DJ Pied Piper is from Pittsburgh PA. Home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.DJ Pied Piper moved to Houston Tx. In 1988. He always had a love for music, while hanging out with family & friends. He would always entertain his friends by playing music at every get together. In 1997 DJ Pied Piper was hired by Sixtone Records/Production company as an A&R in charge of finding talented Artist’s. Later that year, DJ Pied Piper hooked up with a High School, by getting her signed to Sixtone Records. Also, later that year Piper was recruited by Chairman of The Board Records, a label that was owned by NBA Hall Of Famer Moses Malone. DJ Pied Piper brought a talented Artist from Houston to the label to do some work. In 1999 after working for Sixtone Records/Chairman of The Board Records, DJ Pied Piper decided to pursue his own dream of being a DJ & teamed up with DJ Royal - T to form Digital Sights & Sounds, a DJ company that did extremely well in Houston.
In 2005 DJ Pied Piper was approached by several club owners to DJ at their club. Later that year after having success in the club scene, DJ Pied Piper was offered a chance to become a club manager at The Playground club. In 2006 DJ Pied Piper was approached by another NBA great Chris Gatling to become the Head DJ at his club called The Coconut Lounge. Later that year DJ Pied Piper decided to further his DJ’ing career & enrolled in Broadcasting School. While attending the school, DJ Pied Piper interned at 97.9 The Box. While there he was mentored by Houston’s legend DJ Jazzie Redd. In 2007 DJ Pied Piper was hired on at Magic 102.5 in Beaumont Tx. After receiving his degree in Broadcasting, in 2007 DJ Pied Piper was hired on at Party 934 an internet Radio Station. While at the Station, DJ Pied Piper was promoted to Music Director.
In 2014, DJ Pied Piper decided it was time to take a leap of faith and create his own platform by creating his own Radio Station 953 JAMZ which officially launched in 2015. In 2016 under the platform that is 953 JAMZ DJ Pied Piper alongside some of his colleagues, JAM FEST was created to give Artist’s a chance to showcase their talent. DJ Pied Piper also brought in several On Air Talent/DJ’s to 953 JAMZ to live out their dreams as a Radio Personality. Later in 2016 DJ Pied Piper created KIDZ JAMZ 2 named after the Legendary Radio Show Name KID’s JAM that was created in the Mid 80’s with such Legends as the Late Great MC Wickett Crickett, Jazzie Redd and Lester Sir Pace.
In 2017 DJ Pied Piper was approached by ILLUSTRA Records to become Head of A&R of the Texas Division. DJ Pied Piper’s role there was to create showcases to discover new talent to bring to the label to offer them a Distribution deal. Later that year DJ Pied Piper won DJ of the Year in San Antonio TX. Also, that year DJ Pied Piper won the MC Wickett Crickett Award and 953 JAMZ won Radio Station of the Year. In 2017 DJ Pied Piper created his Radio Show Love After Dark a slow jam show, which has been rated #1 in Houston.
In 2018 DJ Pied Piper alongside a few colleagues we teamed up to feed the homeless and speak in several schools about the importance of education. 953 JAMZ was rated #1 in Texas. Also, in 2018 DJ Pied Piper was approached by EWO Management to become a judge at their Sshowcases. It has been a way to give back my advice to young Artist’s looking to make their way in the Music Industry.
In 2019 DJ Pied Piper received a Proclamation from Mayor Sylvester Turner here in Houston, as well as receiving a Proclamation from Sate Texas Representative Jarvis Johnson. April 8th is now known as Peter (DJ Pied Piper) Allen Day. Also, in 2019 DJ Pied Piper received an Icon Award and Media Personality of the Year by EWO Entertainment.
