The ‘Standard of Excellence’ Hampton University continues to raise the bar for HBCUs with its prestigious pedigree, gorgeous campus, and standard-setting stunners who proved, once again, that they’re the baddest in the land at this year’s Homecoming by the Sea in Hampton, Virginia.

According to the recent UNCF “Transforming Futures: The Economic Engine of HBCUs” report, Hampton ranks as the #1 HBCU in economic impact in the Commonwealth of Virginia with an underrated Homecoming experience that attracted major sponsors like Google, PepsiCo., Remy Martin, and United Airlines this year.

Founded in 1868 as Hampton Agricultural and Industrial School, the storied pillar of higher education is a “dynamic, progressive institution of higher education, providing a broad range of technical, liberal arts, and graduate degree programs,” according to its site.

On Monday, Nov. 4, Madame Tussauds New York revealed a brand-new wax figure of the best-selling female artist of all time: Mariah Carey. Ahead of her Christmas Time Tour, Carey met her wax figure in New York City, posing next to the figure and making everyone do a double-take!

Wearing a sparkly outfit inspired by Marilyn Monroe and reminiscent of the promo shoot from her 2020 Apple TV+ Original holiday special, Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas, this wax figure features a sparkling red sequined gown. Surrounding the figure is a huge wreath with twinkling lights, all topped off with a red bow.

This stunning figure took just over nine months to create, being put together by 20 studio artists who sculpted, painted and individually inserted each piece of hair to achieve Mimi’s perfect likeness.

“Oh my gosh, it’s surreal. I never would have believed how life-like my wax figure would be!” Carey said upon seeing her figure. “The whole room is a complete transformation into Christmastime and it feels like the perfect home for my wax figure!”

Guests are invited to cozy up with Timothée Chalamet in a romantic fall setting, grab a bite at the Park Corner Café & Bar, and—of course—bask in a Christmas wonderland with Carey herself!”

“We are absolutely honored to welcome the iconic Mariah Carey to the museum,” Head of Marketing Tiago Mogadouro said. “As a living legend whose music and influence have shaped generations, she is the perfect figure to highlight in the Christmas portion of the new Seasons of New York. Tiffany, a plus-sized fashion designer struggling to save her late mother’s boutique, has sacrificed everything to keep the business afloat while dreaming of launching her own line. Cardi B is never one to mince words online and X owner Elon Musk just found out the hard way when she dragged him

In response to her appearance at the Milwaukee rally of presidential hopeful Kamala Harris, Musk took to his X account to throw dirt on her political name.

“Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words,” he said. “The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy.”

A Donald Trump supporter namedropping empathy is truly…something. Social media users quickly came to Cardi‘s defense but she didn’t need it as she was more than ready to clap back.

“I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their a** off to provide for me!,” she responded. “I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm.”

Honestly, stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to and get that block list back hidden, Elon!

Cardi kept it real with Harris supporters in Milwaukee, revealing that she originally intended to not vote this election season.

“I did not have faith in any candidates…until she said the things that I wanted to hear,” she said.

But in the end, she saw a similarity between she and Harris that helped seal her decision to publicly endorse her.

“Just like Kamala Harris, I too have been the underdog. I have been underestimated, my success belittled and discredited,” she continued. “Women have to work ten times harder, perform ten times better and still people question how we got to the top. I believe in every word that comes out of her mouth. She’s passionate, she’s compassionate, she shows empathy, and most of all, she’s not delusional.”

This isn’t the first time Cardi has used her celebrity for good in the political sphere. Ahead of the 2020 election, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper sat down with Democratic candidate, Bernie Sanders, to talk about the hot button issues of the time. She endorsed Sanders as “a natural humanitarian” and felt he was the best choice to lead the country. However, the Vermont senator failed to secure the party’s nomination over Joe Biden, who went on to win the election.

As allegations continue surfacing about Sean “Diddy” Combs’  infamous parties, it might be a while before the public gets all the details because attendees were reportedly forced to sign NDAs.

According to TMZ, Diddy’s NDA was a standard agreement. The signed document says that party attendees can’t share information related to the disgraced music mogul himself, partners, family members, friends, and business associates. The NDA also prevents signees from photographing, filming, or recording Diddy or anyone around him without written consent. The document also names social media platforms in which attendees cannot post photos or videos of the Bad Boy founder without permission. Additionally, signees are asked not to give interviews, write books, or discuss anything about Diddy or things seen at his parties.

The non-disclosure agreement seems to cover anything that could get the rapper into trouble. However, Diddy’s NDA does expire. TMZ states that the signed document is valid for the length of Diddy’s life plus 20 years or 70 years, whichever is longer.

Nevertheless, the NDA didn’t keep the authorities out of his business. As BOSSIP reported, the father of seven is currently awaiting trial in the MDC Brooklyn jail. He was arrested in September on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Diddy’s NDA Didn’t Save Him From Key To The City Revocations

Though Diddy’s NDA sounds airtight, the public already knows some of his deepest secrets, leading to the revocation of his key to the city of Miami. According to TMZ, the city of Miami has asked for their key back as Diddy’s legal woes continue to surge.

Diddy was first awarded the key to the city of Miami in 2015 after his former media company, Revolt, held the Revolt Music Conference in the waterfront city. However, after the release of footage showing him assaulting Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, many sexual assault allegations, and his arrest, Miami has officially stripped him of his key.

TMZ revealed Miami Beach’s mayor, Steven Meiner, and the city commission voted unanimously on the matter. Meiner is set to sign off on the decision soon. Joe Magazine, David Suarez, Tanya Katzoff Bhatt, and Alex Fernandez were commissioners who sponsored the resolution.

This decision comes after Miami Beach also revoked Sean Diddy Combs Day, which occurred on October 13 annually. The date was rescinded in June 2024, shortly after the surveillance footage of him and Cassie was released.

This is not Diddy’s first time losing a key to the city. You may recall in June, BOSSIP reported Diddy’s return of his key to the city of New York. Mayor Eric Adams sent a letter asking for the honorary key back, and Diddy obliged. The keys to Miami Beach and New York are among several revocations that Diddy has faced. Howard University revoked the honorary degree he received in 2014. His ownership of Revolt was also rescinded and sold back to the employees.

Diddy’s representatives have not released a statement regarding his key to the city of Miami Beach.

Vince Carter’s jersey retirement was overshadowed by Drake claiming he’d rip down Demar DeRozan’s hypothetical retired jersey.

Last night the NBA and the Toronto Raptors finally retired the jersey of hoop icon Vince Carter. A night celebrating the franchise’s first retired jersey quickly went viral for all the wrong reasons. The game featured the Raptors facing the Demar DeRozan and the Sacramento Kings. Raptors ambassador Drake was on hand for the special occasion and eventually made his way on the live broadcast.

When broadcasters inquired Drake’s opinion on potentially retiring DeRozan’s jersey the Candiana didn’t hold back.

“If you ever put a DeRozan banner up I’ll go up there and pull it down myself….shout out to Kyle” a hostile Drake proclaimed.

DeRozan was mentioned in Kendrick Lamar’s beefing ending hit “Not Like Us” and appeared in the following video. Toronto and Drake helped develop DeRozan into an NBA star, so it’s understandable that Drizzy is in his feelings.

Later the game cameras caught Drizzy mumbling “f*ck out of here P***y” as Demar passed by.

Demar was asked about the 6 God’s comments and shrugged them off by stating Drake and his beige rage would have a long way to climb. Later the Kings star would hop on Instagram to post Smokey from the movie Friday discussing his actions when Deebo does away. Seemingly clowning Drake for talking trash as he walked away.

Presidential candidate Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live alongside comedian Maya Rudolph, whose impression of her has become iconic.

Harris joined the comedian for the opening sequence of the show on Saturday, Nov. 2 to do a cute skit riffing on the uncanny resemblance between the two. The sitting Vice President also got a few jabs in on her opposing candidate, Donald Trump.

“I’m just here to remind you, you got this,” Harris said. “Because you can do something your opponent cannot do: You can open doors.”

Oop. And that’s on the garbage truck.

The pep talk between the two continued with more riffs on Harris’ first name.

“Take my palm-ala,” Rudolph said. “The American people want to stop the chaos.”

Harris continued,

“And end the dram-ala.”

Harris has had positive words for Rudolph’s portrayal of her throughout this election season. When the Vice President appeared on an episode of The View, she commended the comedian for her accuracy.

“Maya Rudolph — I mean, she’s so good,” Harris said. “She had the whole thing, the suit, the jewelry, everything!”

Still, during her appearance on SNL, she questioned whether Rudolph was overemphasizing her signature chuckle.

“I don’t really laugh like that, do I?,” she said.

To which Rudolph responded,

“A little bit.”

Harris’ appearance was met with a roaring applause from the live studio audience of SNL as well as adoring commentary on social media. The presidential hopeful is on the last leg of her road to the White House as Election Day looms over the country.

Busch Light has teamed up with country artist Breland, using his songwriting skills to tell fan stories for “Busch For That.”

Some collaborations are so perfect you wonder how they haven’t happened sooner. Busch grabbed country artist BRELAND to help them uniquely tell fan stories through music. BRELAND has previously been crowned the “king of collabs” by the Associated Press. Also, he is an ACM Lift Every Voice Award-winner for classics like “My Truck” with Sam Hunt and “Throw It Back” with Keith Urban. When it comes to lyrics “The Pen Point Guard” crafting lyrics from Busch Light fans for a country record is easy work.

“Songwriting and producing is how I began my career in music. Nights turn into dawn when I’m entrenched in a song and putting the right flow to what I’m trying to say. Lyrics connect us all – artists and listeners alike. When Busch Light approached me with the idea of sourcing real-life stories from fans to build into my lyrics, there was no way I could turn that down. I can’t wait to hear these stories and create a song that we can all raise our glasses to.”- BRELAND shared in a press release.

The partnership continues Busch’s effort to platform talent artists. Previously, the brand enlisted Priscilla Block and Riley Green. Combining elite talent and fans in passionate and connected ways has been Busch’s heartbeat. Since the 1980s, the brand has always pushed the limit on reaching fans and consumers and keeping them engaged with the brand.

On Friday, the rapper officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris at the candidate’s Milwaukee rally.

In an impassioned speech, she denounced Donald Trump‘s candidacy, citing women’s rights as the main issue.

Cardi B has never been shy when it comes to politics and you may recall that in May, the rapper pledged to sit this election out.

At the time, President Joe Biden was still in the running and many including Cardi were concerned about Biden’s health and age. However, after Vice President Harris spent some time on the campaign trail, she convinced the mother of three to reconsider.

“She changed my mind completely,” said Cardi at Kamala’s rally on Friday, “I did not have faith in any candidate until she joined the race and said the things that I wanted to hear, that I wanted to see next in this country.”

She also took time to inform the audience of Trump’s plan to swindle American voters and claimed he doesn’t believe women deserve rights. She highlighted women’s rights in her speech as she closely related her backstory to Harris.’

“Just like Kamala Harris, I too have been the underdog. I’ve been underestimated, my success belittled and discredited. Let me tell you something. Women have to work 10 times harder, perform 10 times better, and still, people question us, how we got to the top,” she declared.

She also insinuated that Trump is a bully, but Harris can beat him.

“I can’t stand a bully, but just like Kamala, I always stand up to one,” she stated.

During her speech, Cardi helped viewers and voters better understand Harris’ plan for the American people.

She discussed the VP’s plan to end price gouging in grocery stores and mortgage down payment assistance. Most of her speech, however, was dedicated to women’s right to choose.

Abortion rights have been a major topic in the 2024 presidential elections, as Harris has made it a focal point of her campaign.

As BOSSIP reported in 2022, the Supreme Court overturned the Roe vs. Wade verdict, giving states the right to ban abortions. In his campaign, Trump stated he had no plan to help reinstate the verdict. However, Cardi B pointed out that he said he would be a “protector” of women.

To that, the femcee said;

“People like Donald Trump don’t believe women deserve rights, and when those rights are taken away, they are nowhere to be found,” said Cardi.”If [Trump’s] definition of protection is not the freedom of choice, if his definition of protection is making sure our daughters have fewer rights than our mothers, then I don’t want it,” she added.

The “I Like It” rapper also spoke about Trump’s “hustling ways.”

“Hustling women out of their rights to their body is nasty work. Hustling Americans out of their hard earned money by selling Trump watches, Trump sneakers and Trump Bible — by the way, the watches is $100,000, made in China, another country he discredited — is nasty too,” she said.

Cardi B is one of several celebrities who have endorsed Kamala Harris.
