Buckle up! The power of womanhood is intersecting with powersports for a day of female ridership, camaraderie, and fun in the coolest of ways.

Source: Polaris Inc / International Female Ride Day

Polaris Inc. is once again joining forces with International Female Ride Day (IFRD) to further celebrate and accelerate the participation of women in powersports, this time with a theme of #FocusFemaleForward.
This year’s 15th annual IFRD returns to the first Saturday of May and will once again have high-powered global synchronization. On International Female Ride Day women in over 120 countries will strap on helmets, gloves, and gear and ride their motorcycles, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, or other powersports vehicles in unity and support of the female riding community. This year’s theme emphasizes the goals of IFRD including encouraging new women to ride while shining a light on the diverse participation of women already engaging in powersports.

Per a press release, Polaris says it’s continuing to remain focused on driving industry inclusion and representation of women and hope to inspire more ladies to participate in powersports. With that in mind, they’ve launched the Empowersports Women’s Riding Council, an exclusive yet inclusive bad a$$ club of 12 trailblazing women who are riders, adventurers, leaders, and entrepreneurs assisting in championing the growth of female riders and helping to broaden their voice in the industry.

Vicky Gray, IFRD Founder and inaugural member of Polaris’ Empowersports Women’s Riding Council, is especially excited to have Polaris on board for this quickly approaching IFRD occasion.

“It’s exciting to have Polaris as a sponsor, teaming up to encourage even more women to join the movement,” said Gray. “This year, women around the world will be active, riding in celebration, unity and support of the female riding community more than ever before. Whether on roads, dirt, sand or snow, riding continues to be an exhilarating, liberating and a fulfilling activity for women of all skill levels. The female riding community continues to expand every year, and this is our day to celebrate.”

Pam Kermisch, Polaris Chief Customer Engagement, and Growth Officer believes that this year’s IFRD will be something special.

“Every day, scores of women put on their helmet and point their ride towards an open road, mountain or trail,” said Jermisch. “IFRD is about taking a moment to celebrate how incredible that sisterhood is while encouraging female riders to bring along other women in their lives to share in the riding experience. We believe in uplifting the voices of our female riders across the powersports industry. Helping female ridership flourish and creating a sense of community is important for women, as well as the powersports community.”

If you wanna get in on the action, Polaris says it’s simple—-“Just Ride!” Go outside and ride a motorcycle or powersports vehicle and take part in the digital celebration by sharing photos of rides using the hashtags #IFRD2021, #FocusFemaleForward, and #InternationalFemaleRideDay. Social media posts will also be entered into a global photo contest.

DMX assets

Source: Jonathan Mannion

Words simply can’t express how legendary Earl “DMX” Simmons was during his world-shaking reign where he singlehandedly elevated Hip-Hop while staying true to himself as a once-in-a-lifetime artist, showman and hitmaker with the world in his hands.

DMX assets

Source: Jonathan Mannion

Between ’98 and ’02, he had quite possibly the greatest run in Hip-Hop history with two multi-platinum albums (“It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot” and “Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood”) IN THE SAME YEAR, multiple blockbuster films including “Romeo Must Die” alongside Aaliyah and the golden Rap crew blueprint that launched the Ruff Ryderz into stardom.

Following the tragic deaths of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G., DMX emerged as a commercial powerhouse with a rare combination of artistic ambition and street credibility. Everything about DMX was unremittingly intense, from his sculpted, tattooed physique to his gruff, barking delivery, which made a perfect match for his trademark obsession with dogs.

He could move from spiritual anguish one minute to a narrative about the sins of the streets in compelling moments that connected to fans and made him the first artist ever to have his first four albums enter the charts at number one.

He was hilarious.

He made the greatest Christmas song of all-time.

He was a playable character in pop culture obsession “Def Jam Vendetta”

He ran several feet up a wall and back-flipped onto the ground in “Cradle 2 The Grave”

He made a smash hit with Sisqo (who lifted imaginary weights in the video)

He was truly iconic with an infectious energy that touched everyone, especially his peers who shared some of their fondest memories of the legend on social media.

The two starred in “Cradle 2 The Grave” that debuted at #1 at the box office with a $16.5 million opening weekend.

The Ruff Ryderz first lady was featured prominently on the group’s hit singles.

DMX and Snoop’s Verzuz was one of the most watched (and memed) Verzuz matchups to date

Swizz produced DMX’s biggest hits including international smash “Party Up

In an interview with TMZ, Killer Mike shared his favorite DMX stories and lessons he’d learned from the multi-layered legend.

“His greatest legacy are his fifteen children. Musically, he has been an amazing man,” Mike began before sharing a story about his experience gambling with the star. “I met DMX personally myself, me and my cousin,” he recalled.

“We gambled for like, eight grand. My cousin Jimmy skipped him for about five grand, I was on the side making his manager bet me for about three.”

In another instance, X was reportedly “singing Christmas Carols to a table in a Waffle House [and] making everyone very happy.”

He went on to drop some of the jewels that can be learned from X’s life.

“He taught people that you can love through suffering,” said Killer Mike. “He taught people there is no shame in addiction because he was always honest about being in that place. And he taught people that there was no shame in being sensitive and vulnerable. He showed people publically that he loved God.”

After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world’s first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue what they started but tensions rise when the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents’ legendary legacies and sky-high standards.

One of the standouts in the epic trailer is Tenika Davis who commands the screen as Petra Small (The Flare), the daughter of legendary hero Fitz Small aka the original Flare.

Despite her strained past with her father, she takes up his mantel after he’s critically injured and soon discovers that trying to be a hero in the modern world can have deadly consequences.

In the comics, Fitz was one of the six founding members of the Union of Justice who learned that nothing lasts forever when his father abandoned him at age 9.

While in college, he meets a young woman named Joyce who he eventually marries–yep, superpowered in love.

Some years (and three kids) later, he meets a 19-year-old girl named April Kelly who starts off as his sidekick before their eventual entanglement.

What happens next is completely un-shocking as Fitz risks it all–his marriage, standing with the union, everything–for April who leaves him after he’s critically injured in battle.

Now a paraplegic, Fitz has lost everything including his wife Joyce who returns to his side to care for him despite the disgraced hero divorcing her for a younger woman.

Based on the trailer, we’re not sure how closely the series follows the source material but it’s intriguing to say the least.

Like Tiny and T.I., Deshaun Watson’s lawyer would like the NFL quarterback’s alleged victims to reveal their identities.

According to reports, Watson was in the habit of carrying out sexually deviant behavior while receiving massages. 22 female massage therapists have reportedly accused Watson of inappropriate behavior and sexual assault. Now, his lawyer, Rusty Hardin, is blasting the “anonymous lawsuits” filed by attorney Tony Buzbee.

In a statement shared by TMZ, Hardin reportedly said:

“Deshaun did not force, coerce or intimidate anyone to do anything against their will. Mr. Buzbee’s use of anonymous lawsuits violates Texas law and the basic concept of fairness. It is clear that, for Mr. Buzbee, this case has never been about seeking justice in a courtroom, but destroying Deshaun’s reputation to enhance his own public profile and enrich himself. While I understand that anonymity often is used as a shield for victims, Mr. Buzbee is using it as a sword. While shielding his clients from public scrutiny, Mr. Buzbee continues to use their anonymous allegations to destroy Mr. Watson. This is simply not right. And we look forward to resolving these matters in court.”

Two of the women have, in fact, identified themselves publicly, but obviously Hardin feels that’s not enough. Watson is denying all accusations.

America is a wild place right now…

Rock Hill, South Carolina was the location of the latest mass murder to take place in the United States over just the course of a few weeks. Multiple cities are experiencing these traumatic events and there doesn’t appear to be a solution anywhere in immediate grasp.

According to ESPN, former San Francisco 49er, Seattle Seahawk, Atlanta Falcon, New England Patriot, Oakland Raider, and New York Jet  Phillip Adams was found dead after police searched the neighborhood for hours looking for him as a murder suspect. 70-year-old Dr. Robert Lesslie, his 69-year-old wife Barbara Lesslie, and their two grandchildren, 9-year-old Adah Lesslie, and 5-year-old Noah Lesslie, were all gunned down inside their home Wednesday afternoon. Additionally, a man who was doing some work at the home, 38-year-old James Lewis was also murdered. A sixth person was reportedly hospitalized with “serious gunshot wounds”. Apparently, Dr. Leslie had treated Phillip in the past but it is not known what the nature of that treatment was.

As we mentioned before, it took police hours just to located Phillip who had holed up inside the home of another woman named Allison Hope about a mile down the road from his crime scene. Hope says the police spent several hours negotiating with Adams to give himself up. He eventually took his own life with a .45 caliber handgun.

Dr. Lesslie was a pillar in the community who treated both Phillip Adams’ father but also the police spokesperson who was now relaying information to the public about his murder. He had also written a book called “Angels in the ER” that contained this heartbreaking passage:

“I know without a doubt that life is fragile,” Lesslie wrote in his book. “I have come to understand that humility may be the greatest virtue. And I am convinced we need to take the time to say the things we deeply feel to the people we deeply care about.”

Prayers and sympathies to the families and friends of this horrific incident.

At just 2-years-old Cardi and Offset’s precious princess has a closet full of pricey purses and baby baubles that some adults could only dream of.

Teyana Taylor "The Album" Listening Party

Source: Rich Fury / Getty

Cardi made jaws drop this week when she went on a self-proclaimed “crazy” shopping spree for her baby girl Kulture and dropped nearly $27,000 ($26,600) on Chanel, Dior, and jewelry for the tot.

The estimated numbers for Cardi’s pricey purchases come from TheDailyMail which reports that Bardi’s baby was blessed with seven handbags and accessories. Here’s the alleged breakdown; “two $4,212 mini Lady Dior bags, a $3,385 Blue Dior Oblique Jacquard Saddle bag, a $4,282 hot pink Chanel mini flap, a $4,949 Chanel vanity case, a $5,571 Chanel bucket bag with pearls, and pink sparkly bag and a Chanel bracelet.”

While sharing a video of the purchases, Cardi admitted that she went all out but noted that the good Lord gave her a “doll” [Kulture] for a reason.

“Oooh I went crazy shopping, all for Kulture though, nothing mine. All KK. What? God gave me a doll for a reason. I shop more for her [than] I do for myself!” Cardi wrote on her InstaStory about the big-budget buys.

The original post has been deleted from Cardi’s page.

While TheDailyMail is estimating that mommy Cardi spent nearly $27K, PageSix is reporting that the real receipts totaled to around $29K. According to our lint-filled pockets, both numbers seem legit and like the usual lavishness that Cardi bestows upon her precocious progeny. The purchases are also causing grown adults to wonder when Cardi will graciously adopt them and buy them high-end handbags as well. (Spoiler alert: It’s us, we are “grown adults”)

Cardi also shared a pic of Kulture enjoying her presents and carrying around one of her mini Diors while wearing Uggs, Chanel earrings, and white sunglasses.

This isn’t the first time the 2-year-old’s received pricey presents from her parents. Back in July of last year, Kulture was given an $8,000 hot pink Birkin bag by her dad Offset during her lavish birthday party.

And after people questioned Mr.and Mrs. Cephus’ spending habits for their daughter, Cardi clapped back with a message about their baby girl “matching their fly.”

“I know when celebrities buy their kids jewelry and designer s***, people be like ‘kids don’t care about that, they only care about toys and candy,’” said Cardi in a Twitter video. “But the thing is, kids also go outside. Kids go to restaurants, kids go to fancy places. Celebrity kids, they go do red carpets.”

She continued,

“If I’m fly, and daddy’s fly, then so is the kid. If I’m wearing Cha-nay-nay [Chanel], my kid’s having the same thing. It’s not up to what the kids like. If it was the kids, they’d be outside in diapers […] ’cause if I was looking like a bad b****, expensive b****, and I had my kid looking like a bum bum, then y’all would be talking s***.”

Kulture’s clearly well on her way to matching mommy and daddy’s fly already. Don’t you agree?

Everybody is losing their cotdamn minds these days! For as much as the die-hard Second Amendment crowd hates “anti-gun” legislation, there are clearly some folks in America who have no business walking around with a firearm. A video that was recently published by TMZ shows a Los Angeles woman loading her revolver and pointing the weapon indiscriminately at passing cars. As she sits inside her luxury BMW and shouts shenanigans at a nearby crowd.

Reports state that she was somehow held up at a stop sign and lost her motherf***in’ mind in the middle of rush hour traffic. On the corner of Fairfax and Olympic, this broad sat loading her gun and mumbling about God-knows-what. After asking, “Anybody wanna die now? Anybody???” the woman opened fire…on her own sunroof! The whole thing was caught on video that you can watch below.

It’s a miracle that she didn’t hit anyone with this dumb s#!t. At some point, local law enforcement was able to catch up with the unnamed suburban terrorist and arrest her for felony negligent discharge of a firearm. They say she fired five shots. She better not get off with probation. This lady needs to make orange her new black for a LEAST a year. What she did was no joke and it could have ended very, very badly.

Helmed by celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern and partner Robert Montwaid, creator of New York’s Gansevoort Market, these curators proudly presented the space to members of the media who were welcomed into the spacious building that will surely be a summer 2021 hotspot as the city continues to expeditiously expand amid mass COVID-19 vaccinations.

According to Chef Zimmern, Chattahoochee Food Works’ massive space will lend itself to being part of The Works’ all-day entertainment hub…

“The physical space lends itself to people enjoying themselves, you know, people get to walk from building to building, you can spend all day here, you know, bring a lawn chair, take a nap, and this is gonna be my hang out over the summer,” said the chef during a media preview. “So I did fall in love with it.”

and Robert [Bobby] Montiwad personally tasked him with making sure there was diversity amongst restaurateurs, something that was especially important to him as it reflects the true diversity of ATL.

“This is not about us at all, at all,” said Zimmern during a media preview. “This is the story of the 24, 26 vendors who are in there. All of them have different stories to tell, all of them came to this for a different reason. All of them are incredible entrepreneurs who put all this together during COVID at a time when the food and beverage industry has been kneecapped. They’re launching here, this has been their passion for a long time which means that they fought through this entire last year to get to this point and be open. And so their stories are absolutely incredible,” he added.

More PR baes, more flowers

There are so many amazing publicists who couldn’t fit on just one list so we’re back with more flowers, positive energy and gratitude for the hardest-working ladies in any room.

For those in the back, publicists are unsung heroes–the real MVPS–who guide clients, elevate careers, connect move-makers with power-players, flip potential disasters into wins with one eye on their phone and the other on their email-flooded laptop during 22-hour work days.

And that’s not even including the racist shenanigans faced by Black publicists like AM PR Group founder Vanessa Anderson who formed a coalition called ‘My Publicist is Black’ with Yvette Noel-Schure (who reps Beyoncé), Erica Tucker (Yara Shahidi), Ernest Dukes (Jeezy), Phylicia Fant (Head of Urban Music at Columbia Records) and Trell Thomas.

“Once the group was created, we immediately started trying to put money in each other’s pockets [with referrals,]” said Anderson in an interview with Variety.

“It’s really morphed into a sounding board, a safe space for us to talk about anything and everything.”

Since its creation, the refreshingly inclusive movement has amplified networking opportunities while providing a therapeutic space for Black publicists to express their frustrations in a mostly white industry.

“A lot of folks like to put us in boxes, like we can only represent Black people, and that’s simply not true,” said Ascend PR Group’s Erica Tucker (who reps Kendrick Sampson and Yara Shahidi) in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

I experience that all the time, like [at] get-to-know-you lunches with agents and managers, and they sometimes think, ‘Well, you just represent Black talent.’” She emphasizes, “We can tell a variety of stories.”

Who are the most important people in any industry and why are they publicists? Tell us down below and peep MORE of the baddest publicists (and PR pros) in the game on the flip.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department finally reveals more details related to Tiger Woods’ SUV crash from February.

Tiger Woods

Source: Scott Clarke / ESPN Images / Scott Clarke / ESPN Images

In February, Tiger Woods was involved in not only a career-threatening car cash, but also a life-threatening wreck. The wreck left him in a hospital bed for weeks with leg injuries on top of back injuries he previously had. In the aftermath of the accident, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has flip-flopped on what they would release or not release–but one thing was for sure: a warrant was issued for the vehicle’s black box, which will give sensitive data to paint a picture in the moments leading up to the wreck.

LA County Sheriffs previously stated they would not release any info about the incident. According to TMZ, somehow, information was released and shows his speed and poorly navigating the curve where he wrecked, which played a major part.

Tiger Woods was doing 75 MPH when he smashed into a tree the time of his accident, according to Sheriff Alex Villanueva … who says the official cause of the crash was speed and inability to navigate the curvy road.
Villanueva says Woods had been driving at speeds between 82 and 87 MPH leading up to the crash — more than 40 MPH over the 45 MPH speed limit — clearly an unsafe speed for the curvy area where Tiger was driving on Feb. 23.

At this point, Tiger still isn’t facing criminal charges and hopefully, that won’t change so he can put this whole situation behind him and truly begin to heal. This is Los Angeles County, so anything could happen but for now, Tiger is in the clear.

The trailer for the third and unfortunately final season of “Pose” is here and it’s garnering tissues alongside 10s across the board. As previously reported the curtain is closing on the FX series that’s returning to television on May 2.

Pose on FX

Source: Rich Fury / Getty

Season 3 which will be abbreviated, will show Blanca (Mj Rodriguez), who is struggling “to balance being a mother with being a present partner to her new love, and her latest role as a nurse’s aide.”

Taking place in 1994 it will also follow Pray Tell (Billy Porter) who’s experiencing “unexpected health burdens” as AIDS becomes the leading cause of death for Americans ages 25-44. Meanwhile, in the ballroom scene, a “vicious new upstart house forces the House of Evangelista members to contend with their legacy.”

In the trailer, we see Blanca in her nurse’s aide role where she’s facing hardships as a trans woman of color and “just trying to stay afloat.” Meanwhile, Pray Tell is none too pleased with the evolving state of the ballroom scene that’s suffering.

“Balls ain’t what they used to be!” says Pray. “Cash prizes and tacky lip-synchs! There used to be a sense of urgency and community–then folks just started dying!”

Also, Angel Evangelista (Indya Moore) and Papi (Angel Bismark Curiel) are still going strong and seen in bedded bliss.

And yes, the oh’ so chic Elektra Abundance Evangelista (Dominique Jackson) is back with a vengeance.

“Category is”…we can’t believe it’s over!

“Pose” returns for a third and final season on Sunday, May 2, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
