of copying her speech from the Republican National Convention back in July.

“My whole world revolves around providing for my children, keeping them safe, and giving them an opportunity for a better life,” Amber said at the time. “That’s something that unites all American parents, whether we’re Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives, or Liberals — we all want a better country for our children.”

While both women are mothers who obviously care for their children, the comparison stops there. After her comment was posted to The Shade Room, fans went in on Amber, and they did not hold back.

“Yall see the difference? Kamala has Beyoncé and Trump has a someone that put a tattoo on their forehead,” one user commented. “Two different kind of people.”

Another wrote, “So Beyoncé copied being a mother? She didn’t copy having to explain who she is tho, clock it.”

Amber obviously saw the backlash, and in response to everyone going in on her, she told TMZ that her comment was just a “troll.”

“I was literally trolling. I literally — I troll with my friends all the time,” she told the outlet in Hollywood on Sunday.

Not only that, Rose went on to say she knows Beyoncé, insisting the two of them have hung out together “plenty of times.”

“I did not think that was going to be international news when I posted that comment,” she said. “But I love Beyoncé, I know Beyoncé. We’ve hung out plenty of times. She’s an amazing girl. But I was lowkey trolling, so.”

As most of us would probably guess, any pictures of the two of them together are from more than a decade ago, when Amber was dating Kanye West. But, hey, if I had a picture with Beyoncé back in 2009, I’d still be talking about it, too!
