While fans of their show on E! weren’t privy to it, things in Kristin Cavallari’s marriage to Jay Cutler had been going south for a long time before the couple finally decided to call it quits.

The Very Cavallari star revealed recently that her recent divorce was a long time coming.

“It didn’t happen overnight,” the reality star told People. ”We tried really, really hard for years and years. It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made.”

Kristin goes on to say that producers on Very Cavallari were definitely cognizant of their issues, but they never put those details in the show, painting their marriage in a much more positive light. The marriage hit a low point during filming for the final season, which aired in 2020, which is when Cavallari says her and her estranged husband “definitely kept a lot of stuff private,” adding, “producers saw stuff, but they didn’t put it in the show — which is good, because I don’t want my kids to ever (see that).”

Together, Jay and Kristin share sons Camden, 8, and Jaxon, 6, and daughter Saylor, 4.

While news of their split was followed by some pretty nasty developments, like Cavallari accusing the former NFL player of “inappropriate marital conduct,” the reality star says their relationship is much smoother now.

“I still care so much about him and talk to him almost every day,” she revealed. “We have three kids together. He’s going to be in my life forever.”

“A year ago I felt like I was drowning,” Kristin continued. “That’s not to say I don’t have really hard days, but for the past however many years, I’ve been putting everybody else first. I’m going to focus on me for a minute, look inward and figure out what I ultimately want out of life.”

Mariah Carey isn’t shying away from sharing the nitty gritty details of her life as she continues the process of walking down memory lane in anticipation of releasing her upcoming memoir.

In a newly released clip for the upcoming Apple+ show The Oprah Conversations, the singer told Oprah Winfrey that Derek Jeter was “the catalyst” for her divorce from then-head of Sony Music, Tommy Mottola. Carey and Mottola were married for five years. from 1993-98, while Carey was linked to Jeter in the late ’90s.

“He was a catalyst that helped me get out of that relationship because I believed there was somebody else,” Carey said of the Hall of Famer. “It was the racial situation, his mom is Irish, his dad is Black. But he was also very ambiguous looking to me. I didn’t know who he was, we met and I’ve written songs about it.”

She continued, “I don’t think it was like, ‘Oh my god, he was the love of my life.’ Like, at the time I did, because I didn’t think I would ever meet anybody who wouldn’t…what’s the word? I used the word, I just thought about this last night. Not looked down on but feel superior to me because of the fact that I’m not one way or another in most people’s minds, and they have preconceived notions, whatever.”

Carey went on to say that Jeter’s family gave off a “healthy” energy that reminded of what her own family could be like.

“His family was a healthy family and they changed my viewpoint that, ‘Oh, it’s because of the biracial situation that my family is so screwed up.’ As opposed to, ‘It’s them,’” she explained. “It was healthy for me to see a functional family that basically kind of looked like mine, but didn’t feel like mine.”

Mariah also confirmed in Vulture interview last month that her songs, “My All” and “The Roof”–both of which are from 1998–were indeed written about Derek Jeter.

G Herbo In Concert - Atlanta, GA

G Herbo is making a major contribution to his community.

The Chicago native just purchased the Overton Elementary School, which he attended as a child. According to reports from HotNewHipHop, the school closed its doors in 2013, but instead of letting the facility become another condemned building, the rapper decided to transform it into a community development center.

When speaking on his decision to do so, Herbo explained that the purchase has allowed him to establish a position as a leader in his community.

“This is just about being able to lead by example for the next generation,” G Herbo explained to HotNewHipHop. “We’re really just trying to change the narrative and lead by example … and show the next generation that they can do what we’re doing even greater. We’re not saying we’re going to see drastic change tomorrow, but if we keep this up, there’s limitless opportunities and it’s limitless where we can go.”

In line with this major streak of positivity, the rapper spent this past weekend hosting the #YearoftheYouth giveback for children in the community. The rapper was joined by fellow Chicago natives Chance the RapperVic MensaJoey Purp, and other popular community figures as they marched through the city’s South Side and handed out over 2,000 backpacks filled with necessary school supplies for students in need.

In addition to providing children with necessities for school, the program also aims to organize and lead community outreach and funding towards youth-centered educational programs. It also plans to provide free feminine care products, COVID testing, and hot meals to Chicago families.

This b!t¢h…

No one should be surprised at anything that comes out of Tomi Lahren‘s mouth but that doesn’t mean that her words fall on deaf ears. We hear her loud and clear and we don’t hide our desire for her to receive the painful and/or embarrassing karma that she so richly deserves. Interpret that any way you’d like.

Yesterday, the Amerikkkan “justice” system decided that Breonna’s life doesn’t matter and Tumor Loogie was SUPER excited to agree. 7 minutes after the grand jury decision was announced by Koontucky Attorney General Daniel KKKameron, Tawny took her dumbass on Twitter to say…this…

Breonna’s death had nothing to do with resisting arrest so what the f**k this ho is talking about is anyone’s guess. She tried to clean it up with some faux empathy that she can shove right up her DAP.

Her true thoughts were revealed when she began responding to people who were frying her bird-ass for her caucasian headassery.

To be clear, no one is “entitled” to physically attack Turnip but we certainly don’t mind if they do. It is what it is. Don’t start none, won’t be none.

Tiki Torch Lightning could not longer obfuscate her disdain for Breonna and finally decided to played the bigot joker…

We all know why Kenneth Walker fired those shots, because the police either didn’t announce themselves at all or at the very least audibly enough that a SLEEPING PERSON would awake and hear the announcement. Maybe one day Tangi will walk into the wrong house like Amber Guyger and get shot a couple times by a scared person who though she was a burglar. Then she’ll understand.

Power Book II: Ghost assets

It’s been a week since Ghost’s closed-casket funeral on ‘Power Book II‘ where we saw who we believed to be James St. Patrick being laid to rest at a high-profile ceremony that attracted all the usual suspects including shameless slimeball Rashad Tate who served as a pallbearer for a photo op, of course.

But the lingering question STILL remained: Is Ghost REALLY dead–like, DEAD dead?

Welllll, according to Naturi Naughton, he’s very dead and not coming back:

“I hate to break it to you guys. I know many of our fans are like, ‘This is not, no, he’s going to come back, he’s going to be Ghost’, our show doesn’t do that – when people die, they really die,” revealed Naturi Naughton in an exclusive interview with DigitalSpy.

“I hope this is not a spoiler… I’ll just say that in this case Ghost doesn’t come back to life, he really is dead. I’m sorry,” she added.

This comes after the iconic character was shot and killed by his own son Tariq in a shocking scene played from multiple perspectives in a multi-part “Power” finale.

Now, if you remember, Kanan (played by 50 Cent) returned to the series after seemingly being roasted crispy in a warehouse fire so there’s a slight glimmer of hope for anyone expecting Ghost to join hit spin-off “Power Book II.”

“I know the character of Ghost will sometimes be pushed back when I’m playing another role. I am more than one dimension. However, if someone calls me Ghost on the street that’s fine but I am not scared of this character to follow me. I did not quarantine my talent when I was playing Ghost. I did nine movies during that time,” said Omari Hardwick in an interview with Page Six.

Do you think Ghost is really dead? Would you want to see him return on “Power Book II?” Tell us in the comments and peep the Twitter chatter over Ghost NOT being dead on the flip.

Ciara - 2019 American Music Awards

Much like anyone else who has experienced being pregnant over the past few months, Ciara’s pregnancy with her youngest child, Win, is a lot unlike her previous two.

During a virtual appearance on Monday’s episode of  The Motherhood Juggle lifestream series with the USO and Motherhood Maternity, the singer opened up to Tamron Hall about finding the “silver lining” in her pregnancy amid the coronavirus pandemic and stay-at-home orders.

“I think my biggest mission or focal point was to try my best to always find the silver lining through it all, and to find the positive moments,” Ciara said. “I think you have to take a step back and think about, the reality is it’s a blessing and a gift to be able to give birth, so if you think about that, that kind of supersedes everything.”

Looking back on her most recent pregnancy, the 35-year-old mom called the experience “unforgettable,” despite so many unknown variables throughout.

“When we were learning about COVID, I was always looking for articles that would talk about infants when they’re born, and there wasn’t a lot of articles about that,” Ciara revealed. “So for me, I was like, I’m going to be one of those moms that are in the experimental phase of it all, too, to see what happens. So it’s definitely been a memorable one, an unforgettable experience.”

Luckily, Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson, seem to be pros at this whole parenting thing–so if anyone can tackle bringing a new addition to the family in such an unusual time, it’s them. The couple now has three young children: Win, 3-year-old Sienna Princess, and 6-year-old Future Zahir, who Ciara shares with her ex, Future.
