4/30/2019 8:28 AM PDT

Breaking News

NFL Hall of Famer Gino Marchetti — a 2-time NFL champ — has died at the age of 92, his family confirms.

Marchetti wasn’t just a legend on the field — he was a U.S. Army soldier who bravely fought in the Battle of the Bulge as a machine gunner in World War II.

After he returned home from the war, Marchetti was selected in the 2nd round of the 1952 NFL Draft by the New York Yanks, which later became the Baltimore Colts.

During his NFL career, Marchetti — mainly a defensive end — was selected to 11 Pro Bowls and was a 9-time 1st Team All-Pro!!!!!

Marchetti was such a stud, he was named to the NFL’s 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, joining guys like Deacon Jones and Reggie White

His number 89 jersey was retired by the Indianapolis Colts — and he’s a member of the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor.

Marchetti passed away at a Pennsylvania hospital with his wife, Joan, by his side.

Joan told the Baltimore Sun, “I kissed him and he knew me and smiled … That was Gino’s way of saying goodbye.”

Rodney King’s Daughter Launches Fund To Help Black Fathers

Rodney King’s daughter Lora is honoring her late father’s legacy on the 27th anniversary of the historic L.A. Riots.

She is set to pay tribute to King’s life and legacy through the “I am a King” scholarship, which she launched on Monday. The goal for this scholarship is to celebrate Black fathers by removing financial barriers that prohibit entertainment outings, which were cleared for her father when the city awarded him $3.8 million in damages for abuse he suffered at the hands of police.

Lora’s goal is to provide financial support for Black fathers in an effort to help them play a more active role in their children’s lives, according to reports from NBC Washington. The scholarship will cover the costs for dining and entertainment, which includes an all-expenses-paid trip to Disneyland.

These funds range in value and are going to be issued periodically via The Rodney King Foundation. King plans reach out to the public to solicit donations, as several private donors have already backed the fund with more than $10,000 in donations, according to a press release.

Black American fathers can go to and apply for the scholarship.

Porsha Williams Speaks On Her Post-Baby Body

Porsha Williams hasn’t dropped all of her baby weight since giving birth to baby Pilar Jhena—and she’s completely fine with that.

As previously reported Porsha and her fiance Dennis McKinley welcomed their daughter on March 22 and they couldn’t be happier.

Porsha’s now highlighting her pregnancy and being a new mom on Bravo’s “Porsha’s Having A Baby” special and she recently spoke with PEOPLE about the show and new mommyhood. According to Porsha, she’s completely comfortable with her postpartum baaaawdy and she purposely wears fitting clothing to show it off.

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star also says she’ll bounce back naturally and “in her own time.”

“I’ve done the opposite of what people do when they get shamed online. They hide because you shame them,” Williams says. “I actually post pictures with fitting clothes, still showing my postpartum body. I’m proud of it. I’m going to bounce back naturally, and I’m not going to stress myself.”

“I think for anyone who just gave birth and is trying to get used to her brand-new body, it’s difficult, right?” she adds. “And you wouldn’t want anybody to add to how stressful [new parenthood is] and how you mentally think about yourself. You don’t want them to add to the stress of that.”

How refreshing is that? In Hollywood, it’s common to see ladies with six-pack abs just WEEKS after giving birth. And while that’s no knock to them, that’s just not realistic for a number of people.

Here’s how Porsha currently looks;

Porsha also told PEOPLE that she had difficulty recovering from her C-section and she kept it honest about going through that major surgery.

“A lot of people think that C-sections are easy — an easier way to give birth. But I assure you, it is full, serious surgery. It was difficult!”

“Even recovery — healing from the cut and taking care of a newborn while being on pain medication and dealing with your body’s shock of having just had a baby,” Williams adds. “I’m doing pretty good now, but it was just a lot.”

Kudos to Porsha, she makes motherhood despite it’s challenges look easy and baby Pilar Jhena (whose face we still haven’t seen) is precious.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha’s Having a Baby airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

More postpartum Porsha on the flip.

In a separate interview, Porsha revealed that she’s actually not breastfeeding Pilar Jhena.

According to Porsha, breastfeeding just didn’t work out for her.

“I’m not breastfeeding,” Porsha revealed EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife. “It didn’t work out for me. I really did try, but I just wasn’t producing enough milk so it just didn’t work out for me. We [Fiancé Dennis McKinley, 38, and Porsha] don’t get any sleep but we love it! We’re delirious but it’s great! I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

She also added that being a new mom has taught her patience and her boo Dennis McKinley has applauded her for it.

“He’s like, the patience that you have now is incredible. You have to be so patient to be a mom. You are on that baby’s schedule and everything takes time, love and patience so I feel like overall in all of our relationships, I’ve probably become more patient.”

Good for you Porsha.

Bobby Brown Threatens Chris Rock Over Whitney Houston Crack Joke

Over the weekend, Chris Rock shared a funny meme featuring Whitney Houston that rubbed ex-husband Bobby Brown wrong. Now Bobby wants to “bust” Chris’ azz. Chris reposted the below meme to his Instagram account with the added caption, “Hurry up I got crack to smoke.”

The post grabbed the attention of Bobby Brown, who made some credible threats to Rock before it was deleted.

Bobby wrote,

“When I see you on site I am going to smack every tooth out of your mouth. I thought you was a friend to my family but when I see you I’m a bust your a**.”

Bobby continued with his disgust for Rock in a few more comments saying,

“During this time of women empowerment you chose your time to humiliate our QUEEN.”

So far, Rock hasn’t responded publicly to Brown. He did, however, delete the post.

NYPD Shows Recruitment Videos At Several Theaters Showing ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Instead of recruiting culturally competent folks who have a deep understanding of the people and the histories of communities they serve…

Apparently, NYPD is trying to recruit folks who are fans of the Avengers.

According to New York Daily News, the department is showing a video promoting enrollment in their cadet program at theaters screening the blockbuster hit Avengers: Endgame.

The video will air for eight weeks at six movie theaters showing Endgame, including two theaters in Manhattan, and one in each of the outer boroughs.

“It’s not an internship. It’s not a part-time job. It’s not a temp gig. It’s the beginning of a rewarding career with the New York City Police Department,” the minute-long clip says.

The department recruits college students as NYPD cadets and they get paid for their time along with up to $20,000 in tuition assistance. Most of them ultimately join the NYPD and become cops. The NYPD says typical Avengers fans, young and diverse, would be perfect cadets and police officers.

Great, another George Zimmerman-esque officer who thinks they’re Captain America, saving the world and defending property.

What do you think of this recruitment technique? Completely too much or well targeted?

Let us know.
