After withdrawing shortly before the finals in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles is determined to succeed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, the gymnastics star suffered a leg injury that caused her to leave the floor for a period of time. Biles’ injury is proving to be minor, as she returned and performed some of the highest scores for the day.

According to ESPN, the gymnast performed her beam routine but had to seek out USA team doctor Marcia Faustin afterward. She was absent for a few minutes but returned to watch her teammates for a while. The outlet also stated that her coach, Cecile Landi, reported that Biles’ injury presented itself a few weeks before traveling to Paris, but it should not keep her from competing. Concerned fans can relax knowing that the gold medalist remains scheduled to compete in all events.

Audio picked up Biles saying that her calf was bothering her. Nevertheless, when the time for her floor routine arrived, she returned with a taped leg, ready to perform. She completed her routine, which is considered one of the hardest in the world, with no mistakes. After she left the mat, she met her other coach, Laurent Landi, with a hug.

“We told her to remind herself like she’s capable of doing it,” Cecile Landi said. “She knows she’s got it, and it’s OK, and then she did. So really excited for her,” Cecile stated.

Biles scored 14.600 for her floor routine. She also participated in the rest of the day’s events, including the vault, in which she scored 15.800, the highest score in the world this year. She also scored 14.733 on the beam and 14.433 on uneven bars, making her overall score 59.566.

“It was pretty amazing, 59.5,” her coach said. “Not perfect, so she can improve even … [but] just really good.”

Biles’ injury did not prevent the athlete from completing her skills, except for a skill she recently submitted to the International Gymnastics Federation on Friday, July 26th. She reverted to her original routine so as not to agitate her injury further.

All Of The Stars Came To See Simone

Though her husband, Jonathan Owens, didn’t know who she was before dating her, Biles is so popular that celebrities are rushing to see the star athlete compete. ESPN stated several stars could be seen in the stands, ready to cheer on the decorated gymnast. Tom Cruise, Snoop Dogg, Ariana Grande, and John Legend could be seen in the audience.

Celebrities are not the only ones starstruck. Many of the world’s best athletes have expressed excitement and are getting the chance to see Biles perform on the world’s biggest athletic stage. She has also been included in many promotional materials for this year’s Olympics. BOSSIP recently reported that Biles was the star of the introduction of the USA team, featuring Beyoncé.

The video shows Scott saying goodbye to a man and a woman before hopping into the vehicle. A few other people followed the pair into the car. It’s unclear where they went later that night or what this means about Cuban Link and Scott’s relationship.

According to Complex, their breakup was never formally announced. “My new idea is so big, I don’t have time to be distracted I’m practicing abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals. I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level,” 50 Cent stated.

As for Travis Scott, his relationship with Kylie Jenner was highly publicized throughout their coupling. The two met and began dating in 2017, shortly after she broke up with Young Money rapper Tyga. The news of a possible relationship between Cuban Link and Travis Scott is exciting news for rapper Rick Ross. 50 Cent and the “Aston Martin Music” rapper have long had a feud, and the latter is basking in Travis Scott playing Mr. Steal Yo Girl. He took the opportunity to troll 50 over the situation.

Under Akademik’s post of the video footage, Rick Ross wrote, “The massacre @50cent.”

On his Instagram stories, Ross reposted the video and captioned it, “Many men, many many many men.”

Ross was not done there. He also stated he would be wearing Travis Scott’s Jordan CJ1 T-Rexx sneaker all week, pushing aside his Louis Vuitton’s.

It is unclear if Scott and 50 Cent had a close relationship before the video footage was posted to social media. Nevertheless, the two were at least cordial friends, as the “Many Men” rapper posted on Instagram that Scott spent time with his son, Sire, after a concert.

Cuban Link and Travis Scott have stayed quiet on their relationship status and seemingly ignored the buzz. 50 Cent has not addressed the rumors but has posted about his business ventures on Instagram.

In a cinema shocker, Robert Downey Jr. will return to Marvel Studios as the villain Dr. Doom for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.

After Avengers: Endgame, Marvel mortgaged its cinematic universe future on actor Jonathan Majors who co-starred in two seasons of the Disney+ show LOKI and Ant-Man: Quantumania. He was also set to star in the now-scrapped Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

As we all know, he would later be found guilty of assault and harassment charges and quickly terminated from Marvel. Majors’ demise and a slew of misses jeopardized the future of the MCU, leaving fans feeling uneasy about what was to come.

According to Variety, however, there’s nothing to fear as Marvel has smashed the panic glass by announcing Roberty Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU. During Saturday’s San Diego Comic-Con, RDJ returned to Hall H and announced he would return as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday.

“New mask, same task,” Robert told the stunned crowd. “I like playing complicated characters,” he said as fans chanted his name.

Thanks to the source material, they can take several routes with RDJ portraying Victor Von Doom. It’s unclear if he will play a Tony Stark variant that becomes the iconic villain, or if he will be a new version of the character.

Regardless, fans can rejoice as the MCU seems to have a solid path forward after a disappointing string of past releases.

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters in May of 2026 and will also feature the return of the Russo brothers behind the camera.

The police killing of Sonya Massey has sparked nationwide outrage as details continue to emerge. Body-camera footage has surfaced showing a police officer fatally shooting Massey, an unarmed Black woman who called the police to her home, on July 6, to report a possible break-in. Here’s what we know thus far: 

Who Was Sonya Massey?

Massey was a 36-year-old mother of two who lived in Springfield Illinois. Her heartbroken father described her as a “daddy’s girl.” Massey also struggled with her mental health. According to her obituary, she leaves behind a son and daughter, both of whom are teenagers, her father, mother, and sister, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was a member of Second Timothy Baptist Church and retired from J&J Gaming in her hometown.

What Happened On The Night She Was Killed?

Massey called 911 to report a potential intruder to her home.

Two white sheriff’s deputies showed up and things went left almost immediately. The body-camera footage shows two deputies speaking calmly with Massey, who had gone to turn off a pot of boiling water. The offending officer, Sean Grayson, asks her to step away from the water to which Massey replied;

“I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.”

“You better f—cking not or I swear to God I’ll f–king shoot you in the f–king face!” says Grayson while Massey remains calm, shrinks as if crouching briefly, and apologizes.

Grayson tells her to drop the pot again and hastily shoots her before she can get a chance to do anything.

What Were The Autopsy Results?

The Associated Press reports that Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon detailed in an autopsy report released Friday that Sonya Massey’s death was a homicide.

The bullet that killed her struck her just beneath her left eye and Massey had “minor blunt force injuries” to her right leg.

How Is Sonya Massey’s Family Coping?

According to PEOPLE, there is a verified GoFundMe for Massey’s grieving relatives.

Since that fateful day, the story of Massey’s killing has gone viral. Now, her family, including her 17-year-old son Malachi and 15-year-old daughter Summer, are trying to cope with the sudden loss of their mother, who Raymond described as “loving and caring.”

“They’re taking it a day at a time,” Raymond, 64, tells PEOPLE. “I mean, a minute at a time. It’s devastating to me, let alone [Sonya’s mother] Donna and Summer and Malachi.”

He continues,

“It’s burning so deep. Every family member is going through that right now. But the kids, you have to say that’s twofold.”

Raymond adds that he’s been in touch with the children, who are in the care of other relatives right now, saying;

“Me and [Malachi] had a great conversation about his mom and how much he misses his mom from being murdered. And that’s hard for anyone, let alone a 17-year-old boy who loved and cared for his mom.”

“Rich planned for the proposal to be in her hometown, and gave her an incredible four carat diamond ring. They celebrated with champagne at Chiltern Firehouse the following evening,” an insider revealed to The Sun.

The longtime lovebirds have been so close that rumors swirled about whether they might have already tied the knot. At the very least, it seemed like they did everything but get hitched. The power couple already blended families with Adele’s son Angelo from her previous marriage. The singer also previously praised Rich’s eldest child as her “stepdaughter,” and plans to have more children together.

Yesterday the 2024 Paris Olympics kicked off and all of our patriotic sides took over our bodies like the Venom symbiote. When LeBron James was spotted on the boat carrying the American flag with all of Team USA behind him, the show officially started.

Once the 2024 Open Ceremony kicked off the festivities were officially on the way setting the stage for two weeks of competition. According to Deadline, Beyoncé stunned everyone by introducing America’s top athletes for Team USA.

“Get a look at America, y’all,” Beyoncé declared as Simone Biles and other appeared on the screen. “These hopes and dreams, these superstars that represent us.”

Still in her Cowboy Carter bag Bey looked flawless sporting the red, white, and blue. For the occasion, she remixed her hit “YA YA” for the Team USA intros.

“That pride, and that joy, that’s what gets me about this team,” Bey proclaimed while stunning viewers. “And that’s what makes me believe in this team. And that’s why I can’t wait to see what they pull off over these next 16 days. America, give it up for Team USA, the very best of who we are.”

Team USA came in hot for day one with Snoop Dogg carrying the torch into Paris followed by Lady Gaga and Celine Dion in the opening ceremony celebrations. Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel has requested house arrest for the rapper after receiving a new judge on his YSL RICO case.

We’ve always heard the saying “Atlanta isn’t a real place” but the YSL RICO case has provided solid proof to the whole world.. We’ve seen lawyers forced to bring wings from Atlanta’s favorite strip club, Magic City, and Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel almost jailed. Steel eventually requested a new judge in the case and his wish was granted. His request was accepted under the premise of maintaining the public’s trust in a fair judicial system.

According to Billboard, with Judge Paige Reese Whitaker replacing Judge Ural Glanville Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel has now requested a bond.

“The most fundamental premise of our criminal justice system is that the criminally accused cannot be punished for an offense until the prosecution proves guilt beyond a reasonable doubt,” Steel told the new judge in his filing. “In our society, liberty is the norm.”

Young Thug has been behind bars since May 2022 and has seen over half his former co-defendants regain their freedom. His previous bond motion was denied over witness tampering and intimidation concerns. Hopefully, the new judge will grant his motion after the circus that has occurred for over two years.

Again?! The ex-husband of RHOA’s Phaedra Parks, Apollo Nida, went from trying to end his probation early to another arrest for allegedly assaulting his current wife.

Apollo and Phaedra’s reality TV relationship is over, but his drama and legal troubles are from finished. In Touch reports that his wife, Sherien Almufti, called the police on March 11 for an incident that allegedly escalated from an infidelity argument to a physical altercation. The 45-year-old is no stranger to run-ins with the law, but alleged violence is different for his long-running rap sheet.

Sherien Almufti Accuses Husband Apollo Nida Of Assault After Reported Argument About “Cheating On Each Other”

According to the police report, Sherien claimed she came home from a girls’ night out when the couple got into a heated disagreement. Apollo reportedly confronted Shirien with a video of her locking lips with another man. After verbally sparring about “cheating on each other,” she claims he got physical with her.

Apollo allegedly pulled her by the hair and pushed against a refrigerator before a “scuffle” reportedly ensued. Shortly after, Shirien claimed she ran to get help and while her husband left the scene. Security footage corroborated the argument to police, but surveillance cameras did not capture the alleged assault.

When Apollo returned to the home to speak to the cops, he told a very different story. He alleged that the extent of the physical incident was his attempt to snatch Shiren’s phone mid-argument. He admitted to successfully taking it despite her balling up on the floor to stop him. Apollo alleged that he gave the phone back after Shirien ran out of the home to call for help.

At the scene, the police report indicated that Shiren had no signs of bruises or a physical altercation and she turned down medical attention. Officers arrested Nida for domestic violence and simple assault. Hours later, Apollo secured his release on a $3,000 bond.

Last month, he had a hearing for the misdemeanor charge of “simple battery — family violence.” It is unclear whether he secured an attorney or issued a plea yet, but it seems like the couple is already working things out.

“It was a huge blow out between a married couple that has brought us much closer since then. We have worked through our issues and have been going to couples therapy. The end,” Shirien said about the assault allegations.

Apollo Nida’s Assault Arrest Follows Attempt To End Probation Early After Federal Bank Fraud Conviction

While it seems like the couple is in a much better place and getting some necessary help, it might add to Apollo’s legal complications. Just a few months before the reported incident, Apollo claimed he turned his life around in a request to cut his probation short.

As BOSSIP previously reported, Apollo received an eight-year federal prison sentence in 2014 for bank fraud. He faced up to 30 years behind bars, but reached a plea deal for his role in the scheme. Following his release in 2019, Apollo had to serve another five years of probation.

In 2023, months before the alleged domestic violence, Apollo requested to end his probation a year early. He claimed that he became an upstanding member of his community with volunteer work, a job on an MTV show with Shirien, and a stable home life, making him no risk to society.

However, the prosecutors didn’t see such a squeaky clean track record and opposed the petition. His probation officer reported that Apollo repeatedly violated by traveling to Miami Beach without permission and caught a charge for resisting arrest.

Between getting into trouble before the alleged assault of Shirien and still owing $1.9 million in restitution, the judge denied Apollo’s early release. The terms of his probation end this year, but he could have a new set of legal issues on his hand depending on how this assault case goes.
