Another strike for Joss Whedon? Yikes.

Recently, the American director has been lauded for his work on movies like Justice League, The Avengers Sequel, and more, but lately, his camera skills have been overshadowed for how he treats people behind the camera. It began last July when actor Ray Fisher came forward to publicly complain about Whedon’s behavior on set during Justice League, saying he was “gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.”

But, it wasn’t just him — Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa had words too.

Now, after Warner Brothers has announced that they’re taking remedial action against the claims, Fisher’s got more to say about the unfair treatment he faced while on the set as he played Cyborg in the  DC Extended Universe, appearing first in a cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and then in a lead role for 2017’s Justice League.

In talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Fisher has revealed the unprofessionalism and racism he faced, which includes having only Black characters having defining phrases.

“This is one of the most expensive movies Warners has ever made,” producer Jon Berg said, according to Fisher. “What if the CEO of AT&T has a son or daughter, and that son or daughter wants Cyborg to say ‘booyah’ in the movie and we don’t have a take of that? I could lose my job.”

Now now that Fisher has spoken again about his grievances with Whedon, Twitter has caught wind about his terrible behavior. Check out the reactions below:

Brandon Marshall Called Loud & Wrong On Twitter For NBA Contract Hot Take

Source: Cindy Ord / Getty

There has always been a debate when it comes to the contracts the NFL players sign compared to those NBA athletes put ink to. Retired NFL superstar Brandon Marshall put on full display he has a lot to learn when it comes to that conversation.

During a recent episode of the I Am Athlete show that Marshall cohosts with fellow NFL ballers Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson and Channing Crowder, things got very heated when Chad and Channing said it’s easier for the NBA players to run the league because they have guaranteed contracts.

Marshall however vehemently disagreed with Johnson and Crowder and is now being called “loud and wrong” becuase he argued that only four players on an NBA team have guaranteed contracts. You don’t have to be an NBA expert to know that is FALSE.

“Not everybody that’s on an NBA roster has a guaranteed contract…There’s four guys on an NBA team that got guaranteed contracts and everybody else can be cut today and don’t got nothing,” Marshall yelled with every vein in his neck bulging out.

If there was ever a visual representation of being loud and wrong, that clip of Marshall is it.

Of course, the video has spawned plenty of reactions, NBA player Jared Dudley chimed in, sharing the clip in a retweet writing, “This man can’t be serious??? 95% of players have guaranteed contracts… Sometimes 1 person per roster will sign a partial with a later date to either being cut or signed for the remainder of the season.. Only top Elite QBs have similar NBA deals.”

D’Angelo Russell responded to Dudley’s tweet implying the both of them should take a trip to the show to educate the world.

Twitter isn’t being so nice and has been clowning Marshall all day. You can peep those reactions in the gallery below.

We all know one person like this, lol.

Bossip Video

“Leave me alone, I surrender. You’re doing the absolute most. God help you, these people don’t know you…”

Things between a former husband and wife are getting even messier now that they’re continuing to eviscerate each other online. As previously reported #RHOA’s LaToya Ali released YouTube videos explaining that she left her marriage to Adam Ali over alleged mental, emotional and physical abuse. LaToya alleged that her husband put his hands on her after finding out that she cheated and she shockingly alleged that her last pregnancy was the result of marital rape during a night when she was too intoxicated to consent.

“I believe that he purposely got me pregnant,” alleged LaToya. […] “I was trying to leave and I ended up pregnant, he knows my weakness is alcohol. We got extremely drunk with our friends, I completely blacked out. I didn’t even know if I had sex or not, I didn’t even know if we had intercourse or not. I was so gone for like two days.”

LaToya also made sure to note that while she considers her youngest child, Aya, a blessing she’s standing firm in her “trap” claims and dubbing it a “trap [Adam] would never admit to.”

According to Adam Ali, however, there’s nothing to admit to because her claims are false.

The YouTuber went Live on Instagram Tuesday to defend himself against the “trap” claims and while doing so he ran down a list of uber messy accusations against his ex that we probably never needed to know.

“We should protect Black women but when you bring out these allegatins of rape and abuse, all tha’ts out the window,” said Adam on his IG Live. “This person doesn’t even have respect for women! Two weeks ago you had a scandal about Black women. Yes, we should respect Black women but you don’t even respect Black women,” he added while alleging that LaToya’s a narcissist.

“There’s this narrative that I was controlling everything. I kept your brand pretty clean and wholesome. Now it’s a mess, it’s disgusting.”

According to Adam, after LaToya got back from cheating on him on a cruise [something she admitted to but said it wasn’t intercouse], they had a mutual “hustle and tussle” in the house…

“She comes in, she doesn’t even really greet me,” said Adam. “She goes into our marital space,it was hustle and tussle, I never striked her. I never put my hand on her, that was it. Was she probaly scared? Yeah, she probaly was. I was angry. How dare you came back from a cruise after doing some ish and lay up in our bed like nothing happened. I never striked you, I never hit you.”

before she allegedly fabricated marital rape allegations.

“To say that I raped you?! What are you talking about? This is what gaslighting is, you know what you did two months ago. We moved in September this occurred in October, come New  Years now she’s telling me she’s pregnant. I’m thinking like did something happen in the cruise? She denied it [and said] you know nothing happened, no intercourse happened. Even though I am skeptical about things to to say that like, I raped you?! What are you talking about?! That was the one thing from yesterday that I was just like, ‘UInbelivable! This is gaslighting!’ You just came back from cheating over there don’t try to gaslight the situation.”

He also spoke on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and said that he didn’t want to be part of it citing his morals while noting that they were already divorcing.

“I’m telling her I’m not doing it. It was never about the money for me, my soul’s not for sale,” said Adam on his IG Live. “Of course she feels like I’m blocking her dream. I’m not gonna do anything fake for the world.”

He also shadily alleged that he saw LaToya’s contract and she only makes $1,000 per episode.

“You’re going crazy for this show and then i saw the contract and her family kept saying something about legacy and there’s a bag here. When I saw the contract—bruh, you’re getting paid a rack [$1,000] an episode! I make more money selling my beard oil almost everyday.”

Adam said much, much more, including a bit about LaToya using a private investigator and a GPS tracker to follow him. On her own YouTube channel, LaToya said it was so she could use it against in him the divorce, but Adam said he believed something more nefarious was afoot. According to Adam “some guy” was coaching LaToya on how to get a gun and with that in mind, he filed a restraining order against her.

“She hires a private investigator, she’s getting mad when the private investigator is telling her “He’s at the park”, she’s getting mad. She’s using the word, he’s a “waste”, I’m not on that time right now.  […]

“Imagine if I did this as a man! Y’all would call me a stalker, lunatic, crazy! This is what crazy dudes do but she is doing it to me. I find the GPS tracker, I’m in disbelief. This girl has the guy coaching her on how to get a gun, she got this big ass tracker on my car. Her side of the family is counseling me on what to do. The consensus is she might be trying to get you sent up.”

He also alleged that he has a 20-minute video of LaToya domestically abusing him, produced an alleged receipt of LaToya buying her own self a Rolex and allegedly claiming it came from her new boyfriend. He also ended with allegations that she’s still trying to sleep with him.

“You keep sending me advances, you’re with somebody else. Why you keep me inviting me to your place?! I’m good love, just leave the boy alone.”

M E S S Y on both parts and these two are probably far from finished.

LaToya has responded to Adam’s video, hit the flip for that.

Forbes officially declares Kim Kardashian-West a billionaire.

Kim Kardashian

Source: ENT / SplashNews / Splash News

Kim Kardashian-West has shaped the new social media era as we know it. Doing such a thing can come with a lot of headaches, but one thing that will come along with it is opportunities and cold hard cash.

Over the years, she kept a great television deal with E! for Keeping Up With The Kardashians for over a decade, and now, she’s switching it up and taking her talents to Hulu. Today, Forbes officially placed her on the Billionaire list thanks to all her hard work and deals.

According to CNN, her brands SKIMS and KKW Beauty have pushed her over the top to reach the coveted list.

Kardashian West launched KKW Beauty in 2017, and Coty (COTY) acquired a 20% stake in the cosmetics line in a deal last year that valued the business at $1 billion. Forbes said her remaining stake in the business is worth about $500 million.

There’s also her other business: Skims, a collection of figure-hugging shapewear and bodysuits. Forbes said she has a majority stake in the private business, which hasn’t disclosed revenue — but a source told the magazine the company is valued “north of $500 million.” That means her stake is possibly worth $225 million, which is “enough to lift her fortune to $1 billion,” per Forbes.

The widest part of Kim’s massive fortune is the fact that she doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. She just announced a new SKINS pop-up shop at The Grove in Los Angeles and her beauty brand is still on everyone’s wish list. Many have asked if her divorce will factor into her new status, but with both her and Kanye being billionaires, we doubt either party is after the other’s money.

Here’s the short synopsis of the film:

An elite Navy SEAL uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife in Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, the explosive origin story of action hero John Clark – one of the most popular characters in author Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan universe. When a squad of Russian soldiers kills his family in retaliation for his role in a top-secret op, Sr. Chief John Kelly (Michael B. Jordan) pursues the assassins at all costs. Joining forces with a fellow SEAL (Jodie Turner-Smith) and a shadowy CIA agent (Jamie Bell), Kelly’s mission unwittingly exposes a covert plot that threatens to engulf the U.S. and Russia in an all-out war. Torn between personal honor and loyalty to his country, Kelly must fight his enemies without remorse if he hopes to avert disaster and reveal the powerful figures behind the conspiracy.

Dang, did it have to be L-Boogie though? We know he’s going after everybody with a vengeance after that.

Damn, Paul Pierce.

The Boston Celtic legend was caught having a bit too much fun Friday night on Instagram, live. Pierce decided to showcase himself getting a haircut, playing poker with his friends, as well as seeing bikini-clad women in the background who not only danced for him but insisted on giving him massages.

These are all great things for a retired NBA great who was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player in 2008, the 10th overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft,  and an NBA Champion in 2008. But having half-naked women twerking behind you may not be the smartest business move if you’re an employee of ESPN. After all, Pierce has been a staple on “NBA Countdown,” “The Jump,” and in other NBA coverage for the network.

However, ESPN has yet to comment on the alleged following. Check out the funniest reactions to Paul Pierce’s alleged firing below.

We’re barely a few months into 2021, and things aren’t going much better than 2020.

But if there’s one thing you can count on cheering you up, it is the random SZA thirst trap you peep when scrolling through Twitter or Instagram. The singer-songwriter is still reeling off the major success of 2017’s CTRL album that dudes and side chicks alike singing along to every word and note. But four years later, she’s entered a new chapter in her career but is still putting on bangers like The Neptunes produced and Ty Dolla Sign assisted “Hit Different” and “Good Days.”

The nine-time Grammy nominee also expanded her brand in a year that proved to be a racial reckoning by connecting with Tazo tea.

“There’s something about them creating job opportunity in the disproportionately affected communities that makes me very attracted to the whole situation,” SZA tells BAZAAR, adding, “you’re actually insourcing, rather than outsourcing, from the direct community, then creating value,” she says.

But as fans await new music from the songstress, she’s launched GOODLINE, which she dubs as a ” hotline to cry n laugh n talk” with her fans. As with any major announcement, a photodump was necessary to get the word out, as the last slide in the gallery serves as a promo.

But seeing the thirst traps had us dig deep in the archives to peep our favorite SZA posts on Instagram, which you can check out in the gallery below.

The “Free Yourself” singer let fans know she wasn’t alone in the hospital, panning the camera over to her husband, Kenneth Taylor, who appeared to be sleeping in the hospital room.

“I thank God for my husband. He’s over there knocked out, poor thing! He’s been riding in there with me. My contractions are starting to come down now. My body is just tired, but we’ve got this.”

Remember the name

America's Most Wanted assets

Source: FOX

She’s a respected lawyer, professional point-maker and journalist whose appeared on every major network worth mentioning as the sharpest guest on every panel.

Her name is Yodit Tewolde and she’s must-see TV, especially on FOX’s “America’s Most Wanted” reboot where she provides in-depth legal analysis and helpful tips on the futurized show that picks up where its iconic predecessor left off in 2011.

At one point, “America’s Most Wanted” was the most successful show on TV that ran for 24 years as an inescapable pop culture obsession only rivaled by “Unsolved Mysteries.”

We caught up with the emerging media maven who talked the show’s resurgence, those very life-like avatars and more during our exclusive interview.

“America’s Most Wanted” is an iconic show. I’ve grown up watching it. I remember being afraid of it. That and “Unsolved Mysteries” — John Walsh was just an amazing, amazing human being who is really just a powerful voice for victims everywhere and to have an opportunity to have a part in all of that is coming full circle for me. So it definitely is… it’s great”

BOSSIP: I must say that I saw the 3D avatars on this show —

(laughs) That’s a fan favorite. People are like, ‘oh my God!’ — imagine having those when “America’s Most Wanted” originally launched — to be able to physically visualize a fugitive, to be able to see how they aged with our age progression technology, to be able to say, ‘OK, they escaped prison 30 years ago, here’s what they may look like right now’ and to be able to pull up this 3D life avatar and also have the uniqueness of whatever physical characteristics they may have.

For example, we just shot a show with one of the cases where a guy has multiple tattoos that Avatar is going to have those tattoos. It’s important that the viewers can see that. And so it is a powerful, powerful tool, not to mention social media. So you’ve got that combined with the type of technology we’ve been able to show the viewers. I mean, I feel bad for these fugitives because I guarantee that they’re going to get caught sooner than anybody expected, you know what I’m saying? So we actually caught one fugitive after we aired two weeks ago. So it’s going to happen for sure.

BOSSIP: What was your initial reaction to the avatars–I wanted to call them holograms? Did they just press a button in the studio and the avatars popped up?

(laughs) so wait, holograms–they talk, right?

y–yes, usually it’s Biggie or Pac–I’ve only seen the music versions. They rap and sing —

(laughs) OK, so we’ll just say holograms can do all of that. The avatars haven’t been able to do that, thank God. It would scare me but they’ve been able to blink and have a move but what’s really crazy is that on the set I’m talking with Elizabeth Vargas–the host–and we are to imagine that there is an avatar between us because in real time, when I’m looking at it, there’s nothing in between us.

But there are monitors on the sides of us. So I have a monitor in my eyesight and Elizabeth has a monitor in her eyesight on the other side. And I can see the avatar in the monitor but I can’t see the avatar like literally standing next to me. So it takes a lot of work to be able to know where to stand, to know how much space you have between you and the avatar.

Because if I’m pointing towards the avatar, I don’t want to point into the avatar. I don’t want to point behind the avatar. So we’ve got to get the eye alignment, the hand alignment. So it definitely is some work. And I have a new appreciation for how my television shows are made.”

BOSSIP: You’re a journalist but didn’t actually train to be a journalist, right?

“I went to law school and started my legal career as a prosecutor and, you know, there were some things that I saw as a prosecutor that wasn’t necessarily fair. I kind of felt sympathetic to the defendant. I know it’s ironic given the fact that I’m on AMW but there were there were defendants that I felt like could have been my brother, my friend.

And there were ways I felt they could have avoided being in that position not to help me prosecute them. So I wanted to talk about that. And my boss was like, ‘you can’t. Not as a prosecutor’ so I was like, ‘OK’ well, I left and I started my own practice.

And then I met up with my mentor Roland Martin and he had a show on TV One and I was like, listen, you’ve got to give me a chance to do my thing on TV. Like I’m good. I’m a legal analyst and I was totally bluffing at that point. I hadn’t analyzed a thing but, you know, it’s that audacity–and he was like, “OK, well, you know, I may have you on the show. We’ll see.’ And so he gave me his number.

And he’s like, if you have any questions or need any advice just give me a call. And a week later, I get a call from him and he asked me to do a segment on Freddie Gray at the time. And once I did that segment, people from other networks noticed–they started calling me from FOX then CNN started calling then MSNBC–so I was doing that for like five years while still running a practice because that was the most important thing for me.

And then I got a crazy opportunity to host my own show on Court TV–it was being revived. And Court TV is one of the most important shows you could have out there because that’s what we’re doing right now. We’re watching the inside of a courtroom right now because of their cameras, their cameras, Court TV’s cameras. So that was really cool to be able to cover high-profile cases around the country.

And then AMW came about and it was a different type of show for me because it’s not live but it was one of those moments where I was like, “I grew up on this,” and, initially, I had some hesitation of aligning myself with a law enforcement show given the climate of where we are right now with the police in our communities.

But it was AMW that was like, all right, you know what? I have always been an advocate for community policing. That is what AMW is. ‘America’s Most Wanted’ is saying we need the public’s help. We need your help to not only bring us information so that families can finally get answers but hold people accountable. And what that accountability looks like is up to the court system. Right? I don’t get to say someone gets to go to prison forever.

That is not what I am doing at ‘America’s Most Wanted.’ What I’m doing is saying, ‘hey, this person has already committed a crime and was convicted of it and they’re on the run and we need to find them’ because now the issue of whether they did it or not is at rest, right? They’ve done it, they were convicted and they ran. We need to bring them back. Right. OK, then you have those that are suspected of killing somebody.

So, of course, there’s a presumption of innocence but there are real families that have come to the show–Black families, Brown families, all kinds of families, that have said, ‘listen, our loved one was murdered. We want answers. We want this person on the run who’s basically disappeared to be brought forth so that we can see what this is about. We can get the answers that we’ve been we’ve been wanting for years.’

So, for me, this isn’t, ‘hey, let’s just send the police out and let them do what they do.’

We are saying help the police community. Right? So, for me, that was what I think was the point in time that I was like, ‘all right, this is community policing. This is what I have been advocating for. And this is what makes sense.’

“America’s Most Wanted” airs every Monday at 9/8c on FOX. You can also catch Yodit on her upcoming primetime show “Making The Case With Yodit” premiering this month on the Black News Channel (“BNC”).

cam'ron on drink champs

Source: YouTube / Revolt

After more than two decades representing Harlem in Hip-Hop, Cam’ron’s illustrious career has seen enough drama to fill a book. So it made sense that Killa Cam’s highly anticipated interview on Nore’s Drink Champs podcast lasted more than three full hours.

Though Cam didn’t partake in any alcohol or trees during the interview, the man did not need to get saucy in order to spill the beans on just about everything anyone’s wanted to know. From explaining where things started going south with Jay-Z when he signed to Roc-A-Fella to why he doesn’t want to get back with his ex-boo, Juju, Cam lays it all out there for our consumption and more importantly, entertainment.

Here are the 15 things we learned from Cam’ron on Drink Champs.

Cam’ron says he actually wrote Lil Cease’s verse on Lil Kim’s “Crush On You.” Apparently, Lance “Un” Rivera paid Ma$e $30,000 to write 6 songs for Kim’s album and he gave Cam $5K to do Cease’s verse.

Celebrity Sightings in New York City - September 18, 2020

Source: Robert Kamau / Getty

Jay-Z is speaking out after the passing of New York’s Marijuana Legislation and Taxation Act.

In case you missed it, the city that never sleeps has legalized adult-use of recreational cannabis, joining 16 other states that have done the same.

“The news of cannabis legalization in New York is incredibly exciting,” Jay-Z told The Grio in a statement. “It represents a long overdue opportunity for New Yorkers, for the cannabis industry, and for social equity and social justice. I’ve seen firsthand the harm inflicted for generations against Black and minority communities by the war on drugs right here in New York.”

Hov, who always seems to be ten steps ahead of everyone else, has already entered the cannabis industry with his brand Monogram. He’d also been fighting outdated cannabis laws that largely affect the Black community. Back in January, Hov issued a statement that read “Cannabis laws are out of date and disproportionately cruel and punishing when compared to the rest of the legal code. We still don’t have proper regulation for texting and driving in Missouri, but staying home and smoking weed will get you locked up.”

It’s a new day. More on NY’s bill here and stay tuned.
