2024 has a been a hell of a year and yesterday things escalated to a new level.

President Joe Biden announced that he was dropping out of the presidential race after previously taking a defiant tone toward those suggesting that he should do so. The surprising declaration came in the wake of “Democrats” like Senator Joe Manchin coming out publicly to plead with a seemingly ailing Biden to remove himself from the campaign.

President Biden didn’t chunk a deuce before giving a full-throated endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris to take the reins and defeat Donald Trump in November.

Despite the “Where’s Waldo?” criticism that VP Harris has received over the course of the Biden administration, the news of her potential candidacy (We say “potential” because there is still a process that has to take place for her to become the official candidate. However, it’s a bit of a foregone conclusion) was met with extreme excitement by Black women who appeared even more invigorated to mobilize with the idea of “President Kamala Harris” standing before them.

An organization called Win With Black Women held an open Zoom call that moderator Jotaka Eaddy says reached 40,000 viewers at its peak.

The call garnered so much support that $1.5 million was raised in just 3 hours!

Skepticism around whether or not VP Harris can defeat Trump is divisively deep, however, this type of fundraising has to be noted as a sign of a base that is more ready to fight now than they were with an octogenarian white man with waning support from inside the party.

It isn’t just organizations like Win With Black Women who made it rain on them Joes. According to Newsweek’s reporting, another grassroots operation called ActBlue took in donations that tallied $46.7 million within a business day’s time of Biden’s big announcement. Several hours later, it was reported by KTVU that the number had risen to $60 million.

Time to punch the clock. Election day is right around the corner.

Nike tapped supervillain-playing William DeFoe for its latest Olympic ad featuring LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Serena Williams, and more.

When you name the greatest comic book villains of all time at some point on your list you name Williams DeFoe. His distinctively chilling voice is perfect for voice-over work. Unfortunately, we never get much of that type of work from him but thanks to Nike he’s narrating their latest ad.

Nike is known for amazing commercials and with the Olympics getting under way they had to bring it.

According to Complex, Nike unleashed their latest ad featuring all their top stars with DeFoe holding down the narrating duties. Perfectly titled “Winning Isn’t for Everyone”, the advertisement highlights the sacrifices their top stars made to become great.

LeBron James, Serena Williams, Sha’Carri Richardson, Kobe Bryant, A’Ja Wilson, Victor Wenbamyama, and more star in the nearly 2-minute commercial.

Kevin Durant was surprisingly left out of the ad and made sure to address it on Instagram.

“@Nike tell me, am I a bad person????” he wrote on his InstaStory.

Hopefully, KD’s absence was an error on Nike’s part as he’s very much on their roster of athletes and playing for Team USA Men’s Basketball team.

These days, more and more people are seeking therapy, including Kim Kardashian. On on the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim sits down with the mother of two to discuss her decision to return to treatment. While doing so, she suggests that Khloé join her on the “journey.” Apparently, her sister is not the only one who thinks counseling will do Khloé some good.

While at lunch with one of her best friends, Malika Haqq, they began discussing the now 40-year-old’s birthday. Haqq stated that the mother of two should celebrate big and suggested she goes on an Eat Pray Love adventure, similar to the bestselling book by Elizabeth Gilbert and the movie starring Julia Roberts. Khloé quickly shot down the idea, claiming it would not go well. Haqq pushed further, stating that the adventure could be therapeutic for her.

“It’s indirect therapy,” Malika stated. “It’s like the kind of therapy you want to do.”

Having heard the word “therapy” again, Khloé asks her friend if she thinks she needs therapy, to which she replies, “A hundred percent.”

After two different people suggested that Khloé begin a healing journey with a therapist, The Kardashians star clarified that she had tried therapy. She also claims that she shopped around, looking for the right therapist, and has gone through three or four different people.

“I’ve never connected. I’m like, ‘I just told you my whole life story. Every dark demonic thing and you’re just gonna be like, ‘Okay.’ I never got any guidance”

According to the reality TV star, she specifically tried to seek counseling before her son, Tatum, arrived in 2022. Nevertheless, her bestie, Malika, gathered that the therapist she tried was not the right one for her. Khloé then revealed that every therapist she’s been to has treated her the same. She later stated in a confessional scene that one therapist suggested that she doesn’t need counseling.

“I was actually told by one therapist that I didn’t need therapy because I process things so matter-of-fact. I don’t know. It was a strange encounter,” she admitted.

Khloé also disclosed that she sought therapy after Lamar Odom’s cheating and drug scandal broke. However, her therapist wasn’t sure how to help her due to her calm demeanor.

“My husband, I found him at a drug den in a motel and, like, I was saying something, but [my therapist asked], ‘So do you get upset?’” she stated.

Her therapist later told her that she didn’t think Khloé actually needed her, “I was like, ‘What? Is she firing me?’” Khloé asked. “I think I got broken up with by a therapist.”

Though she has had trouble finding the right therapist, Kim Kardashian’s sister is still open to the idea and agrees that she may need it. Still, she doesn’t feel like she is struggling enough to be dire.

“I’m sure I need therapy. I just don’t think I’m struggling, and I’m like, ‘I can’t find my way. I need a therapist.’ I’m like, ‘Okay, yeah, I’ll try therapy.’” she said.

After many years of tension, Khloé is seemingly in a good place as she co-parents with her children’s father and habitual cheater, Tristan Thompson.

Angela Simmons is hearing beautiful muuuursic wedding bells for her and rapper Yo Gotti.

In a recent sit-down on The Breakfast Club, the reigning Queen of cringe expressed plans for a future with her boyfriend of two years. When asked if she sees marriage in the future for the couple, she said,

“Yeah, definitely. I’m too old to be playing games. I’m in it.”

The pair have been an item since 2022, a full seven years after Yo Gotti let the whole world know that he had “a crush on Angela Simmons”.

Though there were rumors circulating about a possible split between the two, they seem to be happier than ever and serious about their love.

So much so, that Simmons has seemingly picked up a little Memphis twang from spending so much time with her boo. During one section of her interview, Breakfast Club Charlamagne Tha God mentioned hearing a Southern accent in her responses.

“It’s probably my man, it’s probably the influence of my man,” Simmons said.

Girl, ok.

Of course, social media was not going to let her get off easy.

The Shade Room posted a clip of her interview and the comments quickly became a roasting session. However, some users felt that it’s just part of dating and spending time with the same person. RHOA star Porsha Williams chimed in saying,

“Ha I love this !! yass baby go all in for love . accent included.”

Of course.

One thing for sure, two things for certain: Ms. Simmons is going to get to a bag in between giving us all secondhand embarrassment. She also took the opportunity to announce her partnership with Slutty Vegan for her vegan Angela’s Cakes line.

Social media had a lot to say about how she chose to promote her new vegan fried Oreos that will be available exclusively at the New York locations of the popular eatery; however, Angela seems to be having the last laugh.

The famous cookie company seems to be on board with her marketing ploy which just means that the check has cleared. And we truly love to see it.

She went on to recount how “deeply grateful” she is for Biden and his family including First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and his late son Beau who told her about the President’s “honesty and integrity” and “his love of our country and the American people.”

“With this selfless and patriotic act, President Biden is doing what he has done throughout his life of service: putting the American people and our country above everything else,” she added of President Biden’s decision to not seek reelection.

She then confirmed that she was “honored to have the President’s endorsement” and said she intended to “earn and win this nomination.”

“Over the past year, I have traveled across the country, talking with Americans about the clear choice in this momentous election. And that is what I will continue to do in the days and weeks ahead. I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party—and unite our nation—to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda. “We have 107 days until Election Day. Together, we will fight. And together, we will win.”

Her statement comes amid President Barack Obama and Forever Flotus Michelle Obama releasing a joint statement backing her.

President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Clinton have responded in kind.

Both baddies have exchanged several shady shots, leading fans to wonder how close the bars came to blows at the BET Awards when Latto and Ice Spice performed disses directed toward each other. Even the title for Big Mama’s upcoming album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, seems as much a nod to her southern roots as a direct challenge to her rap rival’s jabs on “Think U The S**t (Fart).”

Of course, after Latto shared her love of a heated artistic exchange like Kendrick vs. Drake, Billboard asked if she set her sights on Ice Spice. Even after claiming no shade behind her response, fans think Latto still gave a little “Not Like Us” energy about a potential rap beef. We didn’t forget Latto pulling up in Ice Spice’s hometown to film her “Sunday Service” music video.

Latto is down to fire lethal lyrics back and forth, but the viral redhead isn’t the opponent she has in mind. The 777 star rejected the idea because she and Ice Spice aren’t in the “lane,” but some suspect that also meant they’re not even on the same level. Is there any truth to that or are internet instigators just trying to fuel the feud?

“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like I’mma go tit-for-tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef,’” Latto explained.

Oop! Perhaps this is an admission that their tension is about competing for success more than a personal issue with each other. Latto claimed a little shade here and there just comes with the territory. That’s not the same as going as hard as “Family Matters” and “Meet The Grahams.”

“Everybody gon’ take their lil jabs in the music, and it’s not even that serious to me; I feel like you should do that. Continue to! But as far as actual whole diss records to each other, I don’t think she would even want to do that. I feel like… would it even make sense? It wouldn’t,” she concluded.

Latto and Ice Spice are both rising rap stars, but there’s no shortage of opportunities to go around in the industry. Regardless of a little shady intent about beefing, the historic Birthday Bash headliner sees her biggest competition as herself.

In the interview with Billboard, she opened up about evolving as an artist for her third album, which drops in August. With a decade of experience under her belt, Latto is more determined than ever to push her pen and performance to a new level.

For the “Shoutout To Me” star, that means outgrowing the ClayCo Cake clapping. Instead, she focused on a cohesive and curated album that RCA Records president Mark Pitts compared to Lil’ Kim.

“The whole album is the single. It’s a story — it ain’t just hot records. I haven’t loved a female rap album since Lil’ Kim. There’s songs I love, but an album? This album, from top to bottom, is that. She put in work and it’s curated,” Pitts proudly said.

High praise from high places! And things are only going up from here as Latto enters a new, more mature era. When it comes to new material, there is no shortage in the growth from 21 to 25.

“I feel like I became a woman. Everybody used to tell me, ‘Oh, when you turn 25, something is going to change in your brain.’ I really feel like it did. I’ve had new relationships, I bought my first house, signed deals, fell out with people. Every year that I’ve been in the industry, I feel like I’ve reached more success, so there’s just more s**t to talk about,” she explained.

“Shortly after I turned 25, I just started looking at life as more limitless,” she continued.

In addition to a new and improved Latto, fans can look forward to musical inspiration from Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Lil’ Kim, and Kelis, “but obviously with a Southern hip-hop twist. They have very feminine energy, but masculine in the sense of confidence. I feel like they was boss b***hes. It just gave ‘I’m that girl.’”

It’s unclear whether we’ll see Latto truly flex in a rap beef anytime soon, but she still plans to come out swinging on her new album.

The former NWA rapper recently visited the PBD Podcast and spoke about several subjects, including the Diddy drama. However, he didn’t have many negative things to say, which is a rare occurrence. The podcast host, Patrick Bet-David, asked the rapper about his interactions with Puffy, and according to Complex, Ice Cube said that Diddy was “cool.”

The “Good Day” rapper stated that he worked with Diddy and his producers on his 1998 War & Peace Volume 1 project and he didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Bet-David then dug a little more, asking Ice Cube what his reaction was when he heard about Diddy’s legal troubles.

“How could you be surprised with anything that happens in hip-hop?” he stated. “Hip-hop is the wild west. You gonna have the good, you gonna have the bad, you gonna have the ugly.”

The host stated that Diddy may be a target, and Ice Cube thought so, too.

“I believe he’s being targeted,” Ice said. “I believe somebody has the power to pull the trigger to make this stuff, this domino effect, happen.”

Ice Cube went on to admit that he didn’t know all the information about the situation.

“I don’t know enough to even be able to be specific on any of this stuff. This is all just speculation. I just know he was cool up until a point and this stuff started happening,” he admitted.

Shortly after the podcast episode was released, a clip of the interview began circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter. As expected, many of the comments were disappointed in the rapper’s comments.

As the backlash ensued, Ice Cube took to X to defend himself.

An X user hilariously replied that it may have been Diddy’s crimes that tipped off the federal investigation.

Some users were not surprised by Cube’s comments, citing that his support for Trump in 2020 put him on Black Twitter probation.

Other users pointed out that there is tangible proof of Diddy’s abuse, making the other allegations against him plausible. As you may recall, CNN released surveillance footage of Diddy physically abusing Cassie at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. The father of seven eventually apologized for the abuse with an Instagram video that’s been deleted.

Some users are defending Ice Cube, stating that he never said Diddy wasn’t guilty but was just being targeted.

Regardless of Ice Cube’s thoughts on the matter, the Bad Boy founder will eventually face his legal troubles. The federal investigation is still ongoing, and no arrests have been made.

Born on January 12, 1950, in Queens, New York, Jackson Lee was one of the first women to graduate from Yale University. According to CNN, she went on to serve as a Houston municipal judge and city councilwoman before being elected to represent Texas’ 18th Congressional District in 1994.

“This post is for all the ones that are interested in the forehead and dark circles that I am proud to have inherited from my Daddy,” she captioned the fresh faced post. “No filters or makeup on the face that God has blessed me with at 59. The Harveys are celebrating their 17th anniversary, and Marjorie has been documenting some opulent adventures for all of us poors.

The happy couple seem to have completely shut down pesky cheating rumors from earlier this year that claimed the two were headed towards divorce. Nothing a little time on a yacht can’t cure.

Influencer and entrepreneur Jayda Cheaves is facing major backlash after releasing a promotional and controversial ad for her new Waydamin swimwear collection.

In the video, Cheaves is shown lying on her stomach on a Waydamin beach towel and removing her swimsuit top to rest. Eventually, two young boys appear and steal the top. When she wakes from her nap and realizes the top is gone, she searches for it before running into the ocean wearing only a pair of swim bottoms.

The promotional video left viewers confused and upset, prompting many to criticize its intent in the comments.

One user wrote, “This s**t is weird. If this was a man who took his drawers off to lay on a beach and then some little girls took them and he had to run behind them holding his penis would this still be cute? Over sexualization mixed with children is sickening.”

Jayda Cheaves eventually went online to address the backlash and clarify the situation, stating that the children were not present on set for any scenes involving actual nudity.

“I am the brand.. & the kids were NOWHERE on set after we filmed their scene OBVIOUSLY. Why use somebody else kid when none of this is LITERAL and my son lives to be in front of a camera. It was only right to incorporate him.”

She continued by saying, that she had no ill intentions, and was simply trying to convey an inspiring message to other women.

“I just want anyone commenting to KNOW it’s nothing weird or ill about this video we ACTED out to leave a message and promote my latest launch. Which inspires every woman to feel BEAUTIFUL, FEARLESS, and ACCEPTED WITHIN no matter what.”

However, not all feedback was bad. A lot of her loyal followers and supporters took to the comments to encourage and praise Jayda for her accomplishment on the new swimwear line.

One user wrote, “The growth is amazing 😍 I remember my girl @jaydacheaves first dropped them thermal sets, & the orange thong swim sets and all.” Another user wrote, “This is so tea. I get the concept, it’s like you shooting a movie chile. the girls that get it, get it.. they wouldn’t understand.”

When JT dropped her Cindy Cinderella mixtape, she shook the scene and let the chopper sing with several shady shots seemingly targeting Cardi B.

On Friday, JT released her solo debut mixtape, City  Cinderella. In addition to making a claim for her place on the throne, she fiercely flames her rap rivals at the top like Cardi B. The City Girls star came out the gate swinging big at Bardi on “Intro (Hope).” JT dragged her about a raunchy rumored NSFW performance, despite Cardi denying that was her in the viral video.

“Non-rapping b***h, who the f**k you talking to? I was off in Saks, Gucci alligator bags/While you were laying on your back and stuffin’ bottles up your a**,” she rapped.

Fans quickly clocked the reference, but they don’t think JT stopped there. On “Lemon Pepper” featuring Stunna Girl, JT got her lick back for Cardi’s social media shade of calling her “prison pants” in a beef a few years ago.

“JT a convicted felon and I’m still on they a**/These Rick Owens, boo, these ain’t prison pants,” JT flexed.

“Smokin’ on some s**t smell like a b***h floppin’ down/

Used to be the s**t, look at that b***h floppin’ now,” she added.

What Listeners Can Look Forward To On City Cinderella

The Jeezy remix of “OKAY” already reached No. 22 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts. City Cinderella also features DJ Khaled on “Oh” and Clip on “All Stars. While JT solidified herself as a solo artist on the latest release under Quality Control, she emphasized to Paper magazine that this is just a taste of what’s to come. There’s a big difference between pushing out the EP and the energy she’d pour into a future album.

“People work on their albums for a year, albums are just different. So City Cinderella is not my first album, being that I made this project so damn fast. I had to create this project throughout the tour and moving around, so I didn’t have time to really nurture and doctor it. This is just something that I’m putting out with my pure instincts,” JT explained.

Between reigniting beef with Cardi B and throwing shade at GloRilla’s “man voice” on “Star of the Show,” JT has everyone talking.

As City Cinderella takes over social media feeds with its quotable lyrics and clapbacks, JT the solo star is just getting started. It sounds like JT has put some serious thought into approaching a full album in the future. Until then, fans can enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at JT’s solo debut in the making.
