Influencer and entrepreneur Jayda Cheaves is facing major backlash after releasing a promotional and controversial ad for her new Waydamin swimwear collection.

In the video, Cheaves is shown lying on her stomach on a Waydamin beach towel and removing her swimsuit top to rest. Eventually, two young boys appear and steal the top. When she wakes from her nap and realizes the top is gone, she searches for it before running into the ocean wearing only a pair of swim bottoms.

The promotional video left viewers confused and upset, prompting many to criticize its intent in the comments.

One user wrote, “This s**t is weird. If this was a man who took his drawers off to lay on a beach and then some little girls took them and he had to run behind them holding his penis would this still be cute? Over sexualization mixed with children is sickening.”

Jayda Cheaves eventually went online to address the backlash and clarify the situation, stating that the children were not present on set for any scenes involving actual nudity.

“I am the brand.. & the kids were NOWHERE on set after we filmed their scene OBVIOUSLY. Why use somebody else kid when none of this is LITERAL and my son lives to be in front of a camera. It was only right to incorporate him.”

She continued by saying, that she had no ill intentions, and was simply trying to convey an inspiring message to other women.

“I just want anyone commenting to KNOW it’s nothing weird or ill about this video we ACTED out to leave a message and promote my latest launch. Which inspires every woman to feel BEAUTIFUL, FEARLESS, and ACCEPTED WITHIN no matter what.”

However, not all feedback was bad. A lot of her loyal followers and supporters took to the comments to encourage and praise Jayda for her accomplishment on the new swimwear line.

One user wrote, “The growth is amazing 😍 I remember my girl @jaydacheaves first dropped them thermal sets, & the orange thong swim sets and all.” Another user wrote, “This is so tea. I get the concept, it’s like you shooting a movie chile. the girls that get it, get it.. they wouldn’t understand.”

Jayda Cheaves’ new Malibu Capsule is now available to shop. Would you shop the Waydamin swimwear collection? Did you like the promotional video? Let us know your thoughts below!

Agatha All Along -Disney+ FYC Drive In Screening of ‘Falcon and the Winter Solder’ and WandaVision - 12 June 2021

Source: Penske Media / Getty

Years after Marvel’s “WandaVision” we’re officially going back to Westview for “Agatha All Along” starring your favorite messy neighbor.

One of the few blessings during the pandemic was Marvel Studios’ early release of “WandaVision“. The show was a fresh approach to comic-book shows and moved the storyline forward following Avengers: Endgame. The show features Wanda Maximoff in the years after dealing with the loss of Vision and becoming The Scarlet Witch.

The show also introduces us to her deceitful Westview neighbor who’s filed with ill intentions. Agatha Harkness is the character you love to hate and quickly became a fan favorite. Also, she spawned one of the best theme songs ever “Agatha All Along” which was nominated for a Grammy.

By the end of the show Wanda has Agatha under a spell and we thought we wouldn’t see her again.

However, Disney and Marvel Studios had other plans with a Kathryn Hahn spinoff show as Agatha that’s undergone extensive name changes. However, the name changes were spun into a marketing tactic alleging Agatha was playing games with us the viewers.

The first trailer is out and starts off leaving everyone confused as Agatha is now a detective. Agatha is unpredictable and her portraying a member of law enforcement is not surprising. She will manipulate anyone with her witchcraft in an attempt to obtain more power. The show officially hits Disney+ on September 18.

You can catch your first look at the return of Westview’s favorite witch below.

Keith Lee is clarifying that his annoyed response to a BET Awards midshow mixup had nothing to do with Taraji P. Henson.  “That wasn’t my rose, that wasn’t my moment,” said the food critic.

As previously reported Taraji mixed up TikToker Jordan Howlett a.k.a. Jordan Thee Stallion with TikToker Keith Lee during the ceremony in a cringeworthy moment before apologizing.

“I got caught up in my own inner monologue, I’m so sorry,” she said while ordering her skit partner to give him a rose.

And while BET Awards watchers moved on from the awkward moment, an apparently annoyed Keith Lee posted and deleted a shady message.

“Our name will be known in every room its supposed to be; when it’s supposed to be, how it supposed, with no confusion. God is amazing #Thankful,” he posted on TikTok accoding to TheNeighborhoodTalk.

Numerous Taraji P. Henson fans thought the food reviewer was shading Taraji, but he’s since clarified that his post was actually aimed at BET production for rushing to put the on-camera moment together.

Keith Lee Denies Shading Taraji P. Henson Over BET Awards Blunder

“First and foremost, I want to start by saying I am not upset at Taraji P. Henson by any stretch of the imagination,” said Lee on his official TikTok account. “Not only that but in my opinion, she smoked it last night. I don’t think for one second Taraji had any ill will or any ill intentions behind the situation. The situation happened the way it did. It is what it is.”

He continued and explained why he tossed the rose that was given to him in the sketch.

“The reason I did this had nothing to do with Taraji P. Henson,” he said. “I wholeheartedly believe that wasn’t my rose, that wasn’t my moment it was given to me but it wasn’t mine. I want what’s meant for me, nothing less, no more.”

“The entire segment on the production side felt extremely rushed,” he added. “Not only did it feel rushed, it did not feel intentional. It did not feel purposeful.”

He went on to acknowledge that while he was grateful to be at the awards show with his wife, he would’ve preferred to stay seated in his original seats rather than move for what was supposed to be a funny bit.

“I’ve always spoken about my social anxiety, and for me just to get out and be in that moment was more than enough for me,” said Lee. “So to take me and my wife out of our seats, put us in different seats, give Taraji no direction to who we are and what we do felt extremely unprepared and unprofessional to me.”

He continued,

“I never longed for the spotlight, if I ever wanted the spotlight I would’ve accepted a quarter of the opportunities that’s been presented to us. Never once was I upset that Taraji didn’t know who I was.”

What do YOU think about Keith Lee clarifying his BET Awards reaction post? Did YOU think he was shading Taraji?

Shaq Apologies To Drake Over the “BBL DRIZZY” Meme He Shared

Shaq took a moment on The Big Podcast to issue an apology to Drake over the “BBL DRIZZY” meme he shared on social media. He insist he wasn’t trolling and meant no harm and hopes Drake found it funny.

Shaq responds to accusations he was trolling Drake by sharing a BBL Drizzy meme on social media, insisting he wasn’t trolling.

In the aftermath of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef “Not Like Us” and “BBL Drizzy” are still ringing off everywhere. The tides have turned against Drake and everyone is getting their turn kicking his back in. It’s a trend that only Drake can change with good music but until then the jokes will fly.

Recently Shaq joined in on the slander sharing a photo of himself holding Drake with a BBL.

According to HipHopDX, Shaq regrets sharing the meme after people thought he was intentionally disrespecting Drake.

“Let me apologize right quick,” the 52-year-old began. “The mistake I made was I should’ve said ‘Who did this?’.. Listen, Drake has a great sense of humor, so I thought it was funny that they did it.”

On The Big Podcast, the legendary hooper reveals he didn’t make it and figured Drake would laugh at it too.

“Like I saw ‘Shaq’s Trolling’ — no, I’m not trolling. I didn’t Photoshop it; somebody Photoshopped it […] I thought it was funny and, hopefully, [Drake] thought it was funny too. But once it went viral, I definitely took it down.”

We understand Shaq was trying to be funny but we think it’s too early to reflect and laugh at the beef. When the word is kicking your back on the same topic, there’s no humor in it. Hopefully, Drake and Shaq can connect soon and clear the air and maybe share a laugh on a different topic.

You can watch the apology below.
