Young Thug attempts to broker peace between his friends tweeting Future, Drake, and Metro Boomin a reminder they’re all “bruddas”.

Hip-hip in recent memory has been a group effort of artists collaborating and releasing music portraying the illusion of friendship. Earlier this year the entire culture banded together and decided it was time to kick Drake off the island. Since Future & Metro Boomin released “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar nothing was the same, literally. Drake once again was in a hip-hop battle but this one was different or as he puts it a “20 vs. 1“. Kendrick Lamar came out victor despite of how many people it seemed were complicit in the violence.

Young Thug has been fighting for his freedom in the YSL Rico trial, but his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist assured him he’s very aware of the beef. To kick off the weekend, Young Thug publicly addressed the feud and called for peace on all sides.

When Kendrick Lamar alleged Drake “colonized” Atlanta for his benefit no one spoke up to dismiss the claims. Thug however has always had high praise for Drake and their friendship. Perhaps the most surprising part was Future quickly retweeting Thug’s call for peace. Drake was limited in his shots towards Future claiming he believed Metro Boomin instigated the feud.

Out of all the conspirators in the career assassination of Drake, the hardest one to witness was Future. The former What A Time To Be Alive collaborators have delivered almost a decade of material and several North American tours. The timing of Thug’s tweet is also interesting due to the friends turned enemies planning to attend 21 Savage’s birthday party this weekend.

Peace is always the right call but can egos overlook embarrassment, pedo allegations, and petty slander?
